No cartoon signs, no silly characters or theme, no name, no ice cream, you can't even pay at the little hut, you have to go into the pro shop with the "serious" golfers. In the back of the parking lot, past the overgrown weeds and shoddy practice green we saw a small black chain link fence lined with weeds and bare patches. It was so unwelcoming we almost didn't play. Thankfully though, we did. Inside that fence waits one of the most beautiful and perfect mini golf courses I've ever seen. The landscaping was beautiful while having limited flowers, so bees weren't an issue, though I would advise bringing bug spray as the far side borders a heavily wooded area. The greens were bright, clean and lined beautifully. The holes were creative and unique. We first heard the water feature on the third hole, and didn't see it until later, which speaks to the layout, which was remarkable, and also featured a few spots where you looked back on holes you'd already played at a vantage point that seemed to have had real thought put into its placement. The only thing missing from this mini golf course was the cartoon feel, which seemed intentional, and worked such that I wouldn't say it was missing, but better off without in this case.

In Narragansett, RI--…read more Celebrating 40 years, Adventureland is a favorite of my grandchildren. The younger ones love the carousel. The older ones and adults like the Go Carts. There is miniature golf, water boats, arcade games and more. They sell Gifford Ice Cream in a cone or cup. The prices are high I think but probably necessary to maintain the park and pay the many staff members. Cost of a go cart ride is $12. Carousel is 6 tickets for $18. The staff is friendly!

What it lacks for being modern it more than makes up for with charm. The merry go round is in perfect working condition & it seems like you're going back in time when you're on it. In addition to an arcade, bumper cars & mini-golf there's about 4 other rides for small children. The newest addition still seems a bit antiquated. It's a dragon roller coaster that my 14 rode & she said she was scared she'd fall out. My 3 year old absolutely loves Monkey Mayhem which is a big barrell that spins around & around. There's a smaller roller coaster that goes forward a bit then backwards & he loves it too. The games in the arcade do seem to be up to date. I can't really comment too much since I'm not a gamer. But the selection seems ok & there are a few other coin-op games too. Nothing crazy but it's acceptable. We always have a great time when we go & my son asks to go all the time. Since we live almost walking distance from there we can go at the drop of a hat & haven't been there during peak time. When we do go we get personal service since there's hardly anyone there. I do love the charm of this place & there aren't any other rides on the beach so you're stuck with them whether you think it's a dump or think it's awesome. I'm somewhere in between. It's a very charming dump that's family friendly & I'd recommend it to everyone.

Don't be confused by the address it is on the backside of the building, just follow the arrows around and there was a good amount of parking there on a mid day afternoon. While the course and games may be a little dated, it is still a fun experience and way to spend a few hours out of the house. Arcade has ticket and non ticket game for prizes at the counter pre or post game if you choose to partake. Not overly scary for little ones, there are a few of the props that do move. I find that this mini-golf course contains an unnecessary number of real-world hazards that should…read morenot exist in any type of golf game. A little water here and there? Okay. A hole that is half underwater? Less okay. A few pieces of organic earth stuff hanging around on the green? Okay. An absurd amount of mulch, twigs, and other things that can definitely knock your ball off its hole-in-three trajectory? Less okay. Fake grass wear and tear? Okay. Fake grass more or less flapping in the wind, and wrinkled to the point where your ball needs to jump a hill to get out? Less okay. In any case - our group took all of these "natural" hazards in stride, and set off on one of the most competitive mini golf challenges of our lives. Most of the holes had a lot of unanticipated breaks and no putt (even the 3 inch ones) was easy - and hole in ones were very hard to come by. There was a lot of yelling, cheering, long shot putts made (and very short ones missed) that varied the leaderboard throughout the round. We had fun. Fun aside, there is definitely a few maintenance issues that should be addressed and some bug issues (flying around & crawling on the fake grass) that need attention. Go here for some deceivingly challenging mini golf and don't forget about the 8 stroke max - someone is bound to hit it at some point.

I brought my not exactly sports inclined 5 year old at opening, and we had a blast. THe owner is lovely, and we felt welcomed. Did we do good golfing? no. Did we enjoy ourselves? Absolutely! It has all the classic things you want from a mini golf course. Light house, mini town, wind mill, water wheel, multilevel, etc. For the price, it is exactly what you want, and they take cards, I can't recommend it enough for those who need to take their wiggly little ones outside. Bring a hat for your kid and bathe them in sunscreen because it is DIRECTLY in the sun without any shade, and make sure to bring plenty of water because my girl was wilting by the end, but we had a great time.

Way too many holes where the actual holes were misshapen or had odd lips on them. But the real ridiculous penny pinching was the drinks and ice cream. No sharing (+$3 for another spoon...come on), can't pour a drink into a cup unless it's outside (asking for cups to split a Gatorade between my kids and apparently wasn't trusted enough to pour liquid into two cups inside), no water fountain......I'll stop. No I won't. The laughable part was charging $8 for an iced coffee and getting the sheer amount of ice that was in the cup in the picture. There were 4 sips of actual beverage in this cup. The picture was taken after it was finished and the ice had a couple minutes to melt. Small businesses have been through it recently. I get it. That's no excuse. Be transparent. There were simply too many things wrong about this place operating in season, I felt the need to write this review. I sincerely hope they right the ship and make it a true destination. Everything leading up to going to the island and having fun with the kids was great. Fingers crossed.
