I've lived here 2 1/2 yrs. and this is my "honest" review. The building is secure and having inside parking is nice. The leasing office has little gatherings often which promotes communication between neighbors. All of the employees have been very nice and always accommodating. Maintenance tickets are put in for repairs and they come that day or the next. There are no loud parties, children screaming in the hallway or weed smoking. The rent is high. The appliances could be better and toilets could be higher. Pest control is available upon request. I'm on the ground floor. I've had a raccoon sleeping on my balcony, about 6 cockroaches, a few spiders and one mouse. All of which were immediately addressed. Never any infestation or constant problem. read more

Buyer beware! I used to sing the praises of this complex, but not anymore. We moved out less than 30 days ago and I just received an email from debt collectors regarding a $207 balance on our apartment. Less than 30 days!! I went to log in and pay the balance earlier this week, already locked out. Lived there for 3 years, never late on rent, and then this? WTF. Lest I not mention, the elevator in building one is out and has been for some time. They had to move people to other parts of the complex or buy them out of their leases. We had one neighbor with constant rodent issues. I heard numerous complaints from other neighbors regarding the recent snow removal (or lack there of). The gates to the garage are constantly broken. Heather was always a great manager but obviously upper management is BS and pinching pennies. I emplore you, look at private rentals before you try any of these rip off corporate run rentals. As for me...I guess Bell needs this $207 more than I do. read more

I moved into Bell West on Annapolis in November 2024, after previously living at Maris on West Street -- which was an amazing experience. I was warned by my former property manager not to move to Bell West due to a known rodent issue. At the time, I didn't see any recent reviews online confirming that, so I gave them a chance. Big mistake. During my tour, I asked the assistant manager, Tysia, if they had rodent issues. She confidently told me "no." That was a bold-faced lie. From the moment I moved in, I experienced problem after problem: * My toilet clogged multiple times. * Upstairs neighbors were so loud it sounded like horses galloping at all hours. * I had to call pest control due to ants and fruit flies. * Trash was constantly left in front of doors by residents -- and there is NO valet trash service, so it just sat there, attracting more pests. Multiple residents, including myself, complained, but nothing was done. Now, onto the most disturbing part -- the rats. I first saw a rat in the trash room and immediately reported it to management. They claimed they'd call pest control. Not long after, I saw another rat outside that same trash room. I lived on the first floor with my toddler, and going in and out of the parking garage (which was frequently broken) became terrifying. I stopped having company over out of embarrassment and fear they'd encounter a rat in the hallway. Then came April 3rd, while I was working from home -- a rat ran into my apartment from the hot water room. I screamed and ran to the leasing office in a panic. The assistant manager said maintenance would come. The manager, Heather, apologized and told me maintenance saw the rat and sealed the hole it came from. I was told it was "gone." Later that day, after going to Walmart to buy cleaning supplies (because a rat had literally run across my floors), I came back -- and the rat ran out AGAIN. I went to the office hysterical, told them I refuse to live with rodents, especially with my toddler, and booked a hotel that night. I haven't stayed there since. The manager later had to escort me into the unit just to get essentials because I was too afraid to go in alone. Even the assistant manager refused to step inside. I told them I needed a few days to find movers, storage, and a safe place for us. In the meantime, they told me pest control would set traps since they knew I was not staying there anymore. I called ahead before going in to pack, and they claimed the traps had been collected and the "mouse" was dead. But while packing, my mom screamed from the bathroom -- there was a dead rat on a sticky trap. Clearly, the problem was never handled. When I moved my daughter's toy kitchen, there were rat droppings all behind it. Despite all this, they want to charge me as if I lived there for the full lease. I only stayed in that unit for two nights. I never received a single call from upper management. And now they're threatening collections. To top it off: * You can't get packages unless the office is open or you pay extra. * The gates rarely work. * The neighbors were rude. * My rent was $300-$500 higher than what they're currently advertising. * Days after I moved out, they reposted my unit for $600 more. * And according to the pest control technician, other units had roaches. So, if you enjoy living with rats, roaches, surprise hidden fees, broken amenities, and a management team that lies and refuses to take responsibility -- Bell West on Annapolis is perfect for you. Great location and the front desk staff as well as the maintenance crew are extremely kind and helpful. The gym is a little small but fine for an apartment complex. The pool is probably the worst thing considering it's surrounded by the main building and gets little to no sun throughout the summer months. Other than that It's pretty close the USNA academy / Football stadium and right off of West street that gets you anywhere in Annapolis. read more

Fire alarms go off too frequently, ruined several nights of sleep. When they sent me the move out charges, I usually assume there's a month to pay a bill but they sent it to a debt collection agency after only 15 days after receiving the bill. They claim it was fair to do that because a very small statement at the end of the bill that states they send it to a debt collection agency after 10 days. I'm someone with excellent credit (820+) and really disgusted they would ruin someone's credit because they didn't receive a payment in 15 days. There were no reminders/warnings via either text, call, or email, after the bill attached in an email (nothing additional in the mail either). That seems really greedy and unethical. read more

Place sucks. Can't call the main office to speak with someone, literally, can't call and speak to someone in the office. Washers/Dryers in the units are European and take roughly 4 hours to do one load. Maintenance staff is so lazy. They don't like to replace broken things, just repair them. (Meaning you have to keep getting the same stuff fixed monthly) Place is overpriced and parking sucks. Don't live here. Update: washer and dryers have been changed out for new bad machines. So they cut the time down by 30 minutes. The tour never mentions the machines are European and take double the time. So while all the machines are new, they still suck haha. Should have just paid he cost to have real washers and dryers installed. Always trying to be cheap. Additionally, if you notice someone from corporate said send us an email. You literally can't call these people. Goes to a corporate system first. Sometimes you just want to call and speak to someone at your location about an issue. Not a corporate person that will send the issue to someone in customer service. Review it. Send it to be local person and maybe someone in the office will get back with you. So just take my advice, don't live here. read more

Love the new manager Melat, and love our residents' Facebook group. Since things have improved markedly ever since we have a new community manager, I would generally recommend this place, we are just having bad luck with our specific apartment. Hopefully that will get resolved. The pool rules are very unpopular because they are super restrictive (have to wear a wristband, can bring max 2 guests, no alcohol ever). I think building 3 is the best building of the 3 because we don't have parking problems. The kids are LOUD if your apartment happens to be facing the Parole elementary school. Bell Annapolis on West were some of the best apartments I have ever lived in. I lived there about 4 months after management changed over to Melat after which it seems the apartment complex improved considerably based on previous reviews. The apartments were originally designed to be condos. The interior has stainless steel appliances, ceramic stove-top, very nice blinds, nice washer/dryer, and molding. Additionally, the apartments are well insulated, and you very rarely hear the neighbors. I honestly didn't realize how nice it was until my mom was here, and she loves playing with interior design. The other nice thing is they have Parcel Pending so you can pick up your packages whenever is convenient for you. They were also very fast in repairing any work orders - mostly within 2 days. To be fair, they did try to fix anything that was not working before replacing which I would consider normal. The most impressive fix was when my washer or dryer completely stopped working. I had a new one within 2 days. The Staff were very friendly and personable. This apartment complex is in a great location as well. Most everything is within 2 miles or less. The unfortunate part, for me, is that there is a Starbucks in the same parking lot area as the main office. So, I developed a bit of a Starbucks addiction. To address some of the other things mentioned here - yes, you will hear sirens from time to time. This is on the main road. If that doesn't bother you, you are good. There were times when the fire alarms went off although I believe they were fixing that issue. This happened a couple times within 1.5 years which I don't consider to be that bad. If my new job were near Annapolis, I would have definitely stayed. Unfortunately, I had to move in the April/May timeframe. read more

Apartments are nice. Got a good deal on my rent when I moved in. I would say those are the only positives. Customer service: BOOOOOOOOOOOO! I've lived here for two years, through 2 management changes. I've been a great tenant. Never missed/late on rent. Hardly complained except for my horrendously noisy upstairs neighbors, which the leasing office staff didn't effectively resolve. Upon renewal once new management took over, they attempted to raise my rent $390. Absolutely not. Negotiated that down to $100 which is still way too much. (other communities in the area will only raise $50 minimum, look for those) I'm paying $75 a month for "garage parking" however I'm not even allowed to park in the garage in my building because it is now retail only parking...Don't understand why a community or management company would want to limit parking to their sole purpose of revenue...the residents. Also, when I left my car in this garage overnight (forgot I had parked it there because I'm hardly ever here anymore) I woke up in the morning to go to work and my car was towed. $364 later, you now have an even more dissatisfied resident. Why wouldn't you ticket me, or idk call me in the morning since I'm a human being and things happen. No need to completely eff up my morning and leave me without transportation to work. Again, customer service goes a LONG way. I was already planning on moving somewhere else (peacefully), but now I'm just pretty unhappy about the whole experience living here, and I'll be sure to spread the word. Peace out! If you're looking for an apartment, definitely be sure to look around in the area, pay attention to the leasing office staff where you go, look into reviews for not only the property, but ESPECIALLY the management company. We used to live at Regatta Bay and had Melat as a community manager. She transferred to this property and we decided to be loyal residents and follow her lol. She's been amazing! Despite the negative reviews, we haven't had any issues since living here. She's gone above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable once we moved in and she still checks in on us. The clubhouse is legit! Really nice brand new equipment and the courtyard was recently renovated and looks fabulous! I def recommend this place. read more

This apartment for real sucks. First the heater breaks on one of the coldest days here, the fire alarms always go off, maintenance takes weeks to fix anything and now that it's hot and humid the ac breaks. I have two small children and we have been here for 5 weeks, Not renewing when our lease ends this summer. I'm so glad we only signed an 8 month lease. This is why you have ceiling fans! Stupid bell partners!!Stay away from all their communities, we transferred from their community in NC to here and they are all the same!! TRASH! Everything should have been fixed and ready to go before we moved in but you wouldn't believe the amount of maintenance requests I've had to put in already. The staff doesn't care about tenants, they actually complained when they had to do the tenant appreciation week while residents were there!!!!! People smoke weed in halls, stairwells and elevators but neither management or corporate try to remedy it. Just tonight the gated garage door you drive through to park your car is broken. They are renovating trash rooms, seriously?! The trash room?! The elevator sounds like it's about to crash and burn when used, halls leaking, garage has water damage and many other issues here but they want to make sure the trash room is pretty. Garbage goes in there! Nobody cares how that looks!!!! Run away from this community and don't look back!!!! Update: they came to fix my ac, not listening to what I'm saying is wrong and tonight I needed to use it and of course it's still BROKEN!!!!!!!!! Calling corporate tomorrow, you will compensate my bill for this crap. Also maintenance marked several of my work orders as completed when they didn't even come by to fix them. This place is a total joke, negative 5 stars from me. Another update: they will be renovating the ENTIRE clubhouse and ALL amenities will be closed for over two months!! Update: the seal of the pipe under our kitchen sink busted but what's new with a trash apartment right? Half our apartment has been broken and we moved in over New Years. Just wow. Also illegal parking in garages are allowed even though you can't get out of your spot so you end up late to work because of it. All the extra fees are absolutely true and the dryers are crap. Seriously do yourself a favor and look at another community. If it has anything to do with Bell Partners then run, you've been warned. read more

This is by a wide margin the worst place I have ever rented. I have rented from a dozen people over the years, and been a landlord myself, and I've never seen such a money-grubbing awful company. Rather than just launch into a tirade, I'll tell you the facts and let them speak for themselves: 1. The second my lease was up, they raised my initially reasonable rent by 20%. When I complained, they "very generously" lowered the increase to 15%. Gee, thanks guys. 2. They recently implemented towing policies in their empty parking garage for the sole purpose of getting a kickback from the towing company they use. After I asked where overnight visitors could park, I told my friend to park in the lot they specified. They towed him anyway and I had to pay $364 to get his car out of the lot. When I asked them to reimburse me because they told me that was where visitors should park, the surly and unpleasant woman in the leasing office basically told me to go pound sand. They have essentially made a side business out of towing their residents' cars from an empty lot that has no need for towing. It is basically impossible to have anyone visit overnight here. This has happened to several other tenants I am friends with. 3.This was after they charged me $90 for a key fob so my once-a-month housecleaning service could get into the garage. It fell apart immediately, because it retails for $5 on amazon. This is just one example of how They will nickel-and-dime the hell out of you. Also, they left a note threatening to ticket my housekeeper after she had been parked there for just one hour, after I paid money for her to be able to get into the garage. 4. They "forgot" that I had set up online bill pay from my checking account TWICE, then charged me a late fee for not paying my rent for three days, at which point they put a notice on my door and told me I had to pay a 5% late fee and a 3% credit card fee, which was the first I heard about it. I'm sure they forgot on purpose. Again, this has happened to several other tenants I am friends with. 5. I was locked out of my house one night because my key would no longer turn the lock. After an hour of finagling I finally got in. I complained about this vociferously, they did nothing about it. I was eventually forced to go buy my own lock that worked because their maintenance people didn't care enough to come fix it so I could get into my own apartment that they are overcharging me for. 6. My dishwasher fell out of the counter. My toilet is broken and is full of black mold. My microwave is broken. Both of my exterior doors do not reliably shut. 7. The first month they tried to charge me ~$100 for electricity, which is ridiculous because I had the utilities put in my name on the very first day of my lease. After I showed them the bill from the electric company they finally waived that, but it took weeks. 8. Then they charged me $10 to register to pick up parcels that are delivered to me. So you have to pay to get your own mail. 9. They will also enter your apartment unscheduled and without permission, whether or not you are home. And if you tell them not to, they will ignore you. 10. For the first couple months I lived there, the key fobs were broken, so I couldn't get into the mail room or the gym. It took them months to fix this. The parking garage door doesn't shut. I had to go into the office depressingly frequently to deal with all this crap. 11. Their fancy pool opens way after memorial day and closes way before labor day. 12. They have grills, but they lock them inside the pool at 7, so if you want to grill after that time you can't. When I asked them to leave one out for me, once again they told me to go to hell. Rent somewhere else. This place sucks and if you live here I guarantee you will regret it. And if you do... just remember to tack on about $450 to the rent price they quote you... $50 for parking, $100 for water and gas, and $100 for all the fees they will make up out of thin air every month. And $200 because they towed your car. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE. The problems with this building and management are never ending. First and foremost they have a huge mice and cockroach infestation. They have pest control come twice a month but instead of fixing the issues of where the mice are coming in they just do easy solutions and bandaid the problems. one of their responses to our infestation was " No where in your lease did it ever say that you wouldn't have mice". All of their appliances are cheap as well. The dishwashers do not work. You have to run the dryer 3 times to get your clothes dry and the drawers don't properly close. It looks nice from the outside but I guarantee that this place is more of a headache then an enjoyable place to live. Management was so unhelpful that the residents had to start our own tenants union. read more

Do not live here. The manager Melat is extremely unprofessional and after I brought up issues of destroyed property she acted as if she didn't care and like it wasn't her problem. I needed to write a police report but she didn't offer to write up- an incident report nor did she seem the least bit concerned that someone is keying residents cars. The mail situation is a disaster and I have have lost numerous packages because if their inadequate mail room. They don't have enough boxes for everyone's mail and have limited office hours so delivery personnel can't actually deliver packages to the apartment complex. There's no clear ways to deal with this, so many delivery companies just leave the packages out front - for others to possible steal. It is atrocious but management does not seem to care. Nikkia at reception is awful and rude. She is rude and condescending and while I explained my destroyed property issue to the management (that didn't care) she was actually smirking at me. I have never seen such unprofessional behavior. Kimberly has always been great but the horrible experiences with Nikkia outweighs this. read more

Bell has started a renaissance here. At first there was a lot of issues with the old Management Staff. But, Bell brought in a whole new staff led by Melat and it's awesome now. All types of renovations and community events. The picture attached is a free event that they had catered to kick off our newly renovated club house. They had food, drinks, and a DJ. I don't write negative reviews unless something serious has happened or if attempts at communication/resolution break down. For this reason I recommend you look elsewhere. I was enticed by what seemed like a comparatively decent deal a couple years ago while in a pinch. I haven't had rodent problems on my side, but I have a unit on McGuckian Street, which is annoying with traffic noise and firetrucks etc all night. There are frequent false and real fire alarms here. Management changed leaving a list of problems which neither team addressed appropriately. I have a dishwasher that has been problematic for over a year, now it hasn't worked at all for a month, with no answer provided regarding when it will be fixed. STAY AWAY!! Terrible place. Everything will break, you'll have to wait for maintenance for weeks. Cockroaches, mice, ants.. outdated appliances. Terrible customer service at leasing office. Not secured place, Gates are always open or broken. And your utility bills will be around $200 no matter what size of apt you choose, because they will make you pay for all unoccupied apartments too. We didn't last in this property for 4 months.. don't think you'll have a better luck, trust me! I feel very fortunate to have found this apartment complex. I just signed up for another year, starting June 2019. The staff is great, the amenities are beautiful and all -brand new. Pool table, shuffleboard table, lovely party room with kitchen, large screen entertainment lounge, business center, two workout rooms with plenty of equipment and exercise tv podcasts, treadmills, etc. Beautiful pool with all new lounge chairs and umbrella tables, outdoor grills, and smoking area with Fire pit searing, am fresco dining facilities, mailroom. Just love it here! Beautiful model apartments, too. Ask for Melat. read more

We move here from another complex in Annapolis 2 months ago and are so happy we did! The office staff are so friendly. Everything is clean and new. Our other apartment was loud and you could hear all the neighbors but we don't hear anyone in our new apartment. These were built as condos so the construction is better and noise is no problem. We face West Street but traffic has not been a noise problem at all, even when my husband works from home twice a week. Glad we moved here! read more

I really don't understand where the negative reviews come from about this place, especially about the management office. The management office here is TOP TIER. You will not find a better one anywhere in Annapolis. Melat, Kimberly, Amanda, and Sabrina and the rest of the staff are AMAZING at what they do. They have the customer service skill-set mastered. They treat you with kindness and respect always. If you need something done as far as maintenance , Glover and his team have you covered. They are extremely efficient and friendly as well. Not all buildings/residents are treated the same. If you live in one of the buildings that is not the main one, your issues are overlooked. New management is not friendly on a consistent basis. When I have had a concern about issues, they have gone unaddressed and without resolution. Gates are forever broken so security is not in place, door that is supposed to work by fob only is left ajar regularly even though office was notified, person allowed to continue to smoke inside the elevator even though he has been identified so you always smell like smoke if you use it. Water/washer colors your clothes grey and no resolution. Not all residents rec'd a new washer and dryer. Homeless hang out near the non-main apartment buildings. The best thing I can say is great yoga place in the retail space. read more

I love that the community is so near a vast array of great restaurants; some within walking distance. The newly upgraded gym is perfect for getting a great workout and the the clubhouse is great for entertaining guests; neither is very busy. The community is also near some great running trails, especially the one that loops around the Naval Academy Stadium. read more

The new management here is fantastic. They are very responsive with resident concerns, issues, etc. They are also much more personable, friendly and genuine. A few weeks back, my father had passed, and both the property manager and one of the representatives sent me individual emails, expressing their sincere condolences. I've never seen any business take the time out of their busy day to be that considerate. read more

Bell at Annapolis on west.... NO! NO! NO!! You do not want to live here. AT ALL!! There is a rat infestation on this property. About 3-4 months ago, I complained to the staff of, what use to be "The point at Annapolis" who since then has changed. I let them know, that I believe to have a mouse in my home. Of course I was given the robotic response.. "oh no, we will have our maintenance man come out" (5 hours, 4 calls, & an hour lunch later) ..they came, put down traps and called it a day. Fast forward to now, (still having the same issue) I complained again to the new management company, explaining the same thing. They gave me the same response!! So I called up a few friends, and they came to help me out. Traps were laid, two were found, and I wake up today.... AND THERE IS ANOTHER ROAMING AROUND!!! This is not the place that you want to call home. The property is falling apart, and they don't seem to be doing anything to fix it. Email after email is sent out, with claims of hopes, and wishes to be granted. Yet nothing still has been done. KEEP GOING, THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU! read more
