Stopped by to this particular Marshalls because I was in the area. This isn't the best location I've been to given the fact that the clothing selections for kid's seem to be very lacking. Toddler sizes in 5-6 were slim pickings. The store in itself is messy but you can honestly come to expect that from Marshalls & other departments stores. Can't say I'd openly stop by even if I was in the area. This one just isn't for me. read more

My son and I took some items back for a refund. We had receipts for our items. They said it would show up in our bank. My son's refund never showed up. Mine did for a minute. When I checked my bank again the refund wasn't there anymore. Going to have to contact the store!!! JUST BE AWARE OF THIS WHEN RETURNING ITEMS FOR A REFUND!!! read more

I bought a pizza oven that didn't work when I got home, and Marshalls refused to accept the return. Overall, a very bad experience with awful customer service. An associate named Katana was very rude, told me to move in a very high demanding voice while she was placing items back on a rack, When I responded to her with the same attitude she left and another lady kept circling around me saying things I couldn't hear. The lady then approached me saying she was the manager and the Katana lady had told her I was being inappropriate because of the interaction we had. While we were going back and fourth a guy who seemed to be security dressed in all black came by next to them as if I were stealing something made me feel super uncomfortable and gave me an unpleasant feeling. The cashier Abigail ask me to show ID for an item I returned with receipt. She said policy changed. If return is longer than 30 days, even you have receipt, she have to return it as no receipt and record the ID. But she insists new policy is like that. As I know most shop limit no receipt return. If I have receipt, I don't want them count me as no receipt. read more

I have been going here for years with my grandma. Sadly, I will not come back. I bought a chair here and the metal legs split apart by the welded area. I brought up the quality issue to the manager and the manager was not helpful and very insensitive to the fact that my child got hurt while he was sitting on it. She did not even really look at the failed metal frame joints and was so quick to accuse that my child is to blame for rocking back and forth, which never happened. I think it is very unprofessional to gaslight a customer and deal with a quality issue with insensitivy and haste especially since a child got hurt from your product. A chair should be able to withstand normal daily use for more than 30 days, it should be years. We had Ikea stools in my work that lasted over 10 years and I purchased chairs from Target 7 years ago and it is still solid and being used by kids and adults. It is unbelievable that Marshalls only guarantees the quality of their chair for only 30 days and the staff seemed to be trained to believe that chairs should last only a few months. If it breaks after a month, 6 months, 12 months or 14 months, then staff are to assume customers are to be blamed for it and not on the real issue with failed design and substandard materials ?!? If you do not have a big budget but wants trendy furniture, you should not shop in Marshalls. Price should not compromise safety. Go to nearby Target, Costco or Ikea even. They seem to stand behind their product quality for more than 30 days .... Target 1+ years, Ikea 10 years, Costco 10++ years! read more

I had an unused wrapping paper and the employee & manager (or so I think it was the manager) declined my return based on the fact that no stores accept christmas returns (which is very false.. target JUST accepted my christmas returns) I asked why if it's not in the policy and she said it was the stores decision. Very unfortunate they don't tell customers this before purchasing nor do they care to follow their return policy. I went to a different Marshall's and was able to complete the return. read more

Last Friday, my wife went to Marshalls to return a glass pot she'd bought two weeks earlier. She found a crack in it and tried to return it, but the store manager, Lourdes A, accused her of breaking it and refused the return. The manager even involved security to remove my wife from the store. This was unfair and disrespectful, especially since she was able to return the same item at another Marshalls store. I typically go to Marshalls when I have a lot of time and just want to do some thrifty retail therapy or in the worst case looking for a specific thing but I want it cheap and just hope for the best. Today was the later. L O C A T I ON Marshalls is located in the Fremont Hub Shopping Center, on the side where it's facing Trader Joe's and Popeyes and it's next to Old Navy. There's plenty of shared parking with the other establishments in the area. I N S I D E It's your typical Marshalls, but I find that recently they've upped their game in organization. I didn't feel like it was a mess or as much of a mess as Home Goods tends to be. You have your typical seasonal items in the front (looks like actual home goods are the items they're pushing), then shoes, clothing, beauty, then in the back are more home goods. We were here specifically to see if they had any more Christmas ornaments. I know, we are SO late on that one. But like I said, I hope for the best. And luckily they had one small shelf area devoted to all the Christmas goods they had left. We looked through it and luckily found a really cute felt llama ornament and it was SUPER discounted. It's a win in my books. S E R V I C E It's always a hit or miss depending if you need help or not, but they're usually quite busy restocking or organizing shelves. But every time we've checked out, it's been pretty seamless and no issue. O V E R A L L It's the closest Marshalls outside of the larger one at the Great Mall which is a behemoth of a store and a bit more overwhelming. This one is nicely sized, though you may not find what you need, you may find something to just buy cause it's cheap, or just get lucky and find a diamond in the rough. Sometimes it can get really hectic and busy during the holidays so make sure you have time or go during off-peak shopping hours/days. read more

The service is below average, in fact if it was possible I would've gave this store a 0. I was there with my mother when I saw somebody in the store get kicked out forcefully for nothing at all. They threatened her with security, and all of it was because of a "policy change" and that she couldn't return the glass pot with a crack in it. The manager handled it very rudely, my entire family felt threatened by the workers, we saw the way they treated a customer who clearly couldn't speak English very well. Best assumed the workers are only there for money. read more

Best Covid19 precautions I have seen anywhere! They are following all the guidelines. They have made individual cash registers between huge wood and plexiglass so they are all completely socially distanced apart. Someone cleaning carts. Someone counting how many people are going in. They are taking it seriously thankfully and asking everyone to comply. I ran in to get a pot, got one! I really didn't want to linger. I have shopped here for years and know the store well so I knew right where to go. There was a few other shoppers in the store but I kept my distance. Stickers on the floor like most stores have these days reminding everyone else to social distance. You can't get in w/o a mask... Thank goodness! This is a pretty standard MARSHALLS drive up, you don't have to go inside a mall. They have Clothes, Shoes & Homegoods. You CANNOT take a cart out of the store PERIOD! So you've been warned... I seen a woman who was alone with a full cart and they wouldn't let her take her stuff to the car in the cart. I guess you need to take a crew or watch how much you buy... Over the years I have seen this store change a few times. I have seen it very messy in the past. Right now it is extremely clean. Trying to get people to come in. This review occurred on September 10, 2024. Honestly, if I could rate this Marshalls' location a zero I would, but unfortunately I have to give it at least one star. This afternoon during a day of shopping I noticed two women in leadership roles/management on the showroom floor discussing the plans for this location. Every-time customers walked by the two women in leadership roles for Marshalls, they would enthusiastically greet customers with a hello and welcome them. However, I noticed that every time I walk by, or if I was in their personal radius, I was never acknowledged. It became blatantly apparent that they would only acknowledge people who were not of black/African-American descent. I was so close to them that I could hear Lori L., who appeared to be a visiting manager, ask the other woman in Marshalls leadership about her upcoming vacation to Las Vegas. I continued to look at clothes on a rack with intent to purchase, I politely said, "excuse me"because they were obstructing the walkway for me to continue to look at clothes, at that time, Lori L. , looked at me as if I was interrupting her conversation and barely moved initially, but the other manager moved and said a forced "hello". Once they moved over to the adjacent rack to where I was standing, another woman of Caucasian descent walked to the rack, and they both eagerly greeted the customer; which was such a contrast to my treatment. At that moment, I decided to abort my plans and to discontinue any further desire to shop at Marshalls. So I left. Management is not doing me a favor by greeting me, however it would a great reflection of the corporation's core values to feel that all customers are valued and treated in the same regards and respect. read more

I purchased a dress at Marshall's. It literally started falling apart for hours after I wore it, they refused to take it back. It wasn't the cost of item. My mom just had a bitter moment in this Marshall's with an employee here ( that is why the 2 stars less). After her cancer treatment it's been really hard for her to find shoes that don't hurt her toes. She purchase a pair a few weeks ago that unfortunately when she tried them on hurt her toes. She came to this Marshall's to return them since they were never used. A lady by the name of Sarvi with attitude told the cashier that the shoes were used, when they weren't. Refusing for the cashier to take the return. My mom nicely asked for the manager, he saw the shoes , with the tags, with no sign of the shoes being used and nicely agreed on taking the return. Utterly rude cashier. I was behind the plexiglass trying to place my items on the counter when I was told to step back from the counter.. The cashier stepped way back from the counter as well?? How can I place the items on the counter? If the cashier is afraid of catching a virus, he/ she should not leave their house ever. There was a good 6 feet between me and the cashier. Marshalls and TJ maxx managers, please treat customers kindly buy educating your staff on how to interact with customers. Also, as a public health employee, I can for sure state that a lot of viruses etc. can be transmitted thru aerosols and animals i. e saliva. I was able to pickup 2 baby onesies for $1.99 each, which were used as baby shower guestbook 'shirt' sign-in/decorations. It's a cute way to bring in the baby shower theme closer to the mini me that is soon to arrive. Lots of parking. Friendly staff. read more

You know the drill -- Marshalls is your go-to department store to find random knick knacks for the home, or a new outfit. This Marshalls is located in Fremont Hub, so it's convenient to go grocery shopping at Trader Joe's or Safeway, pick up a few things at Target, and swing by Marshalls on your way home. This Marshalls is fairly large and has a decent kitchenwares area. Everything was neatly arranged and I was able to find what I was looking for. Prices were what you would expect for Marshalls/TJ Maxx/HomeGoods. Even though it is currently the holiday season, the checkout process was fairly slow, but that is pretty much standard for these kinds of stores. In sum, I'll be back again if I ever need to pick up any homewares, or maybe even some new clothes. read more

I've discovered that not all Marshalls are created equal. The service here is pretty good, most of time. Every once in a while you'll come across a disinterested employee. But most of the time, the people that work there are upbeat, helpful, and friendly. Now, to the most important reason why I am giving this store five stars. The deals here are amazing. No, that's an understatement. I've gotten so used to purchasing designer denim here that I can't imagine paying more than $30 for a pair of Paige shorts or jeans. That's so crazy considering they retail for at least five times that usually. I used to shop at both Nordstrom Rack and Marshalls, equally. But now, I don't even bother heading to Nordrack anymore for my clothing needs. So I mostly come here to comb the clearance racks. It makes for almost guilt-free shopping since you can almost rationalize the purchase with how much money you're technically saving! ;) I do also love that I can purchase fancy soaps for much less than retail. My cousin loves them and she's impossible to shop for so I stock up on them and gift her a bag full of fancy soaps when I see her every once in a while. Lastly, the home good section is pretty amazing too. Their regular prices are already great. Their clearance section is a steal. I have to admit, I'm excited to have a child or two just so that I can shop in the baby/children's section! Oh- and the shoes! You can't find a better deal on Converse (both slip ons and lace up lo and hi-tops). They're the only shoes the picky bf wears so I'm lucky. Not to mention the women's shoe selection- you can find some amazing stuff every once in a while. It's sort of like the luck of the draw. With all of that said, be sure to check often for deals. This Marshall's always have a nice selection of home stuff. They have a ton of Rae Dunn items and super cute and nifty things for the house. Their snack selection is also quite extensive. The home section is usually nice and orderly which is a major plus. They have nice dishes and decor depending on the season ie. summer, Christmas, Halloween, thanksgiving, Easter. The shoes and clothes sections can get a little crazy as things are super picked over. But sometimes after digging you get some really good finds! I had a big load in my cart and the cashier was super patient and helpful. He wrapped up all my breakables and wasn't in a rush. Thank you! Ok I came in today to shop and what the....??? 3 or 4 Marshall's employees came running out from the office FULL SPEED, causing customers to jerk back and get out of the way. They didnt even forewarn customers or say/shout 'excuse me'. Then 2 men with orange tshirts ran after also....Whomever they were chasing was already outside.....whatever the issue is.......I thought policy states you cannot chase down a thief no matter what. I work at another Marshall's and I know you will be fired on the spot. I was in line and everybody in line was talking about it. Them a police officer comes into the store to talk to the employees. Pls, if managment reviews these comments....explain to me and others why this situation was handled this way. Check your cameras. read more

I always love Marshall's. Great deal for quality items including name brand. They price too high for furniture, though. But....this one specific location....I swear there is always someone stealing. The walk out sith a pile of things kind of stealing. A guy and his dog came in walked out with suitcases and bags. I told the cashier and she said they aren't allowed to do anything or even call the manager that they will be fired immediately. That is unbelievable. Here I am paying almost $200 for my items. Might as well walk out also. Ao we took matters in our own hands and ran out screaming at the man. The security guard in the golf car drove over to him and retrieved the bags. Good Samaritan men ran over and helped also. I went there on my lunch break 2 days later and it happened again. No exaggeration. Marshall's needs a security guard at the door. Something has to change or stop supporting these politicians who make laws that allow for people to get away with it and stores can't do anything legally. Back in the day thieves were arrested. It was my first time here yesterday, and I wasn't particularly impressed or anything. I gave an extra star because the store is frickin' huge and the location is convenient for other shopping locations as well. I would have given it 1.5 stars. They had some cool glassware that I was eye-balling, but ultimately I decided it would be easier to buy it a little closer to home. Their clothing selection wasn't very good, despite their advertised clearance sale. Makeup section was super messy, especially in the clearance section! Half of the things there had been opened and tried on buy other people, and then spilled on the floor. Don't sell used makeup! It's unhygienic! Wouldn't come back, but my friend loves Marshalls, so we might end up coming here again eventually. read more

I did some browsing here on Fri 12/28/07 and got a few things. It's like Ross but maybe a little bit nicer. I found an old style Coach wrist purse that I would only buy if it was a good price, the Marshalls tag was missing. I found a Nine West wallet that I thought was ok for $12.99 Then while waiting in the checkout line found a 3 in 1 Gingerbread shower gel, bubble bath, shampoo 33.8 fl oz bottle regular price $9, then red tagged $2. I thought it was a good deal, then it was marked down again...so it was only $1! Score! When I asked the cashier how much the Coach purse was..I thought I heard her say $7.99..but she insisted she said $79.99! Damn, so I didn't get it..I didn't want it that bad. Also saw some Le Creuset tea kettles but wasn't sure the condition or the price so I skipped it. There's also clothes, cooking pots, books, notebooks, & Xmas cards..saw Xmas cards pretty cheap at $2 a box. Might be worth checking out for deals. Heard the bathroom was at the last door on the Right but didn't check it out this time. read more
