Mommy, Daddy & I went on another field trip to Bayshore Vet today. As usual, I was treated like the most important patient they have (although Mommy keeps reminding me that they do this for all of the fabulous pets that go there). We were warmly welcomed by Cameron and the rest of the staff. Dr. Rana took plenty of time for us and clearly answered all of Mommy's questions. I got a double jab and didn't even feel it!! I have used this vet clinic for a long time. As a retired CVT I'm always making sure my pets and family pets are taken care of. I also have known Dr. Rana a long time. I now take my service dog Mercury to the clinic and she always gets the best care. Even if she isn't a fan of the Vetty Man. I highly recommend this vet clinic for all your pets health needs. I've been to Bayshore Vet in the past for random issues, but decided to start going there again for my newest cat Stevie. It's closer to my house than my other vet so I thought I would go there again. Stevie was having issues with allergies and had a sore by her mouth. Although they are only doing curbside right now due to Covid, I still felt like they are handing everything well and it's almost easier! Dr. Rana called me shortly after they took her inside, explained everything to me and and answered all of my questions. As of her recent checkup, she is doing well and the medicine worked. The staff is very nice and didn't make me feel rushed like some places have. A day after her first appointment, the staff called to check on her which I thought was nice. Their pricing is comparable to my other vet, maybe a little less, and they also offer 50% off a new pet exam. I will continue to bring my cats there from now on! read more

We had an unpleasant experience with this clinic. We called to book an annual vet appointment and ended up apparently only being scheduled for vaccines. When this was noticed, we were charged for a vaccine visit and then again for a vet visit even though this was the clinic's mistake. In addition, we were told our pet's meds could not be refilled until the vet appointment was rescheduled. Overall felt like an unfortunate encounter, so we switched to a new clinic. read more

Dr. Singh changed my opinion of this clinic. I was not happy with the communication I was getting from the other doctor, and Dr. Singh was very responsive to my concerns, and frankly gave me a layperson's explanation of my dog's problems without treating me like I knew nothing. I would definitely recommend talking to Dr. Singh - he knows how to explain what they are doing and instill confidence in his clinic. I originally went here because they ARE more affordable than many other clinics, and at first I thought I may have made a mistake because I wasn't getting the information I needed to make decisions on my dog's care. I DO think that Dr. Singh's responsiveness and knowledge on top of reasonable prices make this clinic a very viable option for us going forward. We took 2 cats here in the past and now we took our puppy. After many issues, and our dog going into shock from being given multiple vaccines, needless to say we're going to find a new vet after the bad experience we've had. First, one of our cats has wheezing/vomit issues. Doctor recommends testing which ended up costing close to $400 only to find out no additional information on whats wrong with him. Then he just recommends prescription cat food. Why wouldn't you just do that in the first place?! The cat still has the same wheezing issues but throws up somewhat less frequently. Next, we bring our puppy for his vaccinations. They schedule an appointment and then when we get there say he can't get the next round of shots yet... well then why did you schedule an appointment?! They schedule the next appointment and when we bring the dog it's like they have no idea which shots he's already gotten and which he's supposed to get. They finally figure it out, give the shots and schedule next appointment. Each time we come it's the same thing.. they don't know what he's supposed to get, try to give him only 1 shot at a time so we have to keep coming back. When we ask why they schedule us when he can't get the shots they say they're going to they say ok we'll give it to him then if you want. So we say yeah, we're tired of coming here every two weeks, spending so much money every time.. Well, the dog has a reaction and goes into shock from having the shots together. So they have to keep him there for an hour and charge us another $100! I agree with the other reviewer that they do not educate/inform you about your pet's health and what your options are. They heavily push the flea and heartguard medications. They are disorganized in keeping track of your pet's vaccines and seem to want to make you come in as many times as they can get you to. They should just be clear and set a schedule up front. I have no problem coming multiple times if the vaccines can't be given together, but don't schedule the appointment saying you're going to give them and then change what you say when I get there!!! I do not trust this vet and would not recommend them. read more

We took out 11 year old dog here when he got into the Halloween candy. The staff was very concerned and friendly. The sized up the problem and explained the solution pretty quick. Chocolate ca actually be angerous in big amounts for a pooch. We consider our pets members of the family and the care they took was greatly appreciated. I'm writing this update as I have received another phone call from the Bayshore Vet Clinic. Dr Singh, the vet who did not treat Gaia, talked to me about Dr Kurt, the vet who did treat her. I was informed that Dr Kurt is a relief vet for the clinic--not an in-house veterinarian--and he was working the weekend my cat was seen because Dr. Singh was out of town for the holidays. After learning more about what happened, Dr. Signh has decided to end his professional relationship with Dr. Kurt: not so much because of what happened initially, but how it was treated afterwards. I commend Dr. Singh for taking his due diligence in talking with me and with the veterinarian involved. Our phone conversation led me to conclude that Dr. Singh is a genuine, compassionate person who cares for animals as well as the people who care for them. My experience with Bayshore Vet was initially quite stressful, but my opinion has done a 180 now that I have spoken with Dr. Singh. He has offered to help in future care for Gaia (she is still recovering from feline hepatic lipidosis) without charge-- a gesture that is much appreciated. Thank you, Dr. Singh. read more

Just tried them after 20 years of taking my dogs to more expensive and hard-to-schedule vets, and was very impressed. My dog had been having seizures, and after I took her back from the emergency vet she still wasn't herself. It was relatively easy to get an appointment here, even during COVID, and everyone I dealt with, up to and including Dr. Rana, was both kind and professional. Rana discussed the options with me, I elected to go with blood work, and I didn't have to wait long for the results. A very reassuring experience. read more

Would do 0 stars if I could. The vets here misdiagnosed my dog in January with a "skin infection." Had me bringing her back every 30 days while spending hundreds of dollars on appointments, useless, expensive medicine while her cancer grew and ultimately, she had to be put to sleep on Saturday. This place is a joke looking for your money. Thanks to a careless crew, I lost my best friend when she could have been saved with early detection, which was January 5th, our first appointment. read more

This was the first time I was trying a new clinic for my pet after being a long time client in another location. I was greeted and helped by both Hannah and Rachel in a very warm and welcoming manner. They helped me with my cat Suki, and even though I was running 5 minutes late, they were able to accommodate me. I cannot say enough good things about my visit/experience with Dr. Singh and the rest of the staff at the Bayshore Veterinary Clinic. My dog was acting odd last night and I could see he was in a lot of pain. After a trip to an emergency clinic I was told that he needed dental work done and possible teeth extractions. We are not from this area and I had no idea where to go. I called a friend who referred me to Dr. Singh and the clinic. i called them from the parking lot of the other vet to ask if they might be able to see us to get the blood work started. They were able to make me an appointment for about 1 hour later. We went in, Dr. Singh did a comprehensive evaluation and then asked me if I was interested in getting the procedure done today (since my dog had not eaten since yesterday morning) pending the blood work. Despereaux needed 15 teeth pulled which is really insane to even imagine. I felt like I had failed him as a parent. Not only that, but it turned out that the likely cause of his behavior over the night before was due to a growth on the bottom of his tongue that Dr. Singh found while cleaning his teeth. Dr. Singh removed the growth and then suggested that we send the tissue to a lab for a biopsy. Here is the thing, I did not know what to expect in this process--but I feel like Dr. Singh was right there to walk me through everything in a non-judgemental and compassionate way. He understood the financial burden this was and never pressured me. I felt like he really cared and that is why when I reviewed my invoice I saw over $700 deducted from my bill. Sure, this was an expensive vet trip (actually two vet visits in one day) but I feel like my pup got great care. And, I really think in the long run this is going to help him live longer. Fingers crossed the tumor comes back as a benign growth. All in all, if you are considering taking your animal to this vet I would HIGHLY recommend it. There is a high level of care here and I really think that they are affordable AND fair. Plus, I just noticed-- Dr. Singh totally cleaned my pups ears while he was sedated--and there is no mention of it on my invoice. This is not a place trying to rip you off or push things on you that you do not need. At least that was my experience. Thank you to the team. read more

Can't say enough positive things about this clinic and their staff. I took my cat borris here for a urinary blockage and he has since made a full recovery. The first day I took him in, it was close to closing hours, but when I explained the situation they got me in that evening to see the doctor. I called back the next day still worried about him, and they got me in almost immediately again. Dr. Rana and tech staff were extremely knowledgeable, sincere and caring, which made this frightening time a bit easier on me. I also think the pets can pick up on this sincerity, for Borris wasn't outwardly uncomfortable in the office at all. The days Borris was there and days following staff and Dr. Rana continued to follow up with phone calls about his status or made themselves available for questions. I will keep bringing my cats here as long as I live in Milwaukee. read more

This place is great. My dog Macie is difficult at the vet, barking and gets totally freaked out. The folks at Bayshore Vet are extremely well trained in handling her aggression and always put me at ease in the process. The facility is very clean (much appreciated!!) and professional, though there is a familiar energy that makes the space very welcoming. I took my new puppy here only because it is one of the few vet clinics in the Milwaukee area who does ear cropping. I was not pleased with the service. The process was not explained thoroughly as I expected. I paid for the procedure and was told everything was included (surgery, follow-up, stitches removal) in that price. When it came time to remove stitches they said I would have to pay for that. They also were very pushy about selling me flea, tick and many more medications. I took my cat here today for a checkup and some other procedures that needed to be done. First I have to say the staff was very friendly, informative, and they handled my cat with complete care and love. The prices were very affordable and quite competitive in comparison to other vet clinics in the area; which was very nice. They did ask me to complete a lot of tests that I did not want to do which brought the total close to $400 but when I explained that I did not want many of these done they were completely fine with it and did not pressure me at all. I've read some of the negative reviews and I can say with confidence that this is a fantastic clinic. Highly recommend them! read more

We took our dogs there for a year, but will not be back. The friendly front desk staff is the best part if the practice. HOWEVER, I always walked out having paid more than I was lead to believe ahead of time, that I was constantly up-sold, and in one case that Dr. Singh injured my dog. When I mentioned on the next visit that my dog limped for two weeks after he examined her the staff was really, really defensive about it. My tone was informative, not accusatory, but it was a huge red flag for me that they may get complaints like this regularly. Trying out a new vet and so far much happier. read more

I am a very overprotective cat mom to say the least! I first started coming here when I moved to Milwaukee about 2 years ago. I had only been here about 2 times before January when I came for my third time and met Dr. Rana. He is an absolutely fabulous doctor! He is extremely knowledgeable and instead of doing an un necessary biopsy of my cats lump, he explained to me why he didn't want to do so and made me feel much better about the whole situation. I even called back later because I was still worried and he took the time out to have a conversation with me. You can tell he really cares about the animals that he treats. I can't speak highly enough about the entire staff there. All extremely warm and welcoming. I will never go to another vet, and coming from me that says a lot! I have been coming to Dr. Singh at Bayshore Vet Clinic for nearly a decade. In addition to having two cats of my own, I have a habit of rescuing every down trodden feline I come across. Not only has Dr. Singh kept my complicated kitties happy and healthy, he and his staff have accommodated me and my rescues' every need. Odd hours, (at times) lack of funds, strange situations... the staff at Bayshore is caring, compassionate, professional, accommodating, generous, trust worthy, and just generally wonderful. I am truly blessed to have found Dr. Singh and his staff; they are consistently top notch in all that they do. On the one or two occasions when the first treatment didn't completely work, they explained my options, the reasons why there may have been complications, and worked to rectify the situation as quickly as possible... even at a reduced/zero charge. Dr. Singh is not motivated by money, he has a genuine passion for keeping our furry friends has happy and healthy as can be. I am completely confident anytime I bring an animal to Bayshore Veterinary Clinic, that he/she will be given only the best of care. Thank you Bayshore!!! PS: The guy at the front desk is named Perry, and he is such an excellent cat sitter that I made him a beneficiary on my life insurance. I'd taken my dog here for years, but I had bad experiences that last couple times I went. For example, they put my dog in a headlock to give her shots, which has never been done before and is also not necessary. The vet hadn't reviewed my dogs chart before coming in to the room and asked questions that he would've had the answers to if he'd taken the 3 minutes to review her records. The vet brought in another person in a (VERY DIRTY) lab coat, did not introduce them and began talking to me about teeth cleaning. I said i'd be interested but wanted to look into it more. I asked a few questions and the vet gave very general answers. As it turns out (I found out when checking out) the person in the room that wasn't introduced was the vet that'd be performing the teeth cleaning. He NEVER spoke up and answered my questions or assured me they'd take good care of my pet (they give them an anesthetic to do this procedure). That was the final straw for me. It may not be fully conveyed here, but I just did not get a good vibe from the last two visits and will be trying a new vet for her wellness visit this month. read more

This place is horrible. They have messed up our needs three times. 1. They prescribed my dog to be on blood pressure medicine, but my last vet said that she didn't need it. My dog has a heart murmur. However, I had to go back four times to get it because they kept ordering Heartguard and not the blood pressure medicine. 2. My dog and I wanted to travel back home for Christmas. But my dog needed something for the plane ride. The vet prescribed a mild sedative. However, the sedative had a very bad reaction with my dog and I had to take her to the Emergency Hospital. The emergency vet explained that the sedative actually slowed her heart even more. So combining that with her heart medicine had to make her heart worker twice as hard. Why didn't these vets know about this? After this, I swore to find another place. But before I did, I thought I'd get one more thing from them. It was a simple medicine, how hard could that be? Boy, was I mistaken. 3. I had ordered a simple medicine. But they messed up the dosage. What's remarkable is that the paper that came with it had the correct dosage, but they didn't even look at the paper, or look at my dog's record to see what her correct dosage is. I don't recommend this place at all. They seem to view their patients as an inconvenience and not really helpful. Go elsewhere. read more
