Right now, I don't recommend Lucy Borruel because of her inexperience as a selling realtor, but hopefully down the road it will be a different story for her. When I hired her, I wasn't aware it was her first home as a seller. Although, many times I did ask her how many homes she had sold and she would answer many. She was unable to explain the details of the contract well or how the different statues like 'coming soon' worked. She has a one track mindset on how she thinks a house should sell. For months, I asked her many times to bring potential buyers over to look at the house while we were packing up and even when we were fixing the house up as well, but she didn't want to move away from having us completely moved out of the house so it was completely empty for a open house. She wanted the garages completely empty too. She felt that was the only way to get offers, and she wanted that bidding war because like many others have said in their reviews in regards to the type of agents that work for First Team, they aren't working for you, they only care about their commissions. There's many other things she shouldn't have done as a realtor. Number One, she snooped a lot through my things while she was supposed to be helping us pack. She opened things that were sealed and ruined the value of the items. She fell in love with many items and took pictures of them and looked them up online to see what they were worth and constantly begged to have them. That kind of behavior is so unprofessional. Number Two, she doesn't know how to pack well. She crammed things into boxes causing stuff to poke out of the side of the boxes and therefore broke stuff. Many boxes I had to repack. Lucy doesn't know how to stack boxes either. She put heavy boxes on top of light ones and tons of them fell over causing more stuff to be broken. Number Three, she threw away many items that I didn't want to be thrown. Number Four, she doesn't know how to paint well. She put too much paint on the bedroom doors, and we were unable to close them later on. My daughter had to spend quite a few hours sanding them so they'd close again. Number Five, since we had problems with a previous contractor, she pushed for me to hire her husband to do odd jobs. He happened to be a contractor as well, not a very good one either, and it turned out to be very problematic and a huge major conflict of interest. You can read my daughter's review about it. Number Six, when she finally listed the house for sale on MLS Aug 25, 2024, which she did not get my permission to do, she got so many of the house details wrong, I could have been sued for false advertising. This branch, First Team Real Estate Tustin Office, now has a new manager. It's no longer Elizabeth Steven Meyers, since sometime between July 30, 2024 and August 23, 2024. I'd say my previous review about FORGERY eventually had something to do with it. But even under the new management, my mom's house is still being kept hostage in exchange for me to remove my negative reviews. Instead of taking my mom's house off MLS like First Team Corporate in Newport Beach agreed to, my mom's house ended up being listed for sale, which is illegal since they technically had an invalid contract with her. The realtor Lucy Borruel did not get her permission either to list it for sale on Aug 25, 2024. Lucy Borruel got so many of the details on the house wrong, my mother could have been sued for false advertising. Also, the house should have not been put on the MLS to begin with, without a valid contract! And since Elizabeth Meyers no longer works for their company, that proves their guilt with the contract being invalid. This has been such a huge nightmare for both my 78 year old elderly widowed mom and I to deal with for months. My father had died only a few months before my mom tried selling her house so she could spend her few remaining years she has left with me in the mountains, but First Team had to make it impossible for her because they only cared about money rather than helping others. I don't see how this kind of work ethic builds a good reputation. read more

BIG ZERO for Jamie Andrews, Realtor at First Team Real Estate. She is very Manipulative and terrible !! She was our realtor when we bought our house and she actually work in favor of seller as she cared only about the her commission. She has a network of different team/people who works along with her which includes Lender, home Inspection Inspector, termite Inspection inspector. In my case the home Inspection inspector and the Termite inspector didn't do proper inspection and I found lot of issues with the house after moving into the house. I am very sure they have been manipulated by Jamie to do the shitty Job and not to reveal all the bad things about the house. She is very deceitful and manipulative, she took advantage of the current competitive market situation and forced us to go with her lender, her inspection Inspector and the termite inspector as she told she can close the escrow in 14 days with her group of people which didn't happen. Her lender is Cross Country Mortgage and they also gave me a very high interest mortgage rate and took advantage of my situation. Once we moved in , she didn't even care to call or check how the things are. After move-in, I did the inspection again and found lot of things were not mentioned and revealed by those inspectors. All my first dream house thing crushed by that greedy realtor. I am filing the complaint against those inspectors to their related boards and will file a complaint against Jamie soon. PLEASE BE CAREFUL of JAMIE ANDREWS and FIRST TEAM REAL ESTATE!! They only care about their COMMISION. read more

Kelly boulgar is awful :/ he gave a hour or so lecture and showed us no houses. It was a strange experience. He asked us what our must haves were over the phone days prior, we explained our main one was ground entryway to front door since my wife is disabled. When we got there, He kept making weird comments in a rude tone on each listing like oh this place is perfect but oh wait no you can't do stairs . Each time he said something in a smug voice, when he finally pulled a few houses on his computer. he never had any to show us and did no pre work before our meeting. There were many other annoying things but i dont feel like writing all of them!! We are pre approved, have a hefty Down payment, and were ready to buy- what a waste of time !!! read more

Larry Sangiorgio just helped us purchase our first house. He has gone and continues to go above and beyond to help us out. When first searching for houses, Larry took us to many different places, quickly figured out what we were looking for, and then tailored our search to properties that matched our preferences. Larry was always honest with us, and he was truly motivated to help us find the perfect home for us. His experience helped us to find the right house, get a good price, and close quickly. He is always available by phone or email whenever we need. I think I probably called him literally 100 times throughout the process, and every single time, he either answered the phone or called me back in less than 5 minutes. It's now 3 weeks after we closed, and Larry is still helping us out by finding contractors and by answering any questions we have or giving us any advice we need. I don't think buying the right home could have been any easier, and it's because of Larry. I honestly think I could not have found a better realtor in all of California. One day out of the blue and unexpectedly Donna Gordon walked into my office (which by the way is an indication of her "go get'em" work ethics) , introduced herself and made it very clear, under no uncertain terms that if I ever needed a real estate agent she would be the one. Well, the time came when my wife and I were in the market for a house. I found her card, gave her a call and the rest is history. Anyone who has experienced the frustration of home buying a house can understand the pain of working with people who aren't honest, don't listen to your needs and have no integrity. Donna Gordon (I hope she forgives me for this) reminds me of a Pit Bull in a fight. She was relentless, unyielding and hell bent on finding us a home. NOT because she was going to make a big commission, believe me, the house we wanted is a fixer-upper and way below the price she's used to getting. This was our first time working with a realtor to buy a property, and I can't imagine it would have been better with anyone else: Donna Gordon was enthusiastic, detailed, fun, knowledgeable, resourceful, and thorough. She knew the areas we were looking in really well. When we added a neighborhood or two to our search that she wasn't as familiar with, she was honest with us about it, and then ended up researching those areas until she could tell us anything we needed to know about them. When we found our house and went through the offer and inspection processes, that's when I found Donna Gordon to be of most value -- this part's not fun at all, and frankly a bit of a letdown after the excitement of house-hunting. But even though our enthusiasm waned a bit, hers didn't at all, and she found us all the right professionals to conduct everything from inspections & the lending process. She clearly laid out all the details of the offer/counter-offer process until we were happy. DeDe Barrett, Realtor at First Team in Tustin, CA ZERO STARS!!! She is terrible! DO NOT WORK WITH HER OR HER STAFF!!! We made an offer on a home in Orange, CA on 8-26-19. The offer was a full list offer with $12k back in closing costs. Not only did DeDe not review the offer with her client, she did NOT review the offer herself!!! When it came time to close, our realtor mentioned the $12k, and she asked what he was talking about. She told him she would call him back. She obviously reviewed the signed Residential Purchase Agreement (contract), called our agent back and said, "I totally missed that in the offer." We have now retained an attorney as tomorrow, 9-26-19, is the closing date. DeDe has belittled, laughed at and made fun of involved parties, including attorneys, directly to them. DeDe does not understand what closing costs are and looked at preliminary docs and offered us $4,500 - after the contract had been signed by her seller!!! DeDe then offered $7,500, then $8,500 then again offered $4,500. She & her branch manager, Elizabeth Meyers, have done everything in their power to get us to walk away from the deal. DeDe also believes she is an asbestos expert as she told us there was no harm in having a ceiling with asbestos as "most homes this age in Southern California contain asbestos." When the inspector was at the residence, she spoke over him, disagreed with him (he is a contractor as well), and said there was nothing to worry about even if the ceiling contained asbestos. The inspector adamantly advised us not to move into this home until a survey was done on the home and a sample of the ceiling material was sent to a lab for testing. It is unconscionable and unlawful for a realtor not to review an offer nor to review the offer, line by line, with their client. The attorney has made many attempts to speak with First Team's attorney, Tom Wagner, but Tom refuses to return all communications left for him. DeDe lacks integrity and in all my years of buying and selling homes, I have never, ever met anyone with the gutter character and mentality that she has. She is obnoxious, rude, condescending and clueless. When an offer includes a request for $12k in closing costs and that is listed on PAGE 2 - not buried somewhere where it might be (shouldn't be) hard to find, and a realtor doesn't see it - you are lazy, unprofessional and doing a major disservice to the client you have a legal obligation to protect. Mary Williams is the person to go to for computer training. During December she has spent countless hours at the First Team Tustin office working with me on Websites, Extensions, time saving Aps, and Social Media. She is an amazingly patient teacher. Mary takes the time to make sure the class is actually adding, updating and learning the process on their computers as she is teaching. Her classes aren't a lecture that you walk away from with to much information but rather a hands on learning situation. Mary takes the extra effort and always has a smile. If we run into a glitch she helps problem solve it. She is great! I am very thankful for Mary! I have learned a lot this month from her! We listed our home in Lemon Heights with First Team Real Estate's Beth Burger out of the Tustin Office. It was a struggle from day one. Simple things like using the good pictures as the focal point of the home rather than a picture of the the hills from our Lemon Heights balcony. I don't know about anyone else but when I see a picture of a home for sale and you can't see the house, I think "tear-down". Then having three open houses where it was staffed by just one person. Not very smart for a three story 5,800 sq' home. It caught up to her on the 3rd open house where she let "two young boys" into the home to "look for their parents". Guess what? They robbed us. Just not the right choice for our home. read more

Typically you see a few bad reviews but here on Yelp you'll see quite a few. I would highly recommend listing with a different firm as well as not putting any offers on homes that they are the listing agents. Look at Victor's review. If I could put no stars I would. The realtor was rude, crude, and deceitful. Either She was totally incompetent or just dense. She didn't know that the house had unpermitted electrical improvements, and tried to pass off crappy repair work as "safe" which required me to do a second walk-through. Then she flat out lied saying valves are supposed to leak as they run, when the valve next to the leaking one didn't. This agent perpetuated a pattern of deceit that is sickening and is a pitfall for unsuspecting homebuyers. Then this office used an Escrow Company that had all the wrong amounts on my Escrow Documents, didn't list my incentive credit from the bank promotion, and almost had me sign the loan docs in opposition of the Bank's direction. Honestly, go with Redfin. You can get more incentive money back, they are realtors that work for a third party so they can give financial incentive rebates back to their customers. read more

It took me like 5 months to find the perfect place. Larry was so patient and never pushy. We must have looked at like 60 houses together. He helped me work with prices and helped me get a great deal. I purchased a home represented by Albert Soto and Ricardo Franco. Not all items in the repair order were completed before the keys were turned over to me. I left messages and emailed both agents...I even reached out to their manager Mike. I barely got responses and when I did, I was told they were working on it and if I didn't like it and couldn't wait (2 months had already passed), I could take it to small claims court. I had to reach out to the seller personally to get it resolved on my own. Once they got paid, it wasn't their problem anymore...not a good business practice in my opinion. I would never refer anyone to sell OR buy from them. Very disappointed in the lack of integrity and willingness to help in regards to their own client completing what all parties signed and agreed to do. read more

I had a horrendous experience with mike hampton and first team tustin when i purchased my first home. since then, i have purchased a few income properties, making sure that first team tustin was not the listing agent. they are the worst agents with the worst management in Southern California, in my opinion. However, fortunately for mike hampton, he has one agent who is incredible and I have so much for respect for this agent, that I chose his to represent me during a recent transaction, despite the fact that he works for First TeaM tustin. The agent's name is Randy Hix and he is fantastic. I wish he would change brokers because I absolutely hate having to pay first team tustin any portion of randy's commission. So the moral of this review is this; if you have no other choice and if you have to use first team tustin, go with Randy Hix. Randy is awesome but first team tustin sucks. read more

Kihae Otani is AMAZING. I highly recommend him! The lease for my apartment was ending soon and my room mates and I needed a place to move into ASAP by the end of the month. Kihae was very patient and worked hard to find us a nice 4 bedroom apartment with washer and dryer included for under $2800. That is difficult feat in itself. He took really good care of us and despite all the obstacles and bid wars that we faced he never gave up. He responded to our e-mails and calls quickly and even e-mailed us listings at 5am in the morning! I can't recommend the man enough! If I ever plan on buying a house or moving again, I will definitely call him up. read more

My wife and I were merely 'window shopping' for a home when we first met Deb, but when we found one we really liked, we ended up moving fast and Deb was exceptional at keeping us on track to meet all there requirements and deadlines. HOWEVER... it was the professionalism and outstanding presence of the agent that made me more interested in the home. From the second he greeted me and my family to showing us the home and finally stopping to speak with us, was such an amazing experience that I would hire him in a heartbeat. Unfortunately I have to rate this review for it to post. This means I must give it a 1 star when I would rather give it zero stars. We listed our home with First Team and had a horrible experience. Thank goodness we have a trustworthy and talented real estate agent with another firm that we have just enlisted to sell our house. The woman at First Team was extremely unprofessional. We asked that professional photos be taken of our home but instead she took her own low quality photos. I researched and found a photographer and paid him to take the photos. She was reluctant to have the house staged so we found a great staging person for her to use. She told us she would use the staging person but as we have just learned, she did not use this person but instead found a cheap resource to put cheap furniture in our 1 mil plus house. The house was not properly taken care of and it was not until I came back as we moved out of state that I learned how poorly our property was being treated. While she had been a long time agent of ours, she deceived us and actually lied to us. In today's market online marketing is key and she did not know how to leverage digital marketing and made no effort to find a resource. Her 'brochure' was a poorly photo copied flyer. I could go on and on but the bottom line is to be extremely careful and trust your gut. No matter how 'nice' the agent may be the real test is all about their skills and professionalism. read more

I recently had the opportunity to work with 2 such great agents from First Team. Ann Delligatta of First Team was wonderful to work with. She is an expert negotiator and problem solver. Most important she treats agents and her clients with the upmost respect, sincere care and integrity. I also worked with a very talented agent Katherine Marquette from First Team who helped me sell a home with her dual experience as a realist agent and an interior designer. The home had no offers for 4 months and after her consultation with the sellers and the changes that were made by Katherine the house sold and closed escrow in less than 6 weeks. Both Ann and Katherine were the catalyest that got the seller and buyers what they wanted . It was a win win situation for everyone. read more
