Dr. Betty Chan is the best dermatologist in Toronto. Bold claim, yes. I've been seeing her since 2008 for acne treatment. Back then I was doing my research for hyperpigmentation and acne scarring. Armed with my research, I made an appointment to see Dr. Chan to inquire on laser treatments. Back then lasers weren't advanced to treat Black skin. Dr. Chan listened to my concerns, thoroughly examined my skin and gave me two prescriptions for topical acne. It worked. No lasers needed. She didn't try to sell me a laser package when it wasn't needed (like other Toronto spas). She helped to clear my skin after years of trying everything (and I do mean everything). She's simply the best in the business and I've referred family and friends to see her. Dr. Chan is friendly and patient - also quick. Every time see sees me she takes photos of my progress (I've paired her prescribed treatment with Korean beauty products which clears up the occasional blemish). If you are Black or Asian with dark/tan skin, see Dr. Chan. You won't regret it. read more

I am glad to have switched my Botox doctor. My new doctor is John Keller from Baywood. He is easy going. He is not greedy or careless like my previous one! When I tell him I want more Botox, he always tells me maybe less is better :) Then we sort of compromise and the results always come out beautiful. I am thankful, reason why I am posting this. I like this place a lot. Sure, it's not a day spa, with tea and water features, but what it lacks in decor is reflected in great pricing. Dr. Keller is as affable as he his knowledgable. He will put you at ease and the results won't be overdone, like some of the high pressure sales spas out there. I was pleased with my results and will return. read more

The only reason why I chose this place is because the laser hair removal is performed by a dermatologist - Dr. B. Chan. She is good but adamant about what she prefers to do with you rather than what you want from her. Here's why: She insisted (quite a few times) that I should take birthcontrol pills, apparently it is suppose to reduce hair growth. (well if I knew that I should be popping pills rather than giving my mula to her). Anyway, I polity told her that no. But I found that when I went back to my first few sessions, she ignored my prior remarks and mentioned quite a few times that I should be on pills. Anyway, I ended not taking the pills. Personally I don't admire docs who push pills on patients (vs. suggesting natural ways). The services are bit expensive but I find laser everywhere is expensive, so why not give your business to someone who is in medical field and knows how to perform the procedure. There are too many clinics out there with estheticians that are not licensed to do the work that they do. Anyway, I been to the clinic for 10-12 sessions for laser hair removal and the results are impressive. I would recommend this place if you have a grand or two G to spend. read more

I went there for the 99$ Botox deal and this is NOT A SCAM. The doctor was professional and the Botox injection was done properly. Actually, it last more than 5 months. I don't know what happened to the other person, but I know for a fact that they give a guaranty on their services and if you are not satisfied, the doctor himself will put more unit. read more

I have moderate Rosacea. Flushing and if I use products on my face ie. Foundation, face washes, creams etc it will make my face flare up. I am very careful not to put anything on my face to cause it to get upset. I take Apprilon which helps but the flushing still continues. I've been looking at different ways to come off the medication and get rid of the dilated blood vessels. I tried IPL treatment although it was good at clearing the face of dilated blood vessels it did not reduce the flushing. I cannot continue with IPL while on Apprilon as it makes the skin UV sensitive. I came across VBeam in my research, the promise of clearing dilated blood vessels and control flushing while still able to use Apprilon . I contacted Baywood Clinic. The secretary, and doctor are very nice, good bedside manner. Doctor told me she'd treated patients with worse Rosacea than me. Excited, I jumped at the opportunity. The VBEAM cost me just over 2000$ for 4 sessions. Not only did the VBeam not work but it did not get rid of the dilated blood vessels that were already there and it created new ones. I would come off my Apprilon only for my face to get a bit worse and then have a down time of a couple of days for swelling and redness to then go back on the Apprilon. At my last appointment the doctor gave me a prescription for a new (to Canada) drug called Rosiver (Soolantra ) in the States, and told me to eat a reduced inflammatory diet....are you joking? No, this is why I came to you for the 2000$ treatment. I can get that information and prescription from my family doctor/the web/nutrionalist. VBeam cost alot more than IPL. Obviously VBeam is a gimmick for these dermatologist to get rich because VBeam does NOT work. Good luck. I hope this review finds other Rosacea suffers and they don't make the same mistake I did. read more

I have been to Baywood many times for the last 2 years or so. Dr. Keller has ALWAYS been kind, caring and listens to his patients. He is also VERY generous and fair. He is knowledgeable and the one thing that I found with this doctor that I have not found elsewhere, is that he does NOT push patients to get procedures that are not needed, in fact just the opposite. I recommend Baywood Clinic and Dr. Keller highly. He is an expert at what he does!!!! read more

I went for laser vein removal on my nose. The right side went well, but when the technician did the left side of my nose, I could feel that it was too hot and said so. She didn't listen and kept zapping away. Right after the treatment I was a little red but otherwise looked ok. Later that evening, I started getting major blisters on three little spots on the left that she had zapped 'too much'. It took days to heal, and I now have a permanent indentation / scar from one of them on the side of my nose. It looks worse that the veins - at least those I could high with makeup. read more

Yes this is a big theft clinic I did Botox with them for that deal $99 for 20 units and it wear off after 2 weeks I wasted $400. I went for the introductory offer for first time patients. Had botox injections (supposedly the same amount of units I have had at another place)...and the effects wore off after two weeks as opposed to 5-6 months. This place is a rip off and the doctor was rude. I will be contacting the College of Physicians and Surgeons to file a complaint. Buyer Beware!!!!! read more
