The first time, both my husband & I had deep tissue massages for 90min. It was my 1st time getting that. Swedish is what I get generally, and I much rather that. So, for my birthday, got that the 2nd time, while my husband enjoyed his deep tissue for 60min. If we went 2 times already, that means we enjoy it for the prices, as long as I get Groupon prices. Had Mia & Monica the 1st time, and Even & Yanni the 2nd time. Yanni said don't purchase the Groupon, they'll match the prices.

It seems they've recently opened, as the facilities look new and clean (it changes a little bit when you wander into the back and the rooms; I don't recommend needing to use the bathroom here). To my luck, they accommodated us an hour earlier than scheduled. The rooms are dark with small beds and soft blankets. The furniture and wall decorations are dated, and the rooms for different clients are separated by a fabric sheet. Not the best, but I'm glad we were the only ones here at the time of booking. During my massage, I felt that my masseuse did a lot of same stuff. I got my elbows and forearm worked on a lot, which was cool but not necessarily what I wanted. There was a language barrier so I couldn't really say anything. I was surprised to receive hot stones resting on my back at some point, which turned into a hot stone rub. They then put oil everywhere - like, EVERYWHERE. The Chinese massage oil was mild, almost diluted with no real smell, but I preferred the lack of potency. Despite the language barrier, I did feel comfortable throughout the massage - out of my first three massages, this was the least painful and ticklish. My fingers and toes also got cracked. The background noise was piano music over water with constant chirping sounds which became rather annoying. The result of this massage was great, though it was more of a relaxing great than a massage that fixed problem areas. I had gone on a hike right before the massage, and the massage made me feel much looser and better. At the end, they offer you lemon flavored water and candy, and request for your tip. I do wish they didn't watch you as you put in the tip, as that pressure feels unnerving. While I enjoyed the massage, I wish I had gotten results with more impact, and also prefer better facilities.

The massage itself was way more intense than I anticipated--definitely not your average relaxing spa treatment. But Jasmine talked me through every step, explaining what she was doing and helping me understand exactly where my body was holding tension and inflammation. It hurt--but in the best, most productive way. Now? I'm addicted. I try to go at least once a week. Once you check-in for your appointment(all done via their mobile app), you head back to their comfortable waiting room. I have always been greeted within 5 mins of sitting down. The rooms are all pretty similar in layout. There is a bench where you discuss the areas you'd like to address and this is also where you undress and hang your clothes. There is an aromatherapy scent and music preference you choose, and then it is recorded in their system for future visits. The rooms are all nicely consistent in temperature. Once you're on the table, there is a buzzer on the bottom where you let your therapist know you're ready to begin.

Verona Massage is located on El Camino, which can be hectic, but there is free parking in the back, and once you enter the building, it gets a little bit quieter. There are some cool crystals and geodes on display in the main building. There are 2 rooms for Verona Massage, and it is not a spa or foot massage place. Shirley takes appointments, and I am so grateful my husband booked me one with her. It felt very private, relaxing, and I didn't feel rushed at all. This was my second time getting a prenatal massage, and I can hands down say that this was better than the one I got in Hawaii. She focused on my knots that I didn't even know I had! I appreciated the quiet environment and calm she creates. She has great technique and applies just the right amount of pressure, although she checked in on the pressure as needed. New Ownership and Management…read more I have had the opportunity to visit Aroma Spa three times since the transition to new ownership last summer. Each visit has been a very pleasant occasion, and I will return as a regular customer. I have lower back issues that have been a problem for years, and my preference is for deep muscle work to relieve tightness. Remarkably, the massage therapist was able to trigger-point my tension areas and relieve pressure in my hips, mid-back and lower back. I also enjoy back walking to delve deeper and really target the problem spots. The session was blended with firm pressure as well as a very relaxing, Swedish-style stress relief finish. I enjoy the environment because it is quiet and has a pleasant and inviting scent. The new team is warm, friendly, and very customer-focused. I appreciate good craftsmanship and the hard work that is required to be a good masseuse. As such, my gratuities are generous, and there are never any issues.
