Last week, my car wouldn't shift out of Park, and had several other symptoms of problems. I had purchased it from the used car department at Norman Frede (now Fertitta) Chevrolet. I had it towed to the dealership's Service Department. It stayed there for two full days while they attempted to diagnose the problem. Turns out that the battery I had recently purchased from an auto parts store, had been installed incorrectly. They fixed that issue and returned the car to me with no charge. They could have charged me several hundred dollars and I would have gladly paid. However, they were honest about it, and I really appreciated that. Kudos to Bernard Cardenas, the Service Advisor, and the folks he works with. In the past, I've bought five cars, both new and used, from this dealership. They've always been professional and competent, and obviously, honest. read more

They had a used car listed for sale, but they actually weren't ready to sell it yet. Even after exhaling I was pressed for time to find my daughter a car, it took them over 10 days to divide they weren't going to sell the car until they made repairs and increased the price. read more

I really wish I would've read these reviews before making my purchase with Fertitta Chevrolet. I purchased 3 trucks from Norman Frede since 2010, always had nothing but kind words to say about them and recommended many people to go there. Even after I moved an hour away, I only went to them for simple oil changes, inspections, etc.. I was a loyal customer. Out of the blue one day Fertitta calls saying they can get me in a newer vehicle for the same or lower payments. Instead of doing my homework on the new name, I dove straight in thinking I could still trust their word as I had with Norman Frede. They let me test drive a new truck and told me I'd be able to have the same payments as my current vehicle.. so I said why not. Well a few weeks down the road when I set up my account it was not in fact the same payment. Then when I spoke to Tonia she was talking to me like I was stupid with her "Oh honey" and laughing. They bamboozled me 100%. And icing on the cake, when I went to get my plates, the girl behind the desk just handed them to me. First time I've ever purchased a vehicle and not had them put the plates on. You would think after my years of loyalty there would be someone who cared enough to make it right. I've spoken to a few dealerships about my situation and they all told me I was screwed over bad. So if you were a long time Norman Frede buyer, save your time and money and look elsewhere first. Garbage effort by a group of paycheck collectors. They can't seem to get their "new pricing right," offered to do mobile service - never showed, then said they tried to call to reschedule. No voicemail left. No follow up. Either they are overwhelmed, or they are lazy, regardless would highly recommend finding another service department if you buy a car there. Really disappointing. We are typically loyal, but Fertitta Chevy is not the same as Frede in the service department. read more

Communication. I made an appointment for my 2024 Silverado because the ESC computer light came on. I was told the fix would be covered under warranty. However I didn't realize the appointment was not for someone to look at my truck but to put it "in line" for the technician to get to it when they could. When I finally talked to a manager, he said it might be because if alignment. He asked if someone had worked on it before because they saw tool marks. They did an alignment in December! He didn't even check the records. This is day 2 without my truck and they don't even offer a loaner vehicle. They said it was up to the customer to make alternative arrangements! How can you do that when they can't tell you when your vehicle might be ready? What a joke. The customer service between someone buying a car and a customer getting the car fixed is eons apart. Never underestimate the importance of service after the sell. I would give dealership an F+. read more

I purchased a Jeep from Fertitta Chevrolet in November, and unfortunately, the experience was far from ideal. Despite bringing my own financing, I still had to wait several hours before I could leave -- something that should have been a quick and simple process. The real frustration, however, started after the purchase. By mid-January, my 60-day temporary tags were about to expire, and I still had not received my permanent plates. No one from the dealership ever reached out to notify me of the delay -- it was entirely on me to follow up and request an extension. Another 30 days passed, and still no plates. Once again, I had to chase down the dealership for another extension. When the plates finally did arrive, I was told it was "company policy" that I had to physically sign for the delivery, which meant I had to schedule time off work to be home. Even then, they didn't proactively provide the tracking information they promised -- my wife had to call them directly just to get the basic details to make sure someone would be home. Overall, this was an extremely poor customer service experience from start to finish. Communication was non-existent, and the amount of follow-up required on my part was unacceptable. I would not recommend Fertitta Chevrolet to anyone looking for a smooth and professional car buying experience. read more

Before purchasing a used car from this dealership, I encourage you to hear my experience I purchased a Jeep from this dealership under the impression that it had been exceptionally well cared for, as they emphasized their personal knowledge of the previous owner and its maintenance history. I was also told at the time of purchase that I could bring the vehicle back for any needed service. Unfortunately, my experience has been the exact opposite. Within a very short time of purchase, the vehicle required a complete engine rebuild--so soon that the warranty company initially resisted covering the repair. Since then, the Jeep has spent more time in repair shops than in my own driveway. To make matters worse, when I did return for service, I was told the dealership could not even perform repairs on Jeeps because they "didn't have access to the system," despite the promise at purchase that they could handle all of my service needs. The financial and personal costs have been overwhelming: warranty disputes, expensive repairs, and countless out-of-pocket expenses for rentals and rideshares while my vehicle sat in the shop. When I approached the dealership about trading it in due to these ongoing issues, I was offered only $12,000 on a nearly $30,000 vehicle and told I'd "do better selling it privately because of its curb appeal." But I cannot, in good conscience, pass this Jeep on to someone else knowing the problems they would inherit. At this point, I've accepted my fate with this vehicle, but I could not stay silent any longer. As I write this, I am literally arranging to have it towed for the second time this month. This has been, without question, the most disappointing purchase of my life. To be fair, I do know someone who purchased a new vehicle here and has had no issues. But if you are considering a used vehicle, please understand the risk. A dealership's reputation should rest not only on what they sell, but on how they support their customers afterward. I typically don't leave reviews unless they are positive. There's enough negative in the world.. this is my second vehicle I've purchased from this specific dealership once when it was still Norman Frede. I worked with Mark the dealer, I told him what type of vehicles I was interested in and ended up with a 2021 Nissan Rouge sv. The service was fast, he was knowledgeable. Which I appreciated. I ended up leaving that same night with that rouge. I went to the store right after and the check oil light came on... called mark in the morning and told him he said to bring it back in the service team probably forgot to reset it when inspecting the vehicle.. I bring back in, things happen i understand. I received a voicemail from Pastor the service manager a few days to a week later that I need to bring my vehicle back in because on the initial purchase of the vehicle the machine that does the state inspections which was down. So I'm driving around in a car that legally I shouldn't have been. I go back to the dealership so they can preform that inspection just to be told the person who performs that has already left for the day. The service team tells me they can't really let me leave with my car until that inspection is done and so I can get my permanent plates so I need to take it to get inspected and bring back that it passed and they will reimburse me. I do it because I have no choice. They told me to take a picture of the paper saying it passed and send it to them so that paperwork can get started. I receive another call after sending that picture that I needed to come back up with the actual hard copy. I'm upset at this point. I bring back the paper. I'm loosing gas, adding miles to the car running back in forth for a service I gladly paid for, my time which I will never get back. Meanwhile while talking to the service team everyone seems like this isn't a big deal and I feel brushed off and no sign of empathy whatsoever. After all this waiting for my permeant plates to arrive I notice it's getting close to the expiration date of the paper plates.. I call up to the dealership asking if they were there yet and they like yeah they are here... now once again I'm upset why has no one called me. Once again I'm having to take the initiative to do that. I go up to the dealership the next day for the paper plates someone offers to install them. The person who does that tells me I have no front bracket on my car to display the license plate which legally needs to be displayed in the state of Texas. They don't have any in stock that they will order me and it should come in the following week. My question is that if license plate has to be displayed why wouldn't that have been taken care of and installed or be order with my plates before I drove off the lot the first time. A few weeks go by MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT comes on. I could literally break down in tears at this point. This is about 2 and 1/2 months from purchase date. I call the service department to check it out because when I bought the car it came with car bravo warranty if anything was wrong with the car with in 6 months/ 6,000 miles. I've not hit that that mileage or that time frame. They take my Turns out a shutter behind the grill is broken and needs to be replaced. They quote me $1,100 to fix it! I immediately go up there and talk to Pastor the service manager because I just bought this car why isn't this covered and why am I being charged that much. He says car bravo doesn't cover that and used cars needs maintenance. Agreed cars do maintenance but my question is why does a car that I bought off a certified dealership need maintenance of something breaking that I did not cause in that short of a time frame. It makes me wonder what kind of cars are being put on this lot especially after it not being properly inspected from the original date of purchase. I tell him all the issues and inconvenience I've had they drop the price to $375. My car note is $445. And I just spent that on maintenance. I just need my car back at this point. I'm ready to be done with this place. I'm in constant worry if I bought a car that should never been put up for sale. I may not know a lot about vehicles but I do know customer service and this was not it. I feel taken advantage of, I could of spent over $20,000 plus maintenance somewhere else. I had to take multiple days off of work to deal with this and lost more money. I hope someone who can make proper changes see this and rectifies this situation. read more

I brought my 2019 Silverado in because of transmission issues and it was a great experience at Fertitta Chevrolet thanks to Brandi and the rest of the team. I am so glad that I moved my service business here from Bayway Chevrolet (which is only a couple of miles from my home and believe it or not, there's a difference in dealerships). The employees at Fertitta treat customers with a lot more respect. Brandi kept me updated on my truck and the technicians did a great job on my transmission. It runs great. Service department is garbage! Nothing is ever covered "under warranty". We would cover this, but your issues was this one thing that we dont cover. EVERY time. Sales staff is insulting & talks at you like you're stupid. Basic bait & switch tactics (we advertised this, but, even tho you qualify we're gonna charge X. Bet on being pressured on over MSRP regardless of the actual "numbers" and nothing being "under warranty". And regardless what they say, there is NEVER an available loaner. Apart from Jacob and whoever answers the phone on the service side it's terrible. I show up to a 7:30 am appointment and explain that I'm here for an oil change and our back seat is not locked to where it's unsafe for a baby seat or for a passenger. (Mind you we've been here b4 for this, they said it was fixed and it wasn't fixed.). A man named Chase or something is called because it's not just an oil change, so I wait...not long Chase was punctual but He then greets me with, "why am I being Called for you?" Instead of the standard hey how can I help today? So I show him exactly what the back chair is doing and he seems uninterested as if it's not a big deal...as the day passes he calls and says it hast been diagnosed even though I showed him the problem at 7:30 am....10 hours later I pick up the car and it hasn't been fixed. His last comment was basically admitting that they couldn't get to it, (aka they don't want to fix something under warranty that they don't make money on). What an awful experience...we drove in from Austin because we thought we trusted this location but they have fallen into the money hungry trap. read more

We purchased a new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 back in May of this year. The truck has been back in for warranty service 4 times already and the last time was beginning of November. The truck is still in the shop waiting for a new transmission valve body - it's now Christmas, 8 + weeks later and still no update on when the parts to fix will be available. The dealership has offered to put us in a rental car or suv but not in a truck. Since this vehicle is a service vehicle we cannot use a car or suv. Apparently this is a national back-order on the part because there are thousands of trucks with the same problem sitting in service departments across the country. Bet they're not telling new customers about that! Never, ever, ever going to buy a Chevrolet again and definitely would not recommend this dealership to anyone.. read more

I bought my car two years ago from this dealership. This place used to be great and seemed as if it was running smoothly, well ever since someone else bought it , it has gotten bad. Specifically for me with the customer service and mechanics. The past few times I have come to get an oil change it takes absolutely forever and they do not even call me when it's done. Not only that I have to call multiple times to even get ahold of someone. I had came a month ago to get my front end breaks replaced and Brandi told me that they would send someone in to get me an uber home since I had other things I needed to get done by a certain time period on that day. I waited in the waiting room for an hour then I called to see if they had forgotten about me, they did but didn't admit it and send they would be coming in soon to get me the uber. I waited over another hour and then called again , she came into the waiting room to say to me that she can still get me a ride home when my car only had 30 mins left I said no considering I live all the way in pearland so there'd be no point and she said "I promise it's not just sitting back there, someone is working on it and it takes awhile" . I was annoyed but let it be. But this has also happened with oil changes as well. Fast forward to September 3rd I went to get my rear end breaks replaced , I called and set up an appointment for 8:30. I explained to the young man about what happened last time with the uber incident and he promised it wouldn't take any longer than usual this time to get it done which is an hour to an hour and a half. I asked for an uber to take me to a coffee place just so I can sit and relax, mind you I had just gotten off at 7:30 from a 12 hour shift at my hospital job so I was already exhausted by 9am. Tell me why when I called at 10am which was the third time trying to get ahold of Brandi , she proceeded to tell me that my car was just now getting on the lift. I was furious. I started going elsewhere, until I had an emergency. Regretted I went back. Workmanship, communication, time for appointments, appointment length, all bad. I have had a bad experience nearly every time in the past few years. It's as little as leaving oily hand prints, but not enough to really make a deal about it, until something like this happens every of the time. Parts gets parts in on time, but service won't call back until days, nearly a week later. Takes several phone calls to get someone to call you back when you have already been told the part is in. Then when they do, it's hard to get an appointment. No reason why I'm waited this long other than bad communication. read more

I took my vehicle in for service and was told I needed a new torque converter clutch, amongst other things, and it would be around $4,000. The service representative I spoke with could not give me a straight answer on whether or not I would get a loaner, and I asked/reminded the service representative multiple times that I needed a loaner. My situation was of no concern to this employee. I tried calling multiple times because I had not heard back about the status of the loaner, and on multiple occasions did not get a call back from the service representative. When I did get a call back, it was as if everything I had said about needing a loaner had been forgotten. An appointment was scheduled for over 2 weeks out, even after I requested a sooner appointment due to the severity of the issue in my car. Then, no confirmation, no communication whatsoever. We took my car elsewhere and left paying less than a quarter of what Fertitta Chevrolet was going to charge, with a much more reasonable diagnosis and treatment. When I informed the service representative of this, the response was "okay thank you," and hung up. No apologies for lack of communication, incorrect diagnosis of the vehicle's issues, etc. Nothing. Unfortunately Fertitta has lost a customer. read more

Had tires rotated here 700 miles ago during an oil change. Technicians failed to either inspect the tires or failed to inform me of excessive wear on inside of front tires. Allowed me to leave which is a safety hazard, tires can easily throw a belt and have an accident from this. Much less cost me 2 tires by wearing down the ones they rotated to the front as well. When I told the service department they agreed it was a mistake and Trevor was very polite however he could not approve any form of responsibility on the half of Chevy(Norman Frede) except for labor cost. I have 22" tires, this caused me to ruin an additional 2 tires, had they warned me I could have fixed the issue then without further damage to my tires. Trevor went to his director and they flat refused to accept any responsibility and said it was a mistake though. Horrible companies do not back their work, I will be finding a new dealer to service my vehicles and purchase future vehicles from. I needed some cosmetic front bumper body work from a freak accident in a car wash. I decided to take it too the dealership since the other guy's insurance was responsible for it. I bought a vehicle here, during the test drive a check engine light came on. They assured me this was due to a recall. They had the vehicle taken to the shop and had the light deleted off the dash. On the way home the light came back on. I was assured this was normal and would go away within 24 hours. Well, it didn't. I took it to a different jeep dealership who let me know 7k of repairs where being indicated by the deleted lights. Do not buy a Chevy from here. We recently bought a BRAND NEW Chevy Colorado. Drove off the lot with only 8 miles on it. The check engine light came on not even a full week of having the truck. The light came on, brought our speed down from 80 mph to 40mph. Truck was jerking , which could've caused a serious accident. We took to dealer for repairs, 1st day they didn't look at truck, 2nd day they didn't look at truck. Finally after 3 days they finally took a look. We picked up truck, drove 5 mins and SAME EXACT thing happened. Turned back around to take truck in. They kept it this time 5 days. After only 40 miles from the 2nd time being picked up. The truck once AGAIN. DID THE SAME thing. Clearly a lemon truck has been sold to us. Brett our sales guy is telling us to wait for the repairs for now the 3rd time (which as of today repairs have not been made it's been a week in shop). Eddie the sales director is telling us they can't help us. They will not take the truck back or cancel to sell. Lenny the general manager ignores our calls. We are paying insurance, monthly payments on a truck we have had in the shop for more than we have had. They don't care. They don't care cause they got their sale. They sold us a faulty truck, that could've cause my family to be in serious accident now 3 times. As of today, STILL NO PROGRESS,STILL NO RESOLUTION. STILL NO WORKING TRUCK. read more

This was the first time that I needed to have my 2016 Equinox in the shop and after looking at several dealerships I n the area I chose Norman Frede. I needed a rental while my car was in the shop and Aaron recommended Hertz in League City because they would pick up the rental when I dropped it off. I dropped my car off Monday afternoon and got a call first thing Tuesday morning about what they found and the cost involved and when it would be ready. Just a few hours later I got the call that my car was ready and I picked it up around two that afternoon. Everyone I talked to in the service department was helpful, polite, friendly and I really couldn't ask for anything more. I appreciate the speed and the reasonable cost for my repairs and for how well I was treated. I will definitely use them again and recommend them every opportunity. read more
