Just said file a police report - not that we will help you find the parcel, we will contact UPS to file a claim nothing. i contacted cops they just gave me an incident report, i asked will they be looking for my device when it comes online - said no. Basically a police report does nothing to find your device, i called Asus informed the same, created a case and was told if it comes online they cant do anything. I completely Blame the sender Canada Computers - 1st - they used a box that was 4 times the size of the mini pc. no reason at all, someone took out the item and resealed the box, 2nd - they put there warehouse address on the senders - this is a big problem - as soon as driver or anyone who gets the parcel will want whats in the parcel as they know it is electronics. Also in general the help and customer service is below zero, i am out of 2,200$ and i am getting answers like file a police report that is it. they dont even want to file insurance claim with UPS, how pathetic is this. People in the future - dont support online purchases - this is very common now. no one cares, i must pad the salary of the CS who answered the phone and did nothing. instead of working towards helping the buyer, i have no help at all but arrogance and my fault. i dont even know how it is my fault.

Most reputable online retailers only charge your payment method once the item ships -- not at the…read moremoment you place the order. Canada Computers, however, charged my credit card for a product that was clearly on backorder. In contrast, Newegg handled a similar situation professionally: they cancelled the order, never authorized the payment, and immediately refunded the warranty I had purchased for the unavailable item. Avoid Canada Computers. Their behavior raises serious concerns. I wouldn't be surprised if a class action lawsuit emerges -- there must be something in contract law that prohibits accepting payment for inventory they don't actually possess. Then again, I'm not legal counsel... just someone who expects basic accountability.

I don't know why I've always been best friends with every machine I've ever met, but the Mac -- oh, boy! Somehow we have no common meeting ground. Heavy sigh. So today I took my trackpad in to Riverdale Mac to make sure the thing's still working and that I can in good conscience sell it (that's how bad it is! I can't even tell if it works or not!) and Kieren looked at it for me, tried it out (yay, it works!) and even told me what would be a decent price to ask for it. Lovely people, infinitely patient, helpful, knowledgeable. They answer every question without making you feel like an idiot, even if, in this one particular small area, you do happen to be one...!

Firstly the person at Riverdale Mac didn't know of the problem and seemed disbelieving that it existed. They were dismissive, condescending, brusque, and only offered a solution which meant buying more product. When I contacted Apple (who knew about the scale of the problem and immediately set up an appointment for me at Genius Bar in the Raton Centre) I was told that Riverdale Mac is not on Apple's list of approved stores.

Its odd to see 20, 5 stars reviews thinking to myself what kind of experience is really going on? Here was mine. Starting with the kicker. I actually DO THIS type of work but i was extremely busy at the time and sent my wife. First Text. Asking about prices. No response. Call. Asked about prices and guarantees. Quotes one price at around 120. Take the laptop in person. Sent my wife because i was busy. Relying on this one man. Sees she have a workstation laptop, raises the hell outta the price to 200. Since I sent my wife and she handed it over oblivious. She comes back says it was 200 to resolder a freaking pin? Let me tell you it will take this man 5 mins to finish this task if hes good. 15 if he takes his time. The parts are literally in the dollar amount. Talking about 15 dollars tops and that's generous. Whats actually wrong with Toronto is people like him taking advantage of young people, college students, older people, and non tech savvy people like my wife. This guy absolutely, unequivocally, ripped me and my wife off. Here i am a year later writing this while taking her same laptop for guess what? Repair. Goodluck!

When I walked in, the store only had 1 other person, checking out. The associate, "Nancy", took my phone, did something to it and asked me to shut off "Find your phone", according to her, to be sure it was my phone--despite it saying "My Name's phone". She must have selected "Forgot my password" because entering the correct password didn't work and I was forced to change my Apple password, which was a pain. To add insult to injury, she said it'd be about 2 hours to replace the battery, in a completely empty store. If they can remind you about your appointment, why can't an empty store let you know it'll take a ridiculous amount of time? Noped out and got it replaced in about 15 minutes at the irepair place down the street with a quality third-party battery. Kept the phone in front of me the whole time, didn't ask me to shut off/turn on anything or share my Apple ID. Perfect!

However, I found it out that the person did not know the price and he had to reference they flyer that I brought in. Strange. What if I didn't bring the flyer? I was looking to buy an external hard drive and I noticed what they advertise on kijiji was $50 cheaper so I automatically assumed it was a bait and switch. However this was not the case, they would honour the sale price but not the method of payment. They claimed that it's store policy to charge you an additional 3% of the total transaction. This is BS! To anyone else that is reading this understand that when a business claims they accept Visa, mastercard or Amex in Canada THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED to charge you a surcharge for using this method of payment. It's time to teach these business owners a lesson, if you happen to come across a business who is impeding your consumer rights by charging a surcharge when using a credit card submit a complaint to the better business bureau. By doing this you are essentially blocking them for attaining any form of credit and also making it more difficult for them to attain any future merchant account providers. To the idiots who manages the store who is reading this, learn the laws in Canada, I can understand that you are new to the country put in the effort to understand the laws and rules when offering credit as a form of payment at your business.
