Before booking anything here, look at the facts: Bellair Laser Clinic has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau, 10 complaints in 3 years (including mine, which is processing), and is on Ontario's Consumer Beware List. I paid almost $1,600 for Dermamelan treatment on my back, chest, and stomach. I had no allergic reaction during the in‑clinic portion and confirmed my at‑home instructions carefully. A week later, my skin became painful, raw, and the top layer was visibly peeling. I sent photos to the clinic and was told this was "normal" and to continue my post care. It wasn't. My skin barrier was broken, and following their advice meant applying an acid product to open wounds. Within two days, I developed severe chemical burns across my back, chest, and neck. My skin is now scarred and significantly worse than before I ever contacted Bellair. It didn't end there. My in‑person assessment with Dr. Pugen was switched to virtual while I was already on my way, making it useless. As I cried through the appointment, he suggested laser treatment even though both my dermatologist and Bellair's own coordinator said it would be high‑risk for my skin type. Two follow‑up calls were scheduled; nobody called me either time and I had to call the clinic to make the appointments happen. The clinic also took very personal "before" photos of my bare chest and back, then later claimed they COULDN'T FIND THEM and they were never uploaded due to "wifi issues." They use iPads with internal storage, so this makes no sense. The violation of patient privacy is truly baffling. When I requested a refund from the director, Oscar Amar, he dragged it out for 19 days, insisted they "did nothing wrong," and eventually offered a partial refund of no specified amount. Bellair Laser Clinic seens to me to be a business that focuses on maximizing profit instead of helping clients. The place is fancy, making you feel you are in a high-end, professional place. But it is all just part of their marketing , and it hides their lack of customer care. I came to get three small age spots laserrd off my face. But they disregarded what I wanted and just did what the "package" they sold me was. I am new to laser treatment so I didn't know the difference. I was recently contacted by Bellair Laser Clinic to exchange my unused sessions and update my review. I had bought a package before and because of the damage afterwards I was unable to use the remaining sessions in my package. I asked for a refund at the time, but did not get one. Now, Bellair offered to have my unused sessions transferred. My spouse then used my remaining unused sessions and had no issues with the laser hair removal. However, I do still have damage from only one session of laser hair removal years later. read more

Had a fabulous first experience at Bellair's Yorkville clinic. Normally I go to the Yonge and Eglinton location (which is top notch), usually for some Laser Genesis action, but this time I decided to give Yorkville a go. Was not disappointed. I tried the Oxygeneo facial for the first time, which has been compared to a combination of microdermabrasion and chemical peel, all rolled into one. First, the technician (Angela, who was so lovely) asked me which type of Oxygeneo "pod" I wanted, explaining that I could focus on acne care, skin moisturizing, anti-aging, etc. I chose anti-aging, which she said would help improve my skin's elasticity. The facial involved three phases, the first of which was clearly the exfoliation phase. It felt quite tingly (feels "spicy" as I said to Angela) as the wand removed dead skin cells and opened up my pores, covering my entire face in a thick lather. During the second phase, my skin was primed for oxygenation using the wand, which she essentially pressed down against my skin in segments, to stimulate the "Bohr effect" (look it up lol. There's actually some good science behind this facial). The final phase involved covering my face with a serum that Angela explained would permeate really well, given the exfoliation and oxygenation that happened in phases 1 and 2. The whole experience took 45 minutes and was super soothing and relaxing. And I have to say, my face looks and feels fresh as a daisy today!! I'm super impressed with this treatment. WORST LIP FILLER EXPERIENCE. GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. I prepaid and requested juvederm ultra for lip fillers, as I've had this lip filler done here a few years ago at bellair laser. I asked 3 times before I paid if I can specifically request juvederm ultra. And was assured it would be juvederm ultra injected. I was injected with volbella instead. When I noticed the box said volbella instead of juvederm ultra, I asked the nurse Lana why it wasn't juvederm ultra, she said volbella is better and she didn't know I requested juvederm ultra.. she wasn't even going to tell me what she's injecting me with. And she's injecting the wrong product. I didn't pay for volbella, I paid for juvederm ultra. And instead of changing to juvederm ultra, she just kept saying this one is better and injecting it. Also, I had a bad reaction to the volbella, and my lips were itchy for like 4 weeks after and lumpy. The director/ CEO Oscar Amar doesn't care, even though he can see I requested juvederm ultra and injected with the wrong syringe. It's a shame, I tried multiple times to like this clinic, doing botox, lip filler and laser (had another problem with their laser on a separate occasion) over the past 4+ years. But their customer service is negative 10000. 0 stars if I could. Just stay away. read more

Bellair Laser Clinic engages in false advertising. The package I bought is not the service I received. I had visual proof that the laser treatments did not cover all the areas I had purchased but the floor managers were unable to offer resolution. After speaking with several managers, my concern was escalated to the Director of Bellair, Oscar Amar, who dismissed my concern without ever trying to understand the issue. I had emailed him offering to clarify my concern multiple times to which he quoted irrelevant policies and neglected my concerns overall. He then blacklisted me as a client so the managers were unable to answer my calls or respond to my emails. This business is fraudulent as the services advertised on their website is not what is delivered on site. Additionally, the registered practical nurses are not trained adequately nor are they professional. They do not follow laser safety protocol (e.g., cleaning the skin prior to laser, providing clients with eye protection from laser damage, use correct laser voltage on the skin) which has resulted in laser skin damage and pigmentation. When I asked to speak to the medical director (a physician), I was told that was not possible as they don't consult at the clinic and are just there by name. This is another instance as false advertising as the clinic highlights that two plastic surgeons take care of medical affairs however this is not true. Be wary of Bellair Laser Clinic. UPDATE Aug 8, 2023: Happy to report I've gone back to Bellair for cortisone injections after the first time (this time having bought a package of 3 shots for $140 after tax). Just had two shots into two smaller cysts (one was 0.5ml of cortisone and the other one was 0.2ml, after expressing concern of the skin depressions if we injected too much). They only charged me for one unit, which is always so appreciated! I'm grateful they always listen to me about this concern and they never make me feel like I'm crazy for wanting less. My wife purchased Botox units to be used at Bellair Laser Clinic. Due to circumstances concerning the pandemic, and a move away from Toronto, she was unable to use them at the time. She called, then e-mailed, and was conveniently stalled by their staff and not told at any point during this process about an expiry on these purchases. Instead, she was told that it would take two weeks for your accountant to credit her account. She responded a few months later, only to be told by another employee or manager that her purchase had expired, and that contrary to what she had been previously been told, she would not be getting a credit, and could no longer schedule a treatment. They took $423.75 and provided no service in return, with no other option at this point (she's not even allowed to use the credits for a treatment). What kind of business practice is this? they have charged me in full for all my treatments. they changed my treatments without my permission (they discussed over the phone but i never signed) and as a result of change they added 115$ to my bill. now they are withholding the services i have fully paid for and claim i never paid in full as someone in the background added to my bill. they never give treatments without charging full price and they made up numbers. over the phone they told me i have gotten 1 treatment over the email they told Oscar Amar their director i got 2. over the phone i was told they only see 400$ record of payment over the email they told Oscar Amar the director that i have paid in full which was 575$ this company is a scam please save your money there are more honest clinics outside go somewhere they treat you with respect. read more

I visited this clinic for their free consultation for laser hair removal. Since I have fair skin and my hair is dark blonde, I wanted to ensure I was a suitable candidate. The lady remained seated at her desk, and didn't even come to take a close look and said "yes, I can see you hair - you are all good". Note, I was inquiring for armpits and even if I didn't shave for a week and I was wearing a tank top I'm wondering how she was able to see my hair (again, I'm blonde and don't have dark, thick hair anywhere in my body). Anyhow, I decided to purchase 5 treatments tricked by a good discount (my fault, I know) and even if I saw a difference in the immediate, the results didn't last long. After my last treatment the person at reception asked me if I wanted to buy other treatments and after saying no, because I wasn't happy with the results she was like 'ah ok'. Don't you care to ask why your clients are not satisfied? I've been going to Bellair Yorkville for a few years now since 2019, I found out about it from some Instagram ad of them having a sale, I decided to try them out, and I've been happy every since. The ladies doing my treatments are really good with how they perform my treatments, and it's always a good time talking with them in the treatment room. BUT!!! My past few appointments I had to wait about 15 min for my room to be ready, after trying to park on busy Yorkville with the impossible and pricey parking, the subway is looking like the more stress free option of getting to and from appointments. My very first treatment that I did back in 2019 was great! I bought an online package during there Boxing Day sale of micro needling. I found that the 3 micro-needling treatment's that I did wasn't enough to get rid of my problematic areas I wanted to target. But, Covid really messed me up. My treatments were pushed back and canceled and rescheduled which wasn't their fault but it was the most annoying thing ever, no one really knew what was going on with the lockdowns and because of that I knew that my results wouldn't of been as good as if I did them consistently. One of the ladies there are very helpful, they helped me figure out what treatments would be best to target what I wanted to, back when I first purchased the micro-needling package my mistake was buying online beforehand and not actually going in for a consultation to figure out what I actually needed, I don't know why I didn't do one before they are free!! Turns out I needed both laser genesis and micro-needling to help with my pore size, which is my biggest insecurity, they did this cool thing that's called a Visia I believe, but we saw everything that was on my skin, it was a bit of an eye opener to see stuff on my face that I haven't even seen before. I was recommended other treatments but based on my budget I'm going to start off with these two packages and go from there. The thing is, the pricing of these treatments are a pretty penny, I usually try to get the sales which are amazing, but from my experience the price of the treatments do reflect on the results. Regarding wait times, for the times I went in for my appointments, I would say try and get your appointment for 15 minutes earlier then the time you actually want to go in for, or budget your time wisely give or take 15 min because I am usually waiting for my appointment, which sometimes can get annoying when I have other things to do, and they are quite long treatments, so my time is by the essence. But the people at the front desk are very welcoming, and regardless of the wait time, the clinic is very clean, and is up to "Yorkville" standards, I'm not from around the area but when I walk in, it just looks and feels like it belongs in this area. I had gone there for microD and chemical peel. on my second peel appt the dumb technician used a higher acid that what was needed for my skin and the next day it started pealing off with huge marks on my face. I informed the staff and the guy who sits there confessed it was a mistake on their end and they would fix it.. so for my next appt, 1 day before they called me and said they no longer have the equipment and that I'd have go to the other clinic. I've been going here I think from 2019, at the beginning they were good, nice polite staff, somewhat overpriced but since they were close to my residence, I kept going and I enjoyed their clean polite environment ... Now though they offer a TERRIBLE service .. not just once or twice ... it's constantly terrible ... they always miss spots for hair removal, ALWAYS! and guess what?even when you make the time to go back in again to get the missed spot, they still miss spots! How hard can it be to just get it done!? they do full face in 5 mins!! That's why! My past couple of experience with them was the worst ... Staff became extremely rude ... I had a very unpleasant encounter with one of them, when I conveyed that to the "management" she did nothing! I'm not even sure if she was the manager or just told me I am the manager so the issue won't be heard! The whole reason this encounter began was that they were running late, not only I didn't complain but I was very understanding! Waiting there till they guided me into a different room. when I entered, the nurse was giving me all sort of attitude in a VERY rude manner that you are late, we don't have time to do your face and fingers - and when I told her I wasn't late and you guys are running behind, she told me well, I've been sitting here from 11 and you didn't show up confusing me with someone else I assume as my appointment was 1130 and they let me in around 1145!! then she continued with her attitude for an hour and was complaining while time she was shaving some spots! Saying I'm spending a lot of time shaving your fingers and then she didn't even do my fingers!! Why would you shave them then if you don't even want to do them? Just to give me attitude? Lol! I refused since I would never return here for treatment, and $300 was a small fraction of what I had paid - definitely not enough to satisfy an unhappy customer. I would NOT TRUST THE REVIEWS anymore. When they contacted me I was taken back to the time I used to be a patient here and realized the review I had originally left was actually missing a lot. Appointments were very often late, and I felt racism where a certain type of clientele seemed especially prioritized and more catered to. They would sell a package, make it sound like it was everything I was looking for, and when the time came for treatments, they'd tell me I needed to pay hundreds more for basic aspects of the treatment (which at any other clinic would be automatically part of the package). Terrible customer service. Understaffed. Chaotic. I've been coming to Bellair for 4 years now, and so far I didn't have any complaints. I even purchased several packages within the last year, even during the lockdown because I liked the place, and it was a good price point. That was until now. Now that they're allowed to open again, and given the fact they have my money already, I was ready to benefit from the packages I purchased. I called several times, only to be left on hold for over 40 minutes, and have the line hang up on me. Since I live across the street, I decided to walk over to schedule an appointment. First of all, they seemed to be understaffed. Secondly, I was starting to get help by someone, who after 30 seconds picked up the phone and left me standing there. Another person took me to the side to help me book. Well, boy was I surprised when their records didn't happen to show anything about my remaining sessions for my hair removal. Funny enough, when I went in the last time before the lockdown, even the nurses would say "with the remaining sessions, you should be fine". The person was trying to be helpful, but after a while left me standing there for 15 minutes because she also had to go take care of more customers. WOW. Is this how you treat folks that purchased your services during a lock down? I don't blame the folks at the front line, it's clear that they're understaffed, but whoever is running this clinic now, or their approach to return is doing a pathetic job. Do better. read more

This is the second Bellair Laser Clinic location I've been fortunate enough to visit. I really have to start off by saying that whoever does the hiring, does an amazing job at training and choosing their staff. Everyone who I've gotten to interact with has been super attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the services they offer. I decided to try the Blu-U/Levulan treatment as my skin is extremely sebaceous which causes me to have frequent breakouts. It starts off with a cleanse, followed by a topical application that sits on for about 45 mins, followed by a Blu light on your face for 8 minutes I believe. There is a slight burning sensation as the topical medicine is applied on your face but nothing painful. I won't lie, after my first treatment my skin did look a bit discoloured but over 2 weeks I would say it gradually disappears as your skin peels. It was probably a month later where I really noticed a change in the texture of my skin. My breakouts on my cheeks are pretty much gone, forehead is completely clear, and my problem area (around the jawline) has improved. I've just completed my second session so I do anticipate my skin improving even more than it has. Once I finish all my treatments, I will post a before and after picture. I really want to give a special thank you to the staff, especially Marlon, who answered any questions I had and was overall very attentive. I wish I remembered her name (I believe she is the head nurse) but she was also very informative. The nurse who did my treatment (I believe she said her name was Joyce) was also very lovely, made small talk with me and was very personable. They made me wait almost 45 minutes for my appointment because their doctors were running late . I felt like they try to do their best to be nice to their clients and the ambiance was great . However it all felt a bit unorganized to me . First they take you to a room , the doctor look at your face and ask you what is your concern . In 2 minutes he says what to do to the nurse . All while you are standing ( you really feel rushed ). Then the nurse take you to upstairs to another room and then do what you want to do . I liked the nurse . The actual procedure was really quick . But again the nurse said she can't do more since she has other patients coming in . I was rushed the whole time and I feel that you really get what you pay for and I don't think I will return there again . read more

Front desk is notorious for making clients feel as though they're being whispered about. A bit like high school, yeah? Where the pretty people smile but roll their eyes when you turn around. After being a loyal client for several years, I just had to break up with Bellair. They were persistent in their poor scheduling habits - keeping clients waiting (for over an hour sometimes) just doesn't cut it. Additionally, management is unprofessional (Oscar, are your ears burning?), nurse injector caused droopy lid with dysport (the one and only time that's ever happened with many treatments before and since), and believe it or not, after having the gall to complain, hey presto! My credits and package freebie treatments disappeared! Nothing on file. A strange coincidence? I guess it's possible. I let the BBB know. I'll give credit where credit is due - Dr Bray does have a wonderful manner and is really skilled. He was the reason I stuck around for as long as I did. Pricing was good, particularly when promotions are offered. Location is convenient and the place is sparkling clean. There are some really sweet and professional techs doing microdermabrasions as well. read more
