I had never heard of the chain before, but as soon as I learned they were owned by dreaded Kroger's, I saw the whole picture. The business is based on a complex coupon paradigm that challenges even the most astute shopper, and forces people to spend undue amount of time studying the illegible digital flyers. The real scam is the chain dangle these "loss leader" specials in order to get you in the store, but it is rare that the discounted item is even available. And, get this, they won't honor rainchecks. So, essentially, they've hooked you into the store and it didn't cost them a penny. And even with the supposed sale items and digital coupons (if you're lucky to be there when they are available), the costs for basic items are well above what shoppers pay who are lucky enough to live near an honest grocery store. It's sad in a small town like Pueblo, where the working class populace is forced over a barrel. There are so few options that Krogers/King Soopers can make claims that they are the cheapest, freshest, etc. Bull. Soon a large merger may take place between Kroger and Albertson's/Safeway which will make this conglomerate richer, more powerful, and our choices fewer. I think along with making sure this company doesn't violate anti-trust laws, they should investigate them under the Rico laws. This is clearly organized theft. Food is a human necessity, and when a company is in the business of selling it, they should be forced to provide it at reasonable costs.

They have become so neglectful about not only not appreciating customers - but now not even acknowledging them - that we have moved nearly all of our business elsewhere. Management keeps saying they Acknowledge, Appreciate and Assist as corporate policy - but I can only get even assistance by interrupting their personal conversations. These days they won't even look you in the eye, let alone say "Good morning." My last survey requested email contact and said again that the policy of 3 A's is ignored at this store. Management did not even acknowledge my email request, let alone reply. We are done with King Soopers, except for items we can't find elsewhere. We like doing business where our business i s appreciated - so we now buy our meat at Frank's and our bakery good at Zoelsmann's. Supporting local, family-owned businesses feels awfully good. "So long" to you King Soopers - yes even at the loss of fuel points.

Today was my third attempt this " establishment ". First…read moretime, the girls at the counter were so rude and so wrapped up and giggling, and being on their cell phones, they couldn't get my order right to save their life. Then they walked away, after I explained twice, nicely, that they should be off their phones, paying attention to the customer and be thorough with their order. They then told some 12 yr old looking kid, who looked lost, staring in the opposite direction, to finish my order. He was LOST, tho I extended him grace, thanked him,and grabbed my food. As I am walking out, the meat cutter looked at me, and I just looked at him and said you gotta do something about those girls . He said one was definitely a problem and the other needed to step it up. He apologized and gave me a couple slices of bacon to try at home on the house . Second time I went in was about a month later, and they basically threw the food at me on the counter after it was up , the silverware went on the floor. I only ordered, never spoke any other word, different people that time. I merely picked up my food and walked out. 3rd time, today, I ordered 3/4 # carne meat and 1/4 pork fat. The girl had only put, 1/3 one in a container, I asked " what was that" nicely, wondering if it was something, different. I explained that I had asked for 3/4 pound and a3 pound of the pork fat . She said " then why don't you say what do you mean?" My switch flipped‼ I said you know this is the third time that I've come in here and every time I have an issue I don't have an issue eating anywhere else on the Southside, she was already signed and rolling her eyes at me and she nasty responded. Well" me either." Ask her if it was my speech or my pronunciation and she didn't hear me right ? She said no, " it's none of that". " you just need to tell it like it is and speak what you want." I held my tongue, and I then grabbed my food. I asked for utensils she handed them to me. , it didn't look like there was any type of a manager, and I don't know who owns this place, but there should be beyond shame upon them. I only went there today upon my wife's prompting because she wanted some pork fat. That girl today was an absolute CUNNT‼ I hope this establishment closes and never reopens another business Again!

Sauces are rated from 1 to WTF (which I did not try this time but probably will next time). I am a person that thinks heat is a flavor profile so it was fun trying several sauces. These are all homemade in their kitchen on site, and I found some very interesting and unique pairings. I believe they are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so if you have an opportunity and a desire to try out some creative, hot sauce blends I highly recommend stopping by. Very friendly people, and I will definitely be going back. Help support a local business!
