Whether you walk in on a Tuesday night after work or Sunday morning before your day starts you are at Inner Strength Gym because of what it does to you. MMA gyms all over have cool names but they are names that don't mean anything. They are names that are simply meant to pull you in the door and hopefully will look cool on a shirt. Inner strength is something everyone has and it is something people need help remembering they have sometimes. Inner Strength Gym does this, it makes you a stronger person. I'm sure any gym you go to and jump on the treadmill and pump some iron will give you some strength but it cannot give you what you get at a place like Inner Strength Gym. Those walls test you. The mats and bags test you. Your sparring partners tests you and you will have to test yourself. This is not for the weak of heart. What we do makes you push yourself harder and farther than people would do by themselves. You work to find your limits and then you work past them. Anyone who thinks they are too "fill in your story" I can tell you you're wrong. Inner Strength is home to middle school, high school and college students as wells as fighters and trainers from all over New England. There are 30, 40 and 50 year olds who walk through those doors every week and walk out happier people and better people than when they walked in. They make you pay 1 month or entice you to join for 6 months while getting one month free. However, many women do not last for more than a few weeks! GMA pockets the unused tuition. While I was there for 1.5 year before needing a shoulder surgery, as a result of the BJJ classes, I often felt frustrated because I was too often paired off with brand new female students and not progressing as much as I should have. I was a very dedicated student attending 5 BJJ classes per week and took copious notes after each class.. I understand about giving back, but 3 out of 3 foundation classes all with newbies, 2-3 weeks at a stretch was too much. It was not fair to me. After leaving the above review on Google Reviews, GMA/Jason removed my post altogether, so no one can see it. If the above review isn't true, Jason would not need to hide it. Attendees write their names on a sheet of paper. Because of the size of the gym, late arrivals are thrust into the already in progress class, which can be disrupting. I wish I had suggestion on how to make the check in process better and how to address late comers .
