Two stars: one for the cute stuff and the fact that I know how to get here…read more This location seems to be getting worse and worse though every time I come here and is slowly becoming my least favorite location. I don't know why I still come here. Last time I bought something, went to self checkout, and found out the security alarm was still on when I got home, even after I thought someone removed everything. This wasn't the first time it happened at this location. To avoid coming here again, that time I went to a different location to have the alarm taken off and had no issue. I really don't see the point of self checkout at this location as others said. It provides no benefit here and is not that much faster, as you still have to go to another counter to get alarms, security tags and whatever the hell else removed. Plus they want proof of receipt/checking your items here. Today, I figured I'll give it another chance, but when I tried to pay with the cashier to try and avoid any mishaps, the lady says they don't have any bags. I was thinking like what the hell? You're a store, how can you not have bags? I told her I didn't want the item any longer and walked out. This was the last and final straw. Too bad, I'll have to stick with other locations. This location doesn't seem to care about helping customers or doing their job properly.

An employee…read moreat the fitting room told me to wait by the restroom door and said she would come unlock it. I waited for about five minutes, but no one came. I walked back to the fitting room and politely reminded her. She said, "Oh yes, I'll open it now." I went back and waited another five minutes, and once again, no one showed up. It was very frustrating because this was an emergency for my child. In the end, we had to leave the store without making our purchase. I understand that restrooms may need to remain locked, but when an employee tells a customer they will open the door, they should follow through--especially when a child urgently needs to use the restroom. I hope customer service improves so other families don't have the same experience.

(aka Union City) I finally had the time to check this place out on my lunch break - given, I was in an instant desire to let go & get my hands off of some fresh kicks (Air Jordan 4 Retro Bred ReImagined - sz 10), that I had bought over a ShockDrop from their Nike SNKRS app hat my homie hooked up for me not too long ago! Don't let that person know, tho! (cuz I will find out! Haha JK) I used to be somewhat 'so much' involved in the shoe game / hypebeast lifestyle growing up.. I remember so much back in high school, with my part-time job in the library shelving books, yet I'd fork over almost my entire paycheck to get some J's... but then, it sorta just stopped once I graduated high school & went to college - up 'til I was gettin' into my early twenties, and had phased out of it & moved on to 'grown man shoes', as my best friend would say back in the day not too many years back. Like a saying I once heard in my teens, you gotta know where to "deal with the real" AND having done a smooth transaction with Kyle Goudie (the proprietor of this humble abode of a buy/sell/consignment shop) was definitely a foreal, foreal REAL one! Honest, Legit, and Transparent. Thank you for being friendly & patient - especially for someone like me not having a peer-to-peer mobile payment app that allows users to easily transfer funds from a linked financial institution account to another recipient - I did have PayPal, tho! Haha. I originally bought the shoes at a higher price & offered the , but I wasn't trippin' out since it was only a few dollars difference - and with my side hustle as a musician - can't complain to be 'too blessed to be stressed'. #mindfulmatters I definitely recommend ya'll check this local business when you find yourselves on this side of the East Bay!! Don't say I didn't warn you! Once in awhile, you'll find yourselves craving for some fresh kicks, just wanting to browse on some vintage apparel & footwear & other knick knacks, and/or even getting yourself donned in what's "in" to be "it", cuz you know you just can't stay away from being & looking "fit"!

Makes absolutely no sense to me. It always holds up the line and if you are the one looking at the fragrances everyone is on your back. Just, like the men's perfume section is.

1-Star Review - Marshalls at Fremont Hub…read more We have been loyal Marshalls shoppers for years, and my wife especially loves shopping there--particularly now that she is pregnant and we are nesting and looking for baby clothes and other baby-related items. Unfortunately, our experience at the Fremont Hub location today was extremely disappointing, primarily because of the conduct of the store manager, Lourdes. I am a disabled veteran with multiple surgeries involving both ankles and my knee, as well as a back injury. Because of chronic pain from these injuries, I sometimes need to sit and rest while my wife shops. Today, I sat in the furniture/chair area for approximately 6-8 minutes while my wife was shopping nearby. Lourdes approached me and said, "The chairs are for buying, not sitting." I have been shopping at Marshalls for years, and this was the first time anyone has ever told me that customers cannot sit on those chairs. There were also no visible signs indicating that customers were prohibited from sitting on the furniture. What made the situation particularly frustrating was what happened immediately afterward. Once I stood up, a family of four took the same seats. Lourdes walked past the area multiple times and clearly saw the family sitting there, yet she did not tell them to get up. I then asked another employee if I could speak with a manager about what had happened. I soon realized that the manager was Lourdes herself. When she approached, she apparently realized I was the customer who had asked to speak with the manager and then asked the family to leave the seating area. When I questioned her about the inconsistent treatment, she explained that the family was sitting there because they were feeding a baby. While I understand that may have been the reason, the issue is that she had already seen them sitting there multiple times and did not say anything to them, while she immediately approached me and told me I could not sit there. I also explained that I am a disabled veteran and that, because of my injuries and pain, I sometimes need to sit and rest while shopping with my wife. Instead of acknowledging the situation or simply apologizing for the misunderstanding, Lourdes became dismissive. When my wife tried to explain my situation, Lourdes interrupted her and said, "I am not talking to you, I am talking to him." That interaction was extremely disrespectful and unnecessary. My issue is not with the other Marshalls employees. In fact, the employees we encountered at this location have generally been very kind, friendly, and helpful. My issue is specifically with the way Lourdes, the store manager, handled this situation. If there is a store policy that customers are not allowed to sit on the furniture, then there should be clear signage and the policy should be consistently enforced with everyone. If exceptions are made, customers should be treated with courtesy and respect rather than being singled out. I hope Marshalls management reviews this incident and provides better guidance to store managers on consistent enforcement of policies, customer service, and treating customers--including disabled veterans--with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, because of this experience, this location has left us with a very negative impression. 1 star.
