DO NOT BRING YOUR car HERE!!! SCAMMERS!!!!Brought my car in for the maintenance. Was told that I need to replace the brakes... ok, it's possible. But then they gave me this piece of paper quoting a whopping $1500 for the service. Let's look at it. First of all, it says that they would not even replace the rotors they would turn them... are we in a 80s where you need to turn them instead of replacing?? And why do you want to change the fluid ??? Also... how do you know that I need the last service if my car was here only for tire rotation?? I know what happened. They saw a woman and decided to take an advantage. I took my car to 2 different mechanics and was told that I DONT NEED ANY SERVICE!!!!! My breaks are in PERFECT condition. You are SCAMMERS. On a top of your 3% charge on credit cards. What a joke!!!!

Thank you Ottis and Dan for providing a great experience and excellent service at Bayside Toyota. We are excited to be the first purchasers of the Toyota BZ4X AWD LTD at Bayside. This is our first all-electric. It is stylish and fun to drive. Happy travels to all! Greg & Frank

The cashiers check I was about to send

've had a car reserved with them since July 2022. When I initially spoke with Jarrett, a car salesman at Bayside Toyota, he told me that we would negotiate a price on the car once we got closer to the date for when the car would be finished being built, September 25th. From July-September, I called regularly for updates and provided updates on my end. Since I was buying a new car, I had to find a buyer for my current car, which I did. I had another dealership who wanted to buy my old car. We signed a contract and they sent the check to pay the lien on my old car. The timeline for the sale of my old car was based on the purchase of my new Toyota. Initially I had planned to fly from Florida to Maryland to pick up the new car from my home state. I'm military and a single mom to two toddlers so in addition to my car sale, I had to schedule leave and have family take off to help me. Unfortunately this part of the plan fell through as recovery for a surgery I had on my stomach was not as expeditious as I'd thought it would be. I had to switch over to a shipping company that would pick the new car up and bring it to me here in Florida. After calling several companies, I finally settled on one. I booked with the shipping company one week before the car would be at Bayside Toyota. I then went to my bank to pick up the cashiers check for $50,000 so I could then overnight the check to the dealership. Keep in mind that I'm still sore from surgery so driving 40 minutes to the only branch available in my area and then having to drive 40 minutes back put me in more pain than I'd like to admit. To me, it was worth it because the car I was buying from Bayside Toyota is my dream car. I was excited. Immediately after leaving the bank, I called Jarrett to let him know I had the $50,000 cashiers check and needed the address to send it to (I was on my way to the post office to send it). Jarrett tells me that the "out the door" price for the car was a little over $54,000. He then said he would get with his manager to have the price lowered at I'd been waiting faithfully for this car. He called back and said his manager, Jeff, could only bring the price down to $53,000. I reiterated that the check I had was only for $50,000. Jarrett kept pressuring me to change my financing over to Toyotas financing from my personal banks. He said they'd only be willing to lower the price and accommodate me if I switch over. I told him I wanted to stick with my bank. He then said he was waiting for Mike Wang to come in as they had planned a meeting to discuss this issue. Several hours later, I received a text from Jarrett saying they couldn't lower the price any more. I then called to speak to Mike Wang. Jeff would not allow me to get through to him and kept repeating that he would speak to Jarrett and call me back. I never received a call back. I then called the office back. I was in tears and had been crying since I found out hours ago. Jeff seemed to have zero empathy or care for anything that had happened. I left off the phone feeling worse than I had before I called. They say you should never expect anyone to care about yourself more than you... this situation solidifies that. These people care more about $3000 than they do about a loyal customer. They don't care about how they affect peoples lives. The current market we are in has brought a lot of light to which companies value money over their own customers. I had my dream car reserved for a few months. Now I'm having to lose my dream car and my current car all because they couldn't meet me on the price. I really wish Jarrett hadn't told me initially that he would work with me to bring it down to where it needed to be... I would have gone with one of the many other dealerships that had called me for the same car, trim, etc. I'm now under a lot of stress because I have to figure out transportation for not only myself, but for two kids that are still in car seats. Unfortunately, Uber/Lyft aren't an option because the drivers are not allowed on base

Just bought a used Toyota Highlander. Very happy with the customer service. My salesman Christopher Guy went above and beyond making sure I left a happy customer. Wish I purchased my other vehicles from therez

I have bought 5 cars from this dealership since 2004, 4 of which were since 2008, and 3 of those since 2013. I like new things so when I went into the dealership in 2015 looking to trade in my 2014 Camry I bought from them, for a New Tundra, I expected to get a good deal and be taken care of. I was. The experience was great and everything went smoothly. I cannot remember the sales managers name at the time but he has since left. 2017: I was looking to upgrade my 2017 Tundra to a new 2017 with more features. . When all was said and done the price they gave we was a joke. There was hardly any discount at all. I went to Waldorf Toyota the next day and saved over $4,000 and with more options?? I wound up getting the 1794 addition with additional options at Waldorf for cheaper than the premium from Bayside which had less option and lower window sticker. I did not feel taken care of at all from a dealership I have spent years with. The sales pressure was strong and I don't like that. I expect to get the lowest price each time and I WILL shop around. I give one shot. If another dealership beats your price, I will not give you a second chance to match or beat it. Just give me your best deal and if it is a good one after I shop around I will be back, even if you are a couple hundred higher, I know you gave me a good price. Well Bayside wasn't even close. Mike Wang was the one giving me the price. 2018: I was looking at getting a new 4runner, again gave bayside a shot. this time they were even further off the mark. AGAIN Waldorf got my business. Mike Wang again was the one giving the price. If you learn nothing else from this, at least shop around before Bayside convinces you that their price is the best and that you won't find a better deal. My last 2 purchases are strong proof that there is no loyalty and they will try to get every last penny from you. I am sure I will be looking to replace my wife's corolla shortly for a Rav4 or a 4runner, and we will see if they have adjusted their attitude of how to handle customers and not be the stereo typical car salesman.

I brought my truck to Dad's Garage in Owings for three relatively straightforward items:…read more * TPMS sensor programming * Tire balancing * Diagnosing an emergency brake-related clunking noise under load I had an 8:00 AM appointment scheduled well in advance, yet after TWO full days, the truck sat untouched until around 2:00 PM on the second day. This was a job that realistically should have taken a couple of hours. The TPMS issue was never resolved. Initially, I was told the sensors had been programmed correctly and that the warning lights were caused by incorrect tire pressure -- one of the most ignorant explanations I've ever heard from a mechanic. The reality was simple: the inner rear TPMS sensors were never programmed at all, which was the entire reason the truck was brought in. They eventually admitted that after the fact. Next was the wheel balancing. My truck has custom powder-coated wheels. Instead of using stick-on weights like the factory setup already had, they installed hammer-on steel weights on the OUTER edge of the rims, damaging the powder coating in the process. Any competent shop should have immediately recognized the proper balancing method after removing the existing stick-on weights. As for the emergency brake concern, they never properly diagnosed it. I specifically brought the truck in for a loud noise under load -- not the normal sound of the electronic parking brake actuator engaging. They dismissed the issue without ever meaningfully reproducing or testing the concern. To top it all off, they broke a wheel stud using an impact gun on the lug nuts rather than properly torquing them as a qualified mechanic should. Because of the excessive use of the impact gun, I now have concerns about stretching or cracking of the remaining wheel studs and will likely be replacing all of them as a precautionary safety measure. Between the damaged powder coating on the wheels and the wheel stud issue, I am now facing well over $1,000 in damages to either have the wheels professionally re-powder coated or replaced, along with replacing the studs they improperly handled. What made the experience even worse was my conversation with Mike, the owner. From the beginning of the call, he was defensive and adamant that everything had been performed correctly -- until several of those claims were proven untrue. Once confronted with the facts, the conversation quickly became unprofessional, including yelling on the phone rather than attempting to resolve the situation appropriately. Two days wasted, damage to my wheels, unresolved issues, poor communication, and additional damage caused while the vehicle was in their possession. This experience was frustrating from start to finish. Steer clear of Dad's Garage unless you want your vehicle returned with more issues than it had when you dropped it off.

On 11 January 2020 I had the car in Maryland and the Check Engine light came on. I called MO and they stated to take the car to a Chevrolet Dealership in Maryland. On 17 January 2020, I took my car to Bayside Chevrolet and I provided them a full update on the status of my transmission; They had the vehicle until 22 January 2020. On 22 January 2020, they documented on my service ticket, "R+R Sensor to find covered in clutch material indicating faulty internals require replace transmission"; approximately $6045. They stated they only deal with OEM parts and would not work with the used parts provider to install the used transmission. They informed me I have 2 options: Option 1 was to pay them $6045 to replace my transmission with a new one or pay $143.25 for diagnosing the vehicle and go elsewhere. On 22 January 2020, I Paid $143.25 for the diagnosis and I took my Traverse to ProLink Automotive located in Prince Frederick, MD. On 31 January 2020, I picked up my Traverse from ProLink Automotive. ProLink owner Mark stated he "flushed" the transmission and it was running great. He stated that Bayside Chevrolet lied about diagnosing the "sensor" in the transmission. He stated the sensor is an internal (inside transmission) sensor and that it was evident that Bayside Chevrolet never accessed the internals of the transmission. On 1 February 2020, I met with the Service Manager at Bayside Chevrolet and I expressed my concern. She initially stated that there was no way that one of her mechanics falsified a service check. She called the mechanic to meet with her and I; during this conversation, the mechanic admitted to not accessing the internal transmission sensor and that he had no idea why he documented on the invoice "R+R Sensor to find covered in clutch material indicating faulty internals require replace transmission". The Service Manager was embarrassed and refunded me $143.25; she stated she would be in contact with me the following week. To this day, I've never heard back from her... On a positive note, my transmission (which was fixed by ProLink) is still running Great! This is an unfortunate incident of yet another dishonest Service Mechanic / Business. From a customer perspective, I was without this vehicle for 6 days and Bayside Chevrolet never even diagnosed it. They simply took my $143.25 and told me to take it elsewhere or pay $6045 for a new transmission. Thank God for ProLink Automotive; they saved me thousands! He had an opportunity to charge me $1600 (labor) to replace the transmission, however he did the right thing and properly diagnosed the vehicle and charged me to simply flush the transmission. I will never go to another mechanic while in Maryland! Thanks Prolink!
