Worse service ever ! You go in for one issue. And another issue pops up a couple days later.

I brought my jeep in due to a constant misfire, at drop off the advisor Relene was extremely cut off and dismissive when explaining what issues i was having with my vehicle. 2 days later i had to call for a status at which point i was simply told vehicle had a oil leak and a crack estimated repairs of 10k. there was no explanation/ photos or break down on quote i had to call and ask for that. I asked if gaskets could not be replaced as oppose to all new valve covers to which i was directed to manager and was requoted nearly 6k for that repair alone. after very little effort and investigation i found Mopar quoted the exact repair at 5hr of labor while the dealer was quoting 10hrs at $326 an hour. i spoke with another manager who could not even confirm that the repair would actually fix my problem due to a VISUAL ONLY DIAGNOSTIC, $400 for someone to look at the vehicle and guess the issue. absolutely ridiculous, i did no work here and took it to a shop that repaired my vehicle for under $600 parts & labor. This dealership is a joke, they try to take advantage of people with little to no mechanical knowledge and the prices are ridiculous. read more

I have not shopped here in several years, but I have called recently. Over 2 months ago I asked them to take down their torn American flag, but they continued to fly it. Flying an American Flag is typically a symbol of American pride. But I would rather they did not fly a flag at all than to see a torn flag flown because they are too cheap to replace it. Took my 2019 Jeep Wrangler in while still in warranty for overheating and low coolant issues. They returned saying there were no issues found. 5 months later I took it back for the same issue, 3 months out of warranty. How convenient for them. They told me the engine needed to be replaced with 62k miles because it was burned up. After a long delay of waiting on parts for getting the engine replaced and paying $$$ out of pocket, the sloppiness really began. My Wrangler has been back at least half a dozen times for various issues, caused by their incompetent shop team. We will be back yet again for more issues until they get it right. Thank goodness the new engine came with a 3 year warranty. The shop crew does shoddy work and they just don't seem to care and are not held accountable. Icing on the cake was the giant new scratch in the paint on the hood during the last visit. They didnt even report they had done it. Turned on the windshield wiper while the hood was propped on the windshield. Feels a little bit like they are doing it on purpose at this point. They will put a bandaid on it and sweep your problems under the rug. I would never tell anyone we knew to go here for any services. Extremely frustrated and disappointed. read more

In fact, if he didn't help assist this deal , along with his manager, it wouldn't have happened because I was ready to walk out. I originally came in to look at a 2020 Honda Accord. It wasn't the car for me, but Andy had a couple of other cars that he thought I may like based upon my feedback. The next car he showed me I loved, however, I thought it would cost too much. Andy knew my budget and the monthly payment I wanted, so he went back to his managers and got the deal done. I felt he was %100 for me and getting me the best deal. He was kind, respectful and easy to talk to. I never felt pressured. I would definitely go back to deal with him. When we finally chose a day to remove the tops, we notice very large deep scratches on one of the top panel. Clearly something we would not be able to see or even inspect at time of purchase (no side steps on the vehicle at the time on the showroom floor). We KNOW it had to have been present at the time of purchase, but we never noticed it until this day we took the tops off. You'd think after just having purchased a nearly $80K vehicle a dealer would try to do right by the customer and fix the scratch, but absolutely not the case with this dealership. I have not had much experience dealing with dealerships, but I was very disappointed with my experience at Bayway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. Particularly in the used sale department, but there were overall issues with the place itself. First of all no one working there was wearing a mask properly or at all! As a healthcare worker I found this extremely disappointing. Second, I inquired about the van I was looking for on Facebook. It was being offered for a certain price and the salesman notified us that there were a lot of inquiries coming in on the van. Since these vans tend to sell quick and I had the day off the next day, my partner and I decided to drive 3 hours to Houston from Austin, TX. The salesman had promised to meet us at 8:30 am before they opened so we could take a look at the van and have first dibs. We were under the assumption from the salesman that the van would be ready for us to see in the morning. The next day, we arrived at 8:30 am and we were roped into signing a bunch of paperwork that didn't mean anything until we actually decided to purchase. One paper, did indicate that we were the only people that could purchase this van at this time. We were then told it would be 30 minutes until the van was ready because they needed to finish and clean it. We were then told it was actually going to be 2-3 hours. In the meantime, our salesman said they were detailing the car for us to see all cleaned up. Finally, they came to talk to us and said after their final inspection the check engine light turned on and the car needed a repair which would cost $4,000. They said they would split the cost with us if we agreed to purchase. The manager, James, then insisted on showing us the vehicle which was filthy, and clearly had not been detailed. Furthermore, a quick google search showed that he was clearly overcharging us for the services. The manager told us that if we didn't buy the van he was going to send it back to the auction because he won't even make a profit on it by selling it to us. Meanwhile, a quick search on the bayway website showed that he had listed it at a higher price already. The manager also told us that he would cover our gas for the trip from Austin for the inconvenience. We decided to not purchase the van due to the issues, the unprofessionalism and the dishonesty. When asked if they could give us some cash for gas, they said that they don't do cash, they just fill up our tank. We already had a full tank of gas when we arrived. So that wasn't really helpful. It then took another 30 minutes to get my deposit back. Next time I see a bayway vehicle, I'm running in the other direction. read more

Looked at the car I wanted to test drive only to find out they slapped a sticker price to it at 20k more than what they originally quoted me via text. What fresh hell is this? These are the biggest jerks and swindlers I've yet to come across. In 2013, a new spare key (so I could have a backup in case I ever lock it in the vehicle accidentally), cost $15. Now on Dec. 27 2019, they're charging $289 plus tax! And when their shitty keys quit working, guess what? Same ludicrous price: $300! I heard the customer behind me asking for a new key since his stopped remote-opening doors reliably. The chubby, blond, complacent clerk barked at him, "Did you change the battery?!" Customer said, No. Clerk snapped, "Well we can fix it, but it'll cost you $300." The desk clerks are unbelievably cranky and dismissive, as if they really don't want your business. The last time I needed repairs on my Jeep and tried to bring it here, this same monster told me, "There's a two-day backup of cars waiting to be seen before you." Case in point: They have a Charger R/T listed at $28,035. That's their "Bayway Price". The price of the car on the offer sheet went up $2,000 immediately for "accessories". Maybe it's just me, but if there are accessories on the car I would consider that part of the actual price of the car and would think the advertised price would reflect that. There were other things added to the price beyond trade value and TT&L. I didn't stick around to have any of that price gouging explained to me. They just want you on the lot so they can keep you from going to competitors who might actually be up front and honest about the price. So don't be fooled by their internet prices. And take an attorney with you if you actually decide to shop there. read more

I brought my Ram truck to Bayway for the first time for service. The issue was covered under warranty and should have been a simple repair. I was promised a diagnostic would be run in 24-48 hours. The diagnostic was complete over 72 hours after I dropped off the vehicle on a Monday. Due either to incompetence of the technician and/or inadequate information from the manufacturer, the technician could not get the warning message to reset following the repair. My truck was at Bayway for 30 days. I incurred over $1,500 in auto rentals, and Bayway used up nearly an entire tank of fuel putting over 300 miles on the odometer with test drives to reset the computer. Despite it being a warranty repair, neither Bayway nor Ram were willing to do anything to assist with my expenses due to their inability to complete a repair in a timely manner. I will not be returning to Bayway and would not recommend them to anyone else. read more

Copied from my Google Review: My experience with Bayway can only be summed up as problematic. Mainly due to financing. My experience starts on 8/7/19 when i made an appointment with a member of the sales team to check out an internet priced ram, as shown attached ($32,000). The salesman was extremely professional and really helpful. The problem came when financing was introduced. The first financing option that came had an extremely high-interest rate for someone with almost perfect credit should have. But also, they raised the sales price of the vehicle to $34,000, that was with $12,000 in savings. The payment was astronomical (near $700) and I asked them to try again. The second option came in at 32,000 (the advertised price) that had $14000 (570 payment) in savings to make that price. Once again the interest rate offered (6%), which was not on the offer sheet or any offer sheet that was given throughout my visits, was again high for someone with almost perfect credit. My wife and I left and asked that if he could make the deal to call us. Today we received a call from the salesman saying we negotiated the payment to be in the range of what I asked. When I asked on the phone for the details he said; "just come in, they got your payment". I came in, during this visit we noticed there was 1000 more on the buyout of my trade in which was accounted for in the new financing. We wait for 2.5 hours until around 9 pm to get to the financing guy. Once we got there, we asked about the payment and the price, he said they couldn't make it because of the 1000 dollar payout difference. So I asked to see the finance sheet because I was quite sure they raised the price again. The never sent the finance person back in, they sent our salesman back in to discuss the financing which I thought was unacceptable. Sure enough on the new financing sheet, they raised the price up to $35,000, that's with $11,000 in savings which is less savings than what they were offering days earlier and the price was $3,000 higher than the advertised price. They were manipulating the price of the vehicle to meet the payment instead of giving me the best deal they can offer, even if that meant not providing the advertised price of the vehicle. The salesman stated the finance person would not speak to me about what was going on, and kept insisting the fluctuation in the payment was due to the 1000 extra on the buy out which was true, but we were beyond that, this was no longer about the payment. They were going to charge me more for the vehicle than what was advertised, at a lower interest rate just so i would be in a payment range, which is shady. If they had offered the final interest rate (which they refused to show me and only stated "Between 3% and 5%") at the internet advertised price the payment would be WAY lower than what they were trying to meet. It's safe to say we signed nothing, lodged a complaint with the salesman (who i know had no control over the finance team, but they refused to speak to us even though they were in the room next door), and we left. I've purchased several cars and NEVER have I had an experience of false advertising or price manipulation like this. The price should be as advertised, the interest rate should be the lowest you can provide. By raising and lowering the sales price along with the interest rates to make a "payment" acceptable is not how to make a fair sale. On the google review, I was asked to call and speak to a manager. So I did and spoke to someone claiming to be the sales manager. After explaining how my visits were, he said he would call back soon to help fix this. This was Monday, by Thursday I had not heard anything from him. So I sent an email to the General Manager. Today (8/16) I received a call from a sales manager. On the simple question on why aren't you honoring the price advertised, I only got the response "You asked for a specific monthly payment and we met that", and I reiterated that yes they did but at the cost of RAISING THE PRICE OF THE CAR. Then I told him how I saw at the bottom line of the total financed price did not change in 3 visits. He said that was impossible because of the deals he was making for me. But then I told him how the salesman told us on our last visit that no matter what rebates are given, what price is changed, what fees are changed, etc....the bottom-line total financed price would never change. To that, he responded, "I see". So, of course, no deal was made, because this dealership cant honor advertised prices, and if they do, they have to supplement that lost with either a high-interest rate or tacking on other fees and items such as 2800 in accessories. Don't waste your time if you're coming in off of a price you saw on the site, it's fake they will not honor it if it doesn't meet their bottom line. 32,000 for a 47,000 truck sounds too good to be true...because it is. No stars would be more accurate (Keep in mind I use to be a manager at a car shop) I have my own person Mechanic. I have never brought my vehicle here for any kind of servicing other than recalls. I bring my jeep grand Cherokee eco-diesel model 2014 in for a recall service on the EGR cooler. The first time I brought it in they told me they did not have the part and sent me on my way. Second time was the same. The third time the kept my vehicle for a day and returned it saying the never got the part. Within a week my oil and coolant mixed together. I brought the car back and let them know what happened they reassured me that they were going to fix it. After 2 months and a lot of calls, they claim it wasn't covered because the oil cooler was also damaged and they blame it on that. I did a lot of research, collected everything and showed them that there are multiple people that come in for the EGR cooler recall and had the exact same thing happen to their Jeep. The issue is the oil cooler and EGR cooler need to be changed together or they will cause the Jeep to mix the oil and the coolant. Because their system didn't recommend, they didn't mention it. However if you google it, it clear states to switch both at the same time. To shorten the story, my Jeep stayed there for a year and did not get fixed, they flushed the engine and gave it back saying it would be $14000 to replace the engine on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee eco diesel ( I only owed $14000 left on the actual Jeep) I end up calling the head person that put me in-touch with the general manager who assured me it would be fix. The manager at this location changed 'multiple times each time setting the process back and starting the research on their part all over. Jennifer McCumber stated the new repair manager would take care of my car ... he ended up quitting a month or so later. Which the new manager after him informed me they will not be fixing it. And tried to charge me $300 for a new battery because the old one died from them having it so long. Their final words to me " we don't recommend you driving it because the oil and the coolant have already start mixing AGAIN" I had enough support to take them to court but truly don't have time to. If this is how they treat a customer that only drives Jeep, 32 years old and haven't had any other car besides Jeep since I was 16... then they don't care about customers. This problem is so common, two months ago I was at the gas station and saw someone with the diesel Jeep so I told the lady go get a warranty because of what could happen.. she replied " wow! That's crazy because my engine had to be replaced already. It took her dealership over a year to agree to do it" ... I live in Crosby what are the odds that a Jeep would have the same issues?? .. if you research the engine the new replacement engines have fixed the EGR cooler issues but the won't repair engines when they go out due to the same issue???? And here's the icing on the cake After making me tow my car out they call me to buy my car from me at a lowball price because "it's not running" (IT WAS RUNNING GEAT BEFORE I BROUGHT IT TO YOU CLOWNS) look I suggest to go anywhere else but here. They will mess your vehicle up and will not do nothing about it. They will cost you more money and problems. If I could give them zero stars I would. I bought a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe back in September 2021. It broke down in June of this year. It's still under warranty. It broke down because there was sludge in the engine resulting from a recall that should have been taken care of while in their possession. I took it to be serviced and it has become a blame-game. Here we are, in August with one daughter starting junior high and one in High school. Im having to rent a vehicle to get by. I just became a widow so I am solely responsible for taking them everywhere in addition to having to work my regular 9-6 job. I know I should get an atty but I just can't afford it. I don't know what to do. They are telling its from negligence. I have had oil changes and changed filters, etc. The negligence was from prior owner, yet they want to charge me $8,000. I had a battery installed but they left corrosion on my terminals. I have a subwoofer and they pulled the power cord out leaving it exposed near the battery and when I went to plug it in I noticed they had removed the fuse too. That wasn't even necessary. WRONG! soon as I drove off the lot the check engine light came one took it back the same day they were suppose to fix the problem they didn't I have been up there every month until August the light came on again they refuse to fix the issue that THEY originally said they fixed well they didn't I fixed it and my car made a year this October and to show its appropriateion the motor went out and bayway refused to take responsibility. I have talked to Glenn Holloway, Jennefier the GM Mr. Wolfe the person that SOLD me the car no one wants to help so I called the finance company and told them to pick the car up and I now have a bad mark on my credit Because Bayway motors .
