Unfortunately, my experience with Bayside Escrow was extremely disappointing. Veronica was very rude and unprofessional throughout the entire process. Communication was poor, and her attitude made an already stressful transaction even more difficult for my client. I genuinely feel bad for what my client had to go through. Escrow should not be the reason that the closing is delayed by sending incorrect Payoff demands after waiting 5 days for her to just request it. I experienced bad communication on important issues in the transaction. She could never answer my questions. She always acted too busy as if my questions were not important. The reply to my emails were disrespectful and unprofessional at times. I had to request documentation that she is supposed to provide voluntarily. Awful service, communication and no attention to important details. I do not recommend this company at all!! She constantly has her out of the office at 3:30pm or 4pm when we would be waiting for something important from escrow.. read more

They are in NEGATIVE STAR territory. They are RUDE and INCOMPETENT. They held up a transaction for several days, ESCROW SHOULD NEVER DELAY A TRANSACTION. Given that things happen and this was during COVID you would expect a shred of decency. NOPE. No UPDATES, LIES and the dreaded, "I am just filling in and helping out on your file" response....and that was from THE MANAGER!. They are either putting out fires all day or they will fail an audit (wink, wink). At the end of my transaction they WIRED an extra $1000 to my 1031x company and it had to be sent back, they also tried to over charge me, IT WAS CAUGHT and they didn't even apologize. They delayed the vesting paperwork by 5 days, they delayed the MI certification, they delayed our final funding an addition 3 days because the parcel number didn't match when it went to the county and Liz's customer service is horrible. ! More importantly, the team here is just too slow, which is almost unbelievable given how competitive escrow and title service providers are (I could throw a rock and hit 3 providers in Orange County CA). I purchased a house and use Bayside escrow. This is my second real estate purchase so I was somewhat familiar with the process. I found Bayside to be very professional and quick and prompt. My escrow officer was Veronica and sometimes I would deal with her assistant Rania. They were both very helpful and explain everything . I won't go into all the bad things that happened with the whole escrow process that lasted 14 monthes. It wasn't all Veronica Rodriguez's fault but the final touch was the 60.00 charge for Guaranteed overnight shipping of the check. After 4 days they finally made an appointed 4 hour window to deliver it and never showed up. The delivery company GSO called at 6 am the next morning to tell us to go pick up the check in Santa Fe springs. After 45 minutes they told us it was in their Santa Ana office so we drove down there to get it. When we asked for our money back Veronica said it couldn't happen because she had sent things before. This is the worst escrow company I have ever dealt with. As a licensed Broker, I've sold thousands of homes in the past 17 years and this is the first time ever that I felt the need to post a review. I opened escrow with them then waited over 2 weeks for my escrow paperwork, as the lender needs his package to do the loan. I finally called their office to complaint and Liz, the escrow agent suddenly sent me the paperwork with mistakes. I emailed her back to correct the items, but again she did not bother to respond. Liz must know that escrow officer is an agent and she has duty to do her job in a timely manner instead of making excuses. I had to explain to them that receiving escrow package early on is important because ordering HOA Docs, loan approval, etc takes time. This escrow lady, Liz and Bayside escrow is incompetent and they lack basic customer service. They told me they were very busy. Next time DO NOT accept a new escrow, if you are THAT busy. This is by far the worse experience I have ever had with an escrow company so save yourself, buyers and sellers, use any other escrow company. read more

The seller selected Bayside Escrow to handle the private sale of my first home. As the buyer, I found my dealings with Veronica R at Bayside to be difficult and quite emotionally draining. Veronica was combative, curt, and made the home buying process less than pleasurable. When asked questions, Veronica was short and not willing to offer explanations to assist me with a first home purchase done without a real estate agent.
