This is a true statement and if anyone needs proof ask I have pictures and videos. Because had my brand new Chevrolet Malibu for a leak in my car and the car was soaked with mold growth. They ran water on my car for 2 weeks trying to find leak. When they found it they said they fixed it but they didn't. They never gave me a loaner car and said they checked for mold but when I got the car back I had it tested and yes it was horrible. If you want to see the test I have it. They lied about this and it can make you very sick. A couple days later my car was soaked again and continued to smell horrible. I took it back to them and the service manager looked inside my car and finally took it a bit more serious. It was left open with the hood up all day on Easter with the place closed for anyone to take what they wanted out in the parking lot. I have pictures with the date. They have had my car again for 18 days and never call to tell me what's happening. Just rode by and took pictures and the car has no seats, no carpet, motor is sideways with black tar on the parts and it's just sitting not being worked on in the parking lot. The big shot Tom won't even come out and talk to me about it he makes some service women that says she doesn't understand them.They also left my car open in rain with my address in car for anyone to get but Tom the owner said if they get it and come hurt my family they have cameras so they will be able to identify them. Please don't go there they are liars. Let me know if you want photos or video proof. Write on here and I'll text them to you. The car was in the shop 4 days due to wrong diagnosis and lack of parts on hand. I do appreciate that management stepped in to provide a car and to adjust the cost a little. Lack of parts and misdiagnosis are repeat problems. read more

Would give this dealership a "no star" rating if I could. Purchased a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD LTZ new in September 2014. Since that time, I've gone through 5 glow plugs, 6 recalls and now a failed diesel injection pump and have now been without my truck for 9 days with no end in sight. Bayside got the injector pump and told me that the repair was "in warranty," then blamed the failure on contaminated gas (I have also brought the Sheetz corporation into this mess) but that Chevrolet required them to remove, flush and purge all fuel system components and that I would have to pay $1900 for that. Seems to be that, if the injection pump was in warranty and Chevrolet required the procedure, that too, should have been in warranty. The vehicle has been a pile of junk and Maryland "lemon law" no longer applies (18K miles or 24 months). But the Maryland Attorney General's office is going to hear my complaint. By the way, I called the Chevrolet customer service people on 8 February and have heard nothing back since. Do yourself a favor and avoid Bayside Auto Group at all costs. read more

I contacted Bayside when I noticed that all of the appliques on my 2015 Suburban had become loose. When I went into Bayside for a unrelated recall, I thought I would have this issue checked out. I was originally told that the clips on the back of the appliques had separated from the appliques themselves and that they would need to be replaced at a cost of $800.00 because the suburban was out of warranty. When I did some checking, I found out that this is a defect and a common problem. I reached out to Bayside via social media and was contacted by Ms. Ellen in the service department. Ms Ellen contacted GM and was able to get the repair cost reduced to $200. I feel that this is something GM should cover at no cost to its customers but am VERY VERY HAPPY that Ms. Ellen was able to help out even thou it should be a GM issue. Bought a used Rav4 in June 2013 for my college daughter. I called and they held the car for me which I purchased on the spot. Friendly, professional, NICE salesman. Price was right. Had a problem with the tires less than 3 months later and the "made good" on fixing them. Outstanding service; probably the best dealership I've ever worked with. I have been searching for a pre-owned Chevy Cruze (2012-2014), and had already spoken with and test driven several from different dealerships across the VA/MD/DC area. Bayside offered a great/competitive price on a 2014 Cruze and I set up an appointment to test drive the vehicle. Upon arrival, the staff were very accommodating; I worked with Sean and he was great. The staff were all very friendly/not pushy (which I have sometimes experienced from other dealers in the past), and very attentive - they answered all my questions and didn't try to upsell me on other vehicles (as has happened with other dealers in the past). I test drove the 2014 Cruze and agreed to purchase it at the time. I used the USAA car buyers program, so the price was already pre-negotiated, which was helpful. In addition to the friendliness/professionalism of the Bayside staff, what really drew me into Bayside were the extra perks. They offer a free Bayside auto program, whereby they provide free oil changes and tire rotations (any many other free services) for up to 3-years, simply as a reward for buying a car there - this is part of their retention program. I've never seen that type of "free" service offered by a dealership before. Given, they offer an upgradable version of this service for cost (around ~$500); I elected to go with the free service (3 years of free oil changes and other benny's is still pretty great). Overall, purchasing my car from Bayside was a terrific experience, and I would highly recommend them. Again, this is the best dealership I've ever worked with, a real pleasure. read more

We have been looking for a car to buy for my son. We found the perfect car - an Acura, which was great on insurance, had excellent safety features, and it even was the exact color he wanted. Therefore, I called Harry on Thursday morning to find out if the car was still available. He told me the car still had to go through the shop and he would put a rush on it to be done by Saturday. He said he would call us Friday night to make sure everything was good since we had to drive three hours. He called me Friday about noon and said the car had been sold. I then called the manager, Jim, and he said he wasn't aware of the total details of my conversation with Harry and he was the one who sold the car. I question his honesty. My son was very disappointed as well as myself. Beware of the slimy business practices of this dealership. read more

Beside this horrible game they pay we had the WORST customer service. She was not willing to work with us and be able to explain why the prices were extremely different from the Internet the dealership. Sad Service. My Prius did not start. I had it towed to Bayside for assessment. Just to run diagnostics $130.00. Yikes. I was charged $214 dollars for a battery. Not a lithium battery but a regular battery. Then the shenanigans started. When I went to pick up my car, it was not ready. This reality was not consistent with the information which I received on the phone. Only after I mentioned that not having my car was a problem was a loner car offered. They had taken the opportunity to do some recall work on my car without informing me. Day two, at 3 o'clock, I got a call from the service department....they were waiting on a part and in the next half hour, or so, and then they could determine if my car would be ready. REALLY? I informed the service department that I would return the loaner DAY 3 just to make sure the car was finished. Day 3... The invoice "suggested" some items which might be addressed. During my first phone call, it was indicated that my front brake pads ought be replaced. This was not listed on the suggestions on the invoice. It was suggested that my cabin air filter be replaced. I replaced it the day before it was towed to the dealership. And as if to let me know they looked at the cabin air filter, the contents of my glove compartment were strewn about the passenger seat and floor. Too many inconsistencies to find the dealership credible or consistent. I will gladly go to another dealership in the future. read more

Do NOT have them install a roof rack! They installed one in my FJ cruiser as part of my purchase since it didn't already have one. First big rain after buying it, and it completely flooded the inside of my vehicle. Took it back to them to repair and it was still not fixed properly the second go around. I'm now dealing with mildew and mold that is taking over my headliner, and being that is now out of their warrenty, they are holding no responsibility for the damage. read more

This really kinds of pains me to write this because I live in Calvert County and we are somewhat forced to leave the county to buy anything. So, this weekend, my son got his first loan approved to buy a new 'used' car. I convinced him to look locally first thinking it may benefit him in the future. We went by Bayside and were immediately jumped on prior to entering the building. The saleswoman got to my son before I could catch up and quickly discovered we were not buying a new car. We immediately became second class citizens! She went directly to her sales manager who gave her a list of cars that I'm sure he wanted out of their inventory. However, we selected one to see that was on the PenFed website. This tricked them up and when they FINALLY brought the car up for our review, it was disgusting!!!! It was a joke. The car had looked like a family of 15 own it and just dropped it off. My son's car is not good in most cases, but compared to the car they brought up, even his standards were exceeded!!!! I buy a new car every 3 to 4 years and will NEVER consider Bayside!!!!! read more

This car dealership is an absolute joke! They advertised a vehicle for 40k. I show up to buy it, they completely give me a run around on my trade in which is in excellent shape. And keep pressing me to put more money down. Once the proposal comes over (I guess they think people can't do math) at the end of my loan I would have paid over 65k for the vehicle which can I add is already a year old and depreciated in value. They completely tried to take advantage of me and I would never recommend them to anyone buying a car. Do yourself a favor do as much research as you can and don't trust these people. What a joke! Furthermore had service work done here they kept my vehicle for 4 days doing recall work. I kept calling to see if I could get a loaner or see if mine was ready, again more run around and "we have to call you back". When I finally get my vehicle back the tint is damaged and it is filthy, which I might add they told me twice it would be detailed. Unbelievable. Don't do it to yourself. read more

I purchased several vehicles from this dealer and also referred two others who also wasted their money here. When I came to this dealer to trade my truck in on a car I had some negative equity to be rolled over. Of course on the phone my trusty salesman JOE LYON tells me no big deal I'll get it done. We'll after test driving a car and being sent home for a "call later on" I heard nothing for days. When I called back I got another story of how they were trying to get the best rate still. I received no call backs from joe and was pretty disappointed to see that they can sell you a 40k dollar truck but not work a deal with some negative equity when Ourisman Chevy in Bowie did it for me several days later. As someone else said the dodge jeep dealer down the road is great. I switched to ram trucks since my experience. As someone else also said they're detailing is terrible you'll most likely get the "oh we cant clean it today but here's a card bring it back and have it done." "If buying a truck from joe he will also tell you his brother works for line x and will give you a "deal", that's a negative also as he will charge normal price to you as well as anyone. Also one of my referrals has a warranty that was several thousand dollars added to their sale which was never agreed to. Just a shady dealer in my eyes. read more
