There was no apology or concern shown after I had already struggled up the stairs despite explaining my physical limitations. The lack of empathy and professionalism was honestly upsetting. My appointment was scheduled for 1:00 PM, but I was not called back until after 1:45 PM. Again, there was no apology or communication regarding the delay when I asked. Thankfully, once I was brought back, the experience improved significantly. The dental assistant was kind, welcoming, and professional. Dr. May was amazing as always, and the dental hygienist assisting with my filling was wonderful as well. I truly appreciate the care and respect shown by the clinical staff. However, first impressions matter. The front desk is the first interaction patients have with a practice, and negative experiences there can deeply affect whether someone feels comfortable returning. You never know what someone may already be going through physically or emotionally, which is why kindness and empathy are so important.
