I posted this review a week ago sharing my experience because I didn't want anyone else going through what I went through. Back story: I had appointments in January for laser scar removal. However, I was given a skin lighting cream to use in conjunction with my treatments and was not told that I needed to stop three days prior to my appointment. I ended up going to my appointment but was told that I needed to move the appointment to a different day since I had just used a lightening skin cream that morning. I was told to email the director to reinstate my appointment. In January he emailed me back and reinstated my appointment. I then went to the appointment he reinstated. Please find attached screenshots for reference of our communication. That happened in January and fast forward we are now in April. As time passed I really wasn't satisfied with the service provided so I decided to leave a review a week ago. After my review the owner unprofessionally revoked my last treatment session coming up in May. This was a complete separate appointment with a different laser which I paid for separately from the one he reinstated. I have already paid in full and he has not provided me a refund. He decided to cancel my last upcoming appointment out of spite due to my bad review and is trying to link it to the missed appointment that he already reinstated in January (almost 5 months ago). I truly wish I had read reviews before booking at this establishment. My background as a nurse gives me a different perspective. Some staff members seemed underqualified, contributing to an uncomfortable environment from the beginning. During my second laser session, the nurse appeared unsure of how to use the laser and needed assistance. The procedure was incredibly painful, resulting in scarring. Despite assurances that this was normal, the pain was intense, and six treatments have not improved the scars. I need to mention that a-lot of 5 star reviews are misleading because the owner often reinstates appointments in exchange for reviews. While I understand that not every client will have a negative experience, it's crucial to take the poor reviews seriously. Sometimes the issues can be remedied by how it is handled. However, the way the owner handles issues at this company demonstrates a lack of professionalism and extreme immaturity. In response to any criticism, he decides to just cancel your appointments unethically. Got acne? Cuz sadly, I do. Like, deep stubborn buggers that swell and hurt for days on end before naturally resolving. And after years of suffering through this hell on Earth, I finally found the solution. Kenalog injections. It's a steroid medication so it sounds scary, but it's a miracle when it comes to problematic acne. They inject the site with a teeny needle (very mildly uncomfortable) and bam, it stops the development in its tracks. By the next day, you're good to go. Over the years I've had more of these than I care to admit...with absolutely no long-term effects on my skin. When I feel one coming in I usually just walk into Bellair at Yonge and Eglinton without an appointment, and I'm typically served within minutes. The whole process itself takes minutes. But of course, you could also call ahead. As for this facility...it's beautiful, modern, fresh and clean, and the staff are lovely. read more

The technicians are unqualified and the staff and CEO are unprofessional and rude. Bellair Laser Clinic is a shady and unethical business. I began receiving treatments for laser tattoo removal at the end of 2020. I have since had two pregnancies and had to take extended breaks from treatments. While the clinic had been aware that I was breastfeeding, they assured me of the safety of treatments, only to notify me by phone as I was on my way to my final treatment that they had just discovered the risks in doing so. I trusted that their technicians would have the appropriate education from the beginning of treatments, so not to put myself of my newborn babies (from both pregnancies) in harms way. While my final treatment had been cancelled by them within half an hour of the start time, they failed to put the credit back on my account. When I finished breastfeeding my second baby and was ready to return, they refused to provide my final treatment, which I had paid for in advance as part of the package. All the staff I spoke with were smugly speaking down to me as I attempted to resolve this discrepancy. The most shocking was the incredibly dismissive email from the CEO, Oscar Amar (who by the way lives outside of Canada and is completely disconnected to the clientelle), accusing me of trying to get a free treatment as I was being clear I was only trying to receive the treatment which I had paid for. His email did not touch on any of my points and shut me down with tremendous hostility. His email ended with "We have done nothing wrong here and since you no longer have any treatments on file, we consider this matter closed." read more

When you have a larger area to do laser hair removal (legs) then my mindset is definitely to go to a trusted professional. Staffed with nurses and the latest, most comfortable laser technology, to me this was worth the splurge. They moved recently and the new location is huge and better climate controlled than the old spot. It is spotless as one would hope. With a large area, the use of numbing cream is a bad idea. Read some of the horror stories in the US on Lidocaine. So you are pretty much white knuckling it through. Because I don't have a lot of hair, the pain was mostly tolerable. The nurses are very professional and will take longer if needed. For legs you are looking at about a year, getting zapped about every six weeks. Wait for a special, they have them often enough. Why not five stars? They tried to upsell me in a way that I did not like in my last visit. I have generally good skin and am not interested in some of the other work they may do (laser facials and such), so I won't be a long time customer to them. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Getting laser hair removal didn't decrease my hair; it actually increased it, and darkened my skin. My determatologist explained that this is paradoxical hypertrichosis. She said that the hair grew thicker because the energy of the treatment wasn't strong enough for my hair, so rather than killing the hair follicle, it helped stimulate growth. When getting treatments, I would let the nurses know that I couldn't feel the pinches. I was just told I probably have a high tolerance for pain, but my dermatologist said the setting wasn't right for me, so clearly, they didn't know what they were talking about. Also, my doctor said that my colour changed because the setting wasn't right for my skin; she said that it may have damaged some layers of my skin. I regret getting laser hair removal everyday. Not only has it affected my body/appearance negatively, but also my confidence and state of mind. I have made a complaint to Bellair, but they haven't done anything about it. First, they tried to convince me to come in for more sessions to see results, which I would never do of course. Then, I said all of this in an email, and they ignored it. I've made calls and even emailed the director, but haven't heard back. Do yourself a favour, and don't go here. read more

Three months ago I went to this Bellair and got the liposonix treatment for my belly. I didn't wanna go for the measurement follow up because my cake intake was at an all-time high. I put on a couple of pounds in the last three months so I thought they were going to ask me to leave when they saw my gut but according to the measurements I STILL lost an inch. AN INCH! The inch comes off regardless of the scale! That's crazy! totally want to do another treatment; it's well worth it. I got a similar treatment at some other bootleg clinic before, and I think I gained weight from that somehow. And the groupon salons that have a similar treatment, are just not upto par. I love Bellair, they fixed my face and tightened my tummy. I feel like, there's no risk involved with this place, and trust me, some of the other salons are sooo bad. Also, this location is great and just as fresh and clean as the other one. The service is amazing and for some reason, the water is so good. It's like... cold, but not so cold that your teeth click; not brain-freeze cold. OH! This location is difficult to find because it's tucked in between two stores and up a flight of stairs. Once I was inside, I was in awe of how clean and chic the interior design is. I purchased a package for hair laser removal - don't expect Groupon prices because this place is for people who care about quality. The manager, Claudia, is a sweetheart who always greets me warmly and Patty, the girl who performs my treatments is also super friendly and full of positive energy! I've had four sessions so far and the results are great! Hair is noticeably thinner and growing slower. I'm glad I didn't go through the pain for nothing! You can request numbing cream if necessary or take a Tylenol before your zapping session. Though I dread coming here to get lasered every six weeks, the results goes to show that it works! I didn't want to start laser hair removal in the fear that it was really expensive and it would have to keep coming back for more. Well, it is expensive. I paid $700 for my first set of 10 treatments but goodness me what a difference! I paid an additional $400 for 4 more treatments and am now half way through these, I have to say I go back about every 5-6 weeks now and there is a noticeable difference since my first visit. Is it painful? A bit, depends on the strength of the laser, but they start on a moderate setting and work their way up so not to shock your system. It's no different from waxing or threading, and the results are incomparable. Why Bellair? The staff are medically trained and licensed nurses, they are supervised, and have extensive experience. This isn't a backroom, under-the-table, second-hand operation. You get what you pay for! Along with their training, the staff are wonderfully friendly, helpful, and polite. If it's your first time go with Bellair Laser Clinic, you'll never have a better experience! read more

As far as laser clinics go , bellair is great. Remember these places open and close daily. I was surprised to learn theyve been around for 9 yrs. great! So far my treatments have been successful. Got laser treatment done and within 6 sessions i saw results! they tell you at the beginning that there may be a slight chance it wont work, and that's totally understandable because it may not work for everyone. They are friendly but sometimes ... it gets intimidating. All the receptionists stand around and talk, and whenever i inquire about another procedure they try to up sell me the things i don't need. All-in-all, its an amazing place and i trust them with their work. i just wish that the staff/receptionists actually cared about clients and not up-sell them items and procedures just because it costs more. read more

For starters, the new location is GORGEOUS! Wow! I was always so amazed by the clinic in Yorkville, but this clinic is over the top nice! This review is coming in a bit late, but I had a procedure called CoolSculpting done, and I wanted to see what results I would notice before I wrote my review. I did CoolSculpting for my inner thighs. I was a bit nervous, because I heard that the procedure freezes your fat, and I thought it would hurt, but it didn't at all. Actually, it tickled! (I'm NOT kidding!) The procedure was quick and painless, and I got to watch my favourite show on Netflix (Ozark) while it was being done. Also, the room was really cool too, completely decked out just for CoolSculpting. So... what about the results. Well, I don't know if visually there is a huge difference (it's been 2 months), BUT, I notice that my clothes feel different! I don't feel like the thighs of my jeans are as tight and I don't feel like my thighs are rubbing as much (#mysizerox)! Very happy, and looking forward to my next treatment. read more

This has been my go to laser clinic for the past 3 years. I've had my legs, side burns and upper lip lasered here and always had a good experience. The front desk girls are friendly and welcoming and the laser therapist is always bubbly and cheerful, no matter who I get. This can be an uncomfortable and painful procedure but they make it the best it can possibly be. They offer a hot hand towel and tea/water when you check in, and the facility is gorgeous! Although it's a bit on the pricey side, it's worth it! They also tend to have deals/sales on the packages pretty often so definitely keep an eye out for that read more

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I went in for a consultation and was recommended to do the fraxel laser treatment for one small area. The nurse who conducted the laser told me she would use the tool to pass the treatment area five times, but she ended up going through the area 11 times (stopping in between to adjust the machine). She ended up over-burning a much larger area on my cheeks and after 3 months, it still looks drastically worse than before the treatment. I went to another clinic to ask how this could be repaired/reversed, and was advised that the skin has been over-burned and would take years to heel itself. This is the worst clinic ever. Do they not train their practitioners how to use their tools?! Never ever go there. read more

It is my first time having a treatment with Bellair Laser Clinic at Yonge and Eglinton and I am impressed by their services. I don't really give out reviews but to me first impression lasts. Before going through the procedure itself, someone from their team will get to know your skin better so they can provide the best advice which I think is very important for someone who is new to the clinic like me. So Chrystabelle discussed everything to me in a very detailed and educational manner. They really educate clients so they know exactly what they are getting into in terms of the services that they provide. To me this is a BIG Plus! Chrystabelle is very knowledgeable and experienced and also warm towards clients. She is a perfect example of someone who is more concerned about the output rather than the profit. To her, a repeat client is much more important so she and the rest of the team really takes care of their clients. On my first treatment, I had a chemical (medical grade peel). I didn't expect that the services was far more than I expected. During the treatment, they provide thorough analysis, they see which product or kind of peel is best suited to my skin type. They apply a lot of great products on your face like a Vit C booster and I really enjoyed the face massage and interaction with the nurse who did my treatment. Also I wanted to point out that they are providing sales that other clinic cannot provide. This is because they provide the best quality services and they are confident that clients will be happy with the services, rather than just throwing out discounts and clients not getting the results that they want. A Big plus for Bellair again! Continue to do good deeds to your fellows. Cellulite. Everyone has it. Everyone wants to get rid of it. Last time i checked, dimpled skin is not hot on the streets. After trying many lotions and creams that promised to "hide" that dreaded orange peel look (reality is: you can never get rid of cellulite), I was determined to try something professional which really improved the texture and look of my skin. Enter the Velashape treatment at Bellair Laser. I have written about my experience at the Yorkville location (which I love) but decided to try the Yonge and Eglinton location this time due to convenience. The clinic is smaller than Yorkville, but just as clean and pristine. The staff was super friendly and my nurse was genuinely caring and sweet. She made me feel at total ease; after all, the idea of heat breaking down fat cells and them magically disappearing did sound quite puzzling. The nurse was very professional and seemed quite experienced with the machine. Disclaimer: I eat healthy and exercise regularly. Don't stuff your face with a Big Macs and expect miraculous results. The ideal candidate for Velashape is an individual with stubborn pockets of fat/cellulite that are immune to grueling work outs. The nurse suggested 4-6 sessions to achieve my desired results, but guaranteed me that even after one session, I would see an improvement. And she was right. The procedure itself was not painful, however, for me, it felt uncomfortable at times. Some areas of your skin will be more sensitive than others. Make sure to voice your concerns if you feel any discomfort as the nurse will adjust to your needs accordingly. Overall, however, the whole procedure felt like a massage. I think the one mistake that I made was working out prior to my appointment. I wouldn't suggest doing any exercise before or after your procedure. What impressed me the most were the results!!!!!!!!!!! I woke up the next morning and measured my legs only to see a 2 cm reduction. My skin was smoother and firm. I made sure to drink lots of green tea the next day to flush out any toxins. I couldn't believe the results that I got just after one session. No cream could ever achieve that. The management seriously hires top notch people for their clinics always making me feel comfortable, at ease and welcomed. So it was my first time doing Microderm abrasion here. they took me exactly my appointment time which was wonderful! however I'm not especially glad that I had to pay $150 for a Microderm abrasion that lasted 15 minutes. I've done other micro dermabrasion's that have been 30 to 45 minutes long I felt like I got ripped off. I don't know about anybody else but I know when I'm getting things like this done I want to close my eyes and relax. unfortunately I wasn't able to because the girl that was doing it kept talking to me and not just asking me about how my day was trying to upsell me on other things that they do there and coming up with all of theses Things that are wrong with my face that I should be using their services for. I figured they were somewhat pushy because on the day I made the appointment for my session the woman was trying to get me to buy a six pack when I haven't even tried their services yet. Then after I left my session the receptionist tried to push me on buying a package for something else which was very expensive and when I told her I would think about it she then told me she would give me the Father's Day sale which was 10% off.. (by the way I'm not a father and I'm a woman ) Personally I find that they try to hard to sell, their extremely pushy and for the amount of money that you do pay you don't get your services worth. I've just went through an incident with them and was disappointed about it as well as their initial response to it, but after Claudia noticed my growing concerns she was quick to remedy the situation. She set an appointment for me to see the doctor as well as offering me reasonable compensation. I understand mistakes can be made and I'm glad the situation has been treated correctly. I was skeptical about getting laser hair removal, but since having had 4 treatments over the span of 4 months, I can say now that it IS effective, BUT, I think it also depends on which technician you get. For my first 2 sessions, I got someone who did not give me a higher number to zap the hairs out from their roots, but then, I got Swaleen, and she knew not only what to do to make the procedure truly effective, but when I said I was disappointed in the previous 2 sessions I had, she comped me the 3rd appointment when she absolutely did not have to. I felt really taken care of and I would absolutely go back to Bellair and make sure you get Swaleen! She is the best! Clean and bright office space and friendly office staff to boot! read more

I've been going to Bellair for almost a year now, so I think it's about time I give them some kudos. I initially had some Fraxel laser sessions for getting rid of some scars in a rather embarrassing area, and the pricing was very reasonable. I had been to another place before this wherein the technician was noticeably uncomfortable (which made me more uncomfortable), no numbing cream was used (!!!!!), and, to add insult to injury, I was charged an arm and a leg for one session. What a world of difference if made coming to Bellair! The technicians here are all either nurses or nursing students, but all trained and experienced technicians. They are understanding and non-judgemental, and will always schedule enough time for proper numbing cream application when I book so there is minimal discomfort. They've also introduced me to some great products (which they sell as well) to help with the healing process. I have never felt uncomfortable going here. Even though pretty much everyone in the clinic now has seen me naked, it has never been especially awkward. I've always been reassured they've 'seen it all'. The women who have worked on me have always been polite, understanding, and for the most part have a good sense of humour. Although lasers are painful, I honestly look forward to coming here, as I really feel I've bonded with these girls. Since I was already coming here for the Fraxel treatments (which have helped to significantly flatten my scars), I decided to try laser hair removal as well. I got a great package for a very reasonable price. I think I've had about 5 sessions already, and what can I say, it's really worked for me. (I have light skin and darkish, fine hair.) The areas treated (lower legs + bikini line) are practically hairless now, save for a few hairs here and there, and I still have many sessions left. My advice to anyone considering laser hair removal or Fraxel at this location is definitely try it - I would not hesitate to recommend this location. But do be patient: it takes several sessions before you'll see significant results, so take advantage of deals on bigger packages if you can. They will work with you to get you what you want. If you're just doing one or two sessions you likely won't see the results you want, so save your money until you can commit to at least 7 of them. It really hurts at first but over time it hurts a lot less (as there is less hair). Take some Tylenol before you go to ease discomfort, and try don't go when you have PMS if you can avoid it (it hurts waaaaay more - trust me!) But do go here - they are great! I want to rate them negative one billion stars!!!They ruined my skin. I trusted them and they just sold me an expensive treatment to make money. Every other perfessinal I have gone to see the fix what these people have done to me are in shock they did this procedure on me looking at my skin tone. They have permanently ruin my face and I have spent thousands of dollars trying to do what I can to get it looking somewhat normal. These people just want to make money and prey on trusting woman who have insecurities they are trying to fix and when you approach them with how upset you are they want to sell you more expensive procedures that won't do a thing. I came in for the chin cool-sculpting service.The staff and service were all really friendly and inviting. During my initial first consultation, I was told that I was only a candidate for the front(centre) area of the chin, but not either of the sides of my chin. Instead i was offered a different procedure to target those areas. However, when I came in to get my actual procedure done, as the nurse (different from my consultation) was taking my measurements once again, she recommended that I get both of my left and right sides of the chin cool-sculpted as well, for maximum results. When I told her that I was seen as an inadequate candidate for this during my consultation, she seemed a bit confused, and told me that it would only make more sense to get the procedure done on my sides as well. I wish the accurate information was given to me in the initial consultation, as it would save me a second trip, and ultimately speed up my results. Once again, whilst the service was nothing but friendly and inviting(10/10), due to the inaccurate medical opinions and information I was provided, I will unfortunately, not be returning for any more services at the Bellair Clinic. read more

I went there for a face hair removal treatment and I wish I didn't. It has been 2 months since I finished my 6 appointments that I paid almost $700 for, and I ended up with red acne scars all over my face and the hair on my face is the same as before. It was painful and my skin was burned with no good results. There were times where my hair was not even properly removed after the appointment and I had to go back and demand another session. Basically, just save your money and find another clinic. read more

I bought 6 Fraxel Sessions in 2013 for Acne Hyperpigmentation and some Scarring. I ended up doing 4 treatments and saw no improvements. The 3rd and 4th treatment were stronger and hurt a lot more. I was red for up to about 10 days after my treatment. The downtime was bad and for no results it wasn't worth it. I ended up not using the last two treatments and sold to a friend. I spent and wasted a lot of money, and i've been researching online and now I know there's much better options out there for hyperpigmentation/scarring than Fraxel. Actually one of the world's most respected skin care doctors (Davin Lim in Australia) considers fraxel one of the most overrated tools in skin care. The staff is really friendly and the clinic is clean. But based on my experience, Fraxel was not helpful. read more

After a long summer, making do with my sun-weathered skin, I needed a pick-me-up (not to mention another go at the smattering of hair that has popped up on my legs these past several months). So I booked another appointment at Bellair (despite all the Groupon and other online coupon companies that try to sell you unlimited laser hair removal for cheap - from companies I have never heard of and would never trust my body to). The folks at Bellair have been so professional and I have so loved the results that I booked my appointment, and again, was so happy to see the welcoming and professional people who work there. I underwent the Genesis - the laser that helps improve skin texture. I've had Genesis done on my skin before and love the results. After one session, I walked out with a glow (you wouldn't know I just underwent a treatment), and the results just have improved with time. I've got my laser hair removal appointment set up for next week. Although there's a bit of a sting with the laser hair removal, it's worth the bit of discomfort. And because I've had laser hair removal before, I don't need much work. All worth it for the road to smooth! read more

I am a client of this clinic since 2008, at their Yonge & Eglinton location. I went there for laser hair removal and was told that I am perfect for this treatment (light skin, dark hair). After so many years of treatments and visits at the clinic I can tell for sure that all they want is to sell you overpriced treatments, as another reviewer already mentioned. And I have great doubts about the knowledge of their specialists (the only thing that those specialists know is their perfectly memorized speech). Results: I did have some hair reduction on my lower legs and bikini area (even though I am seeing more and more hair growing back), however I ended with long darker hair on my upper legs and horrible hair on my arms and upper lip. Previously I never shaved or waxed my upper lip area or my upper arms (it was fine, baby hair) now I am paying for electrolysis to get rid of the hair that laser treatment caused. Before I started the treatments I specifically asked them about my upper lip and my upper arms because of the very fine hair that I used to have and was encouraged to treat those areas. And, as a naïve, I believed them. I paid thousands of dollars and ended up with horrible dark hair instead of seeing a reduction on my hair - I want my old hair back; I want these areas to be fixed. From the beginning they tried to blame it on me - I had tests done by my doctor but nothing is wrong with my hormones. They sent me to their dermatologist at Yorkville location (who actually is not a dermatologist, but he is one of Bellair's owners, which was not mentioned to me though, when I was referred to him by the clinic), and of course it was a very strange consultation and a waste of time for me; he said something such "well, you have hair on your head!" (are you kidding me?? of course I have hair on my head, was I supposed to be bold or what?) and he practically said that I am stuck!, he wrote on a piece of paper some hormonal tests that I should do, without signing the paper (so unprofessional!!!!) Back to Eglinton location, immediately after the meeting with their "dermatologist" they said they will give me some "free" treatments (that meaning I have to pay for legs treatments worth of $1000 and they will treat the upper part of my arms, the small area from elbow down for "free") and if I accept the offer I have to make the decision in that very moment - practically I was not giving the chance to think about it. Again the only thing they wanted was my money, I felt so uncomfortable - after being their client for so many years they were just pushing me to buy more treatments instead of trying to find a solution that would work for me (usually I go there, I tell them about my issue and the only thing that those girls do is to look into the computer to book me more treatments (which mean more money from my pocket), without even looking at me (to assess what my problem is would be too much for them!) And to emphasize what I described above, recently I told them that I have a few sun spots from last summer on my chicks (light brown). I was told that I need one, maximum two, laser treatments - they made me buy a package of three, of course. Now, I am after the second treatment and, not surprisingly, I don't have any improvement, nothing - those light brown spots are exactly as before the treatments. I am pretty sure that after my third treatment they will say that I need more, just to get more money from me. In the beginning the "specialist" said that it's perfect that the sun spots are not too dark; when I mentioned that I don't see any results, another "specialist" said is because the spots are not too dark. Their attitude is unacceptable. I regret the day when I walked into this clinic and profoundly regret that I trusted them and believed that they are specialists and professionals because they are not. Yes, they are nice in the beginning and they leave you a nice impression but once you get to know them you will see how superficial they are. The next step I will take is to make a complaint to consumer protection - more people should be aware of this. read more
