The good people here filled the prescription quickly and I was able to pick up immediately. This pet pharmacy compounds their own medications and can make them in a variety of forms (liquid, pill) and add flavors to make administering much easier for pet owners. Sasha was recently diagnosed with TCC (transitional cell carcinoma) and must have a special prescription that had filled here. I am confident with the staff's knowledge and resources, that they will continue to provide excellent service for as long as I need to obtain my peanut's special medicine. When a vet calls/faxes in a prescription, a staff member will call first to verify and inform you of the price. I am unaware of what market prices are for the medications I have gotten filled, but I do know that Clavomax was MUCH cheaper here than through the vet office (like 1/3 or less the cost). The only issue I have encountered is the hours - they are only open 10a-5:30pm Monday through Thursday, and Friday until 4pm. With my work schedule, it can be difficult getting there before they close to pick up my pup's Rx. Of course, my baby comes 1st so I will do what it takes to get there!

Once you're in and doing the job it's not that bad. The only thing bad about the job itself is the clients being incredibly rude and you literally get screamed at either on the phone or in person. Now, let's get to the staff. Some are nice, some are two faced. One of the customer service reps walks around like she's a manager when she in no way shape or form has the title. But, speaking of managers. Lets talk about the head pharmacist who doesn't like to deal with client complaints, and talks down to you because you did all you could before trying to get her involved, and when you got her involved in said client/customer complaint she doesn't want to deal with it. Oh, and don't expect her to be at her desk located in the compounding area, she likes to hide away in her office and barely help the other pharmacists. Her attitude is very rude and passive as well. It seems like most of the staff come and go as they please, show up whenever they want and blame it on their children. But when YOU bring up personal life issues happening outside of work that you either have called in for or need to leave early for its okay at the time, but when in reality it's not. The company is backwards and quickly going down hill now that optio took over. Anyone who reads this review can clearly tell I'm a former employee who was done wrong and dirty. My advice, don't get your compound medication for your pet at this pharmacy. Go through Chewy or another source. They are over priced and honestly don't care about your pets health. ‍

Some employees came across as negative or uninterested, which made the experience uncomfortable. I think the store really needs to work on communication and customer service. Customers should feel acknowledged and respected when they walk in. The one positive experience I consistently had was with Mary -- she was kind, attentive, and actually listened when I had questions or concerns. I hope the business takes customer feedback seriously and improves the way they interact with people moving forward.

They offer very helpful advice regarding food, supplements, treats, etc, and competitive pricing for a store that is not a big box store (like PetSmart). My favorite shopping experience was when they were holding an adoption event for crazy adorable rescue puppies and they were being microchipped - it was something I have never seen in person; even though the pups yelped, they immediately got treats and lots of attention from those in the store (this was pre-covid). We bought a $60 mature koi here to bring home to our large outdoor pond. I asked staff multiple…read moretimes if we needed to quarantine the new fish, as well as anything we should be worried about introducing the new fish to our established, healthy group. I was told koi are very hardy, no issues. Unfortunately, about 5 days later, the new koi wasn't doing well and passed away. When we brought it back, at their direction, they said it was a bacterial infection the fish had WHEN WE BOUGHT IT and that it could spread to our other 15+ fish. About 48 hours later, our beloved 10 year old koi Captain started looking ill. We treated him with medicine from this store, another $25, but nothing improved. Captain passed a few days later. We are devastated. While they did reimburse us for the cost of the new koi, they took no ownership over infecting our pond and putting our fish at risk, nor did they tell us this was a possibility when we bought a new fish. We will never visit this store again.
