They are on a first name basis with most of their long-term tenants and as flexible as they can be with the military. The amenities and everything else are always clean and nice. The mailroom is the best because the staff will receive your packages. The area can't be beat. My only fault is the thin walls and sometimes backwards planning on some of the layouts, but what can you do.

ORIGINAL POST: Great amenities, nice location, kind people working in the on-site rental office. But there is a big issue--garage security is not sufficient for increasing auto theft activity in the area. Since moving here in 2023, my car has been vandalized 3 times, the latest being sometime during the night 6/30/26 when someone broke my window and rifled through my car. 5 other cars (mostly Hondas, Toyotas, Kias, Hyundais) also had tires stolen and/or were broken into. Less than 2 months ago, same deal. Multiple cars broken into and all 4 of my tires were stolen, even though I had wheel locks. There are cameras, but the thieves don't care and it won't stop them. Anne Arundel police are called, but apart from a week of increased police presence in the Towne Centre, things go back to normal. Unfortunately, the convenient location is what makes it so easy for criminals to drive right off the highway, hit all the local parking lots in minutes, and drive away into the sunset with your car parts. The amount of apartment parking in such proximity makes it like shooting fish in a barrel to these auto part thieves. ANYONE can get into the garage and pretty easily lift / break the gate to get into the basement. You can do everything right, like parking under lights, directly under the cameras, away from street level, have wheel locks, and it will not deter these criminals. Until Crosswinds heightens security or has an overnight on-site presence solely for their garage, you might want to think twice about moving here if you have a Toyota, Honda, Kia, or Hyundai. For the rent prices, you might not want the repeated hassle.

With and office efficient printer why would we use the amazing computer room, which is always functional and stocked with ink paper and an empty seat? Inside the apartment I have privacy from my kids my room is separated by the living room so we have our own spaces. Two bathrooms. A huge open kitchen. Dog friendly property. To counter those negatives of other reviews: The noise- I live near the street and it's bearable. I only hear neighbors when we have noisy ones but I do complain. Other than that I don't know of the noise people speak of it really isn't any and I'm on the ground level. The cleanliness- the maintenance team will respond and clean whatever is a problem. The hallways are cleaned daily- at least mine is- I see them on my way to work. The common areas are always very very clean. They treat the apartments a couple times a year to prevent bugs. With it being a newer development we used to have theses silver bugs I haven't seen those nor the spiders in a long time now. Rodents... I've never seen mice rats or anything not even a stray cat, an occasional rabbit may hop pas the window tho. The staff- yeah I had that problem too but the present staff is cool. Just a note - people pay a nice amount of money to live here and should be treated as such. The cost- you get what you pay for. It's worth the peace of mind and amazing community. My whole row home fit nicely into this 3 bedroom. The safety- the only way anyone knows how to access this property is if they've been here before. It's gated. Key fob access is used on all the amenities. It's confusing as heck to navigate for strangers, chances are they'll get lost trying to come on the premises to commit any sort of crime. When I first moved here they use to have police ride through sometimes during the night, this was before all the development around not sure if they still do that. I come home and go to work various hours of the early morning or late night and have never encounter anything unsafe. Ok I'm finished! I love where I live and my kids do too. This is going to be a long one…read more The reasons why it's not a 5-star review: - The lack of consequences for dog feces/urine in the pathways of residents (indoor/outdoor) - The residents don't pick up/clean after their dog's feces/urine (there are bags available and trash bins available throughout the complex) so it's common to step on dog poop while walking on the sidewalk. The smell of feces in the grass too is very unpleasant. - The lack of consequences for unleashed dogs - it's in the leasing agreement and a violation if not followed. While it was a pet friendly apartment - there wasn't much enforcement for any irresponsible dog owners who let their dog unleashed (besides in the dog park). - Fitness center - had only 1 working treadmill for quite some time and some weights were missing, finally by summer 2024, they updated the facility, and it looks great. - Depending on which person in the leasing office is sorting through the mail in the package room, your package may be easy to find or sometimes not. - Lack of consistent notification of when the leasing office is closed. On some holidays, the leasing office team does not give notice if their office is closed. Some holidays aren't observed for residents but at the very least there should be some notice. - Lack of security. For the entire duration of my residency, at least 10 cars have been broken into and or bricked (wheels stolen), even in the parking garage. The culprits targeted Toyota sedans (Corollas, Camry's) and the occasional Honda sedans. It sucks for those residents affected, not sure what was done to mitigate that issue. - A longtime resident I had made friends with even mentioned that the service/maintenance has gone downhill, so they were on their way out after living there for a few years. - Leasing office rarely answers their phone, you're better off emailing them or going in-person. - Residents are driving way too fast in the parking lots and especially the garage that has caused a near hit of residents, their kids, pets, and other cars. - There are only 2 elevators and only 1 can be used for moving-in/moving out and this is in the main building so you're SOL if you're in the other buildings (have to use stairs), or if the freight elevator is broken. There's no loading dock for moves and some locations for a particular apartment isn't convenient for movers = you may be charged more if you're moving in/moving out using moving companies. - The pricey rent did not equate to the overall maintenance of the complex, services, lack of security, and amenities that was offered. The reasons why it's a 3-star review: - Katie's attentiveness and kindness from when I first moved in to all the way till I moved out - she's the reason why this not a 2-star review. - The proximity of the apartment complex, it is so close to many stores, grocery, mall, etc. - The maintenance team. Anytime you need to get something fixed, the maintenance team is really quick. Don't read the apartments(.)com reviews. I was basing my decision to move into this apartment through that site and sorta regret it (moved from CA to MD).

Over the last 2 weeks, I began hearing weird noises in my kitchen. I initially thought it was the ice maker, but then became concerned that it was something else. When I came home from work today, I saw a mouse run from underneath my refrigerator to underneath my stove. Mind you, I am a very CLEAN individual (slightly OCD when it comes to cleanliness). When I went to the front office to address my concern, the staff member at the front appeared very irritated. It may have been because I took my dog into the office with me. Although she is a larger breed, I see small dogs in there all the time without an attitude or issue from staff. Maintenance came to my apartment within 15minutes and provided me with 2 sticky mouse traps. About 15-30 minutes after he left, the mouse had been caught. I was initially relieved and thought my issue had been resolved but approximately an hour later, ANOTHER mouse was caught on the 2nd trap. I called the emergency maintenance number and maintenance did come back. I was given 2 more traps and told that pest control would need to be contacted and that they would return the next day. I am now up to 3 mice being caught and one that's still on the loose. When I tried to post about this issue on the resident bulletin, it was immediately taken down twice. Having mice in an apartment is unacceptable!!! I am now waiting to hear back from management in reference to how this issue will be resolved (finding how they are getting in, patching up holes, etc.) and how I can be compensated for this disgusting inconvenience. I have NEVER had an issue with mice in my entire 15yr rental history. There is no excuse!!!

(Which is a poor service) Dogs are allowed here so the place definitely has a super dog odor. Trash day makes it smell like trash for a couple days which trash day is every Tuesday and Thursday, I do smell trash Tuesday through Friday-Saturday. Then the trash man are super loud every Tuesday/Thursday morning so no sleeping in. Paying for your bill; You can to pay a convenience fee % based off of the amount you are trying to pay online with their convenient online website. Why would you have to pay more money to pay for your bill??? That is crazy.... sigh they will do either money orders or checks. All inconvenient. Maintenance orders; You can place your order online or go to the front desk to ask them? They are pretty good about checking up on any problems with the apartment. Although just moving in there really shouldn't be problems. Such as my carpet was coming up from the floor... Bathroom jacks were not working...
