All of the staff are courteous and kind, but I want to give a special acknowledgment to Dr. Park. She really calmed my nerves, and had such pleasant chair side rapport, that I was able to relax during my dental work. She was great about checking how I was doing, as well as explaining all the steps as she was performing them, relieving any anxious worries I had. I truly appreciate her professionalism and the comfort provided during my visit. I don't plan to see any other dentist in the future! (Fingers crossed I will not need any more dental work)

It's usually the most dreaded experiences one can have aside from maybe a colonoscopy. So why the five start review? Well I have been going to this dentist now for about 5 years. Every single person I have encountered at this establishment is not only kind and courteous but they go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. They always try and make me feel comfortable and like I actually matter. It has almost become like going to see an old friend. Of course my friends don't stick their hands in my mouth and cause mild unpleasant pain. But close enough. If your looking for a new family dentist and live in the area give them a shot. I actually don't live anywhere close but drive about an hour because I not only trust them but don't absolutely hate going. I mean I'd rather not go to the dentist but hey if your going to go anyway better to find one where the people treat you the right way.

Dr Mackler has recently died. His associate, Dr. Scolar, who referred to me as "Lady" as posted in…read morea recent review, advocated that I have my only remaining lower molar, pulled. This is after she put a crown in a few months back, over a cavity. Dr. Mackler once commented to me that she moves very fast. She moves so fast that she advocated me going to a place she said she uses, to remove a tooth which was not loose and was not bothering me and maybe could be saved. I found a five star dentist who specializes in challenging crown situations and yesterday, he performed a successful surgery to remove the cavity and seal up the crown. He said when he got in there, that the cavity wasn't that bad and the situation wasn't all that dismal. Dr. Scolar had told me that if I didn't pull the tooth out that because of the cavity, I might die of an abcess. I feel that her emphasis on moving fast without empathy or connection to the patient is not at all helpful and I am now changing dentists to the dentist I found her expressed both understanding and compassion.

I went to Baystate Dental on Montgomery Street in Chicopee a couple weeks ago and they found an…read moreinfection and had to remove 4 of my bottom teeth. Dr. Sobti was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions in the first appointment and moved quickly to get approvals from my cardiologist and primary care physician prior to beginning just to be sure it would be okay. She did an amazing job with the numbing agents and with the extractions. I had previously horrific experiences with other teeth being removed at another dental place in Boston years earlier. I was very impressed with how kind all of the office staff were and the dental assistants. I would recommend this practice to anyone who needs dental care.

The tooth had to be extracted, and I was in pain over a week. I was advised to replace bridge I had would cost a certain amount, I felt the price was too high. So, while he was addressing one issue, I asked if the price could be lower. He went back and forth what would be needed. He kept bragging how he was the best dentist. Finally, when he realized I would not go for price he stated. He stated he could do nothing. At my last visit for teeth cleaning, a different person than the one I had been accustomed to did my cleaning. This woman did not explain things well, was extremely rough, and never gave me a breather. She started to floss my teeth, and I had to stop. When I went to the receptionist, I was very angry. I was not going to say anything. Then, this totally unprofessional woman goes to the receptionist and says she (meaning me) just got up and left. At that point, I got mad and stated why I was so angry. Woman then says that she was cleaning my teeth (that justified her extreme roughness) and at that point I lost it. She then says why didn't you say anything-I just looked at her (how can someone say something when something is in their mouth). The second charge was from another business name (not the Holyoke Mall Dental) but is owned by the same person Chan??. Also, someone in there might be a "killer" and "doctor Shisha" can be "killer's" executive because "killer" made a horrible "big hole" on one of my front tooth, executive damaged my crown while treatment.
