The pain got worst over a one year period. I have cement floors in half my house. Chris advice was to never walk bare-footed from the moment of waking up to the time I went to bed. Unlike other chiro's, who I think build their biz model on a couple of years of adjustments per patient, Health First has a front loaded cost structure, so you are definitely paying out of pocket for your care. Fortunately my insurance covered insurance, even out of state, and I was able to recoup a significant part of my expenses. It was totally worth it for me, however, as it has truly set me on the path of personal wellness. I am back in my home state, seeing another Blair practitioner, as well as other musculoskeletal specialists, to assist with my ongoing reset of my alignment after many years of subtle but impactful mis-alignment. A neighbor recommended him to me and warned me that there was a bit of an expense at first, but it was well worth it and to hang in there. I was willing to try anything to get rid of this pain. Basically he's training your spine to be in the right position so you don't experience pain. His adjustments are done with only the neck area. He doesn't twist you all over the place like a regular chiropractor does. However, he is not a regular chiropractor. He's considered one of the best in his field. I even sent one of my friends to him that has a rod in her back, and she was extremely pleased that he was able to give her some relief from her pain. To boot......my 33yo son died and I had to cancel a couple times because of things that happen after someone dies so unexpectedly so I get charged $50 for cancellation and threatened to have all my future appointments cancelled as well. Thanks you inhuman, insensitive POS at the desk for the extra heartbreak and stress I definitely didn't need. Especially as a disabled person in the worst times of my life possible. I continued receiving treatments through 2022 and 2023 (25 in total) and paid cash out of pocket for those. Their office manager failed to correctly submit bills for the first 6 visits in 2022 and now in 2024 they are billing me for those visits, nearly 700.00 dollars. I asked for verification that the visits were billed to insurance and to see verification that the claims were declined. They said they could provide none. After complaint they reduced payment to 325.00 dollars but would not take further responsibility for their offices' failures. My insurance would have covered those first six visits at 100% (costing me nothing) in 2022. But the insurances will not pay anything for them now in 2024. PLEASE GET THINGS IN WRITING FROM THESE GUYS. I think my treatment from them was less than reputable.
