    Fish Tacos
    Maryann S.

Good food. Fish Tacos was 7/10 The cocktail I had was ok. 5/10 The Baja Burritos was tasty. 7/10 I had a very good sauce called jalapeño ranch. 9/10. Great service and cool environment.

    Chill atmosphere.

Food was solid, the tots are crispy and on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Good place on sixth street to grab a drink and watch a game. Harrison was behind the bar and was an absolute pleasure, the kind of bartender who you hope to get when you walk into a new place, I'm from out of town and he made me feel right at home. Great customer service, reasonable prices, yummy food, if you're looking for a relaxing break from the other clubs on Sixth Street, this is the place.

    Lots of TVs for sports.

Pretty good selection of craft beers. Friendly service (I'm talking about you, Sophia!). And amazing wings at 5 for $5. I'll be back!

Steakhouse burger with fries. Lemon pepper and buffalo medium wings.

Steakhouse burger (without bacon) was juicy and delicious! Pairs well with fries and will fill you up! Love the large portion. Atmosphere is great for watching sports and football, I was surrounded by TVs! Dry rub lemon pepper wings were excellent!

BBG's is one of the few sports bars on dirty sixth. It is a great atmosphere and you will be surrounded by TVs. They have your typical sports bar menu items. I tried the nachos and wings. They have several different flavors of wings I highly enjoyed those. The nachos were ok and was a little disappointed on. Also felt the service we got was subpar and they were a little slow to get our items out to us.

We decided on one more treat before the show so we hit 6th street and browed the menu on the outside of some of the bars and it Landed us at BBG. Service was good and the beer was flat. We were drawn in by the Mac and Cheese Egg Rolls/Cheese burger filled. They were pretty tasty and the Chipotle Aioli was a good match. As for the beer I would probably stick to bottled if they had it.

Chicken Quesadilla was ok! Not badly priced either

Came here as our last stop during a walk of the area. It was quiet as opposed to a lot of the bars and the place was clean. Ordered a chicken quesadilla which was big! It wasn't half bad either, but not exactly something to brag about. Staff was decent. Would go back again.

    Burger and Tots

Had lunch here while in town for a conference. It's one of the "cleaner" bars on 6th Street and Actually serves food too. Probably a great place to stay cool, have a few drinks and watch a game on one of their 20 something TVs that are mounted all around the restaurant not just at the bar. No problems with service here, bartender and the hostess were friendly and attentive. I ordered a Burger with tots, honestly when it came out I was not that impressed and not expecting much but it turned out to be a really good burger. It was moist without being greasy and the bun held up to the burger. Tots, can't go wrong with them, were also cooked to a crispy golden brown.

Burger I even didn't try it

The burger horrible nachos too now the worst part is the service. What a lady I went at 3 pm on June 30. Terrible terrible terrible service.

Tots, wings, lemon pepper and Buffalo. Nice and hot, tasty and have the 49er game on!!!

There's this huge building that looks like an unassuming co-working space, but it turns out that there is a whole fun world behind it! They have a great setup: there's a little playground, a paddle board court, corn hole, etc to keep kids entertained and they had a huge screen set up to watch the game. And tents! Thank you for having tents and misters! The ambience is spot-on. Overall, we were happy with everything that we ordered to eat. The buffalo cauliflower bites were a bit too saucy, but nice and smoky. The CM Chopped Salad--which was NOT chopped--had a ton of good veggies and a fun dressing. Our daughter managed to finagle two orders of chicken fingers and those were slightly better than the normal junk that comes out. Cold beers on tap, Aperol Spritzes on a hot day--what is there to complain about? We were glad to be leaving when we did because the place was starting to get slammed and rowdy and not as appealing, so be mindful of the partying witching hour. But for a late afternoon World Cup meet-up with friends, this was a good time. Four stars.

You could get a regular breakfast, a sweet treat or something more lunch like. I had the cinnamon roll and it was delicious. It was huge and just the right amount of doughy. We were definitely underdressed, but the overall vibe is semi-casual with a lot of people dining there before hitting the bars. We got the Smashburger, gumbo, and shrimp Poboy. The gumbo was the best I've ever had. Even though we got the cup size it was very rich and filling. The highlight was our bartender, Rick. He was incredibly attentive, skilled, and even told us a little bit about the history of the place as a former boxing gym. It's hard to find such a down to Earth spot here in Austin and I'm really looking forward to going back.

For reasons that make no sense to any experienced summer festival-goer, the Q2 powers-that-be decided to make this a "no re-entry" event, meaning that attendees are basically locked in the stadium with very few options for relief from the heat. Thank heaven for PointsBet Sports Bar! PointsBet Austin is located inside of Q2 stadium on the north end near the Zebra Gate, up some stairs just to your right as you enter the gate. They have cold air-conditioning, at least one phone recharging station, a few table games, seating for at least 50 people, and standing room for a couple hundred others. Plus, there's a huge horseshoe bar serving plenty of canned and mixed beverages. The whole north wall is floor-to-ceiling windows, providing plenty of natural light. Lastly, there are 18 flatscreens around the walls showing various sporting events and during our concert, a couple were streaming a live view of the concert stage. As expected, prices were "high" (like everything else in Austin these days), but they were in line with pricing available at the other beverage stands outside in the stadium, so we didn't pay any more than we would have out there for the same drink. According to their website, PointsBet opens 3 hours before soccer matches on regular Q2 game days, and it's one of the few air-conditioned places where non-VIP attendees can get a break from the goings-on outside.
