We just recently discovered the awesome bike trails at Gulf State Park after many years of coming to Gulf Shores. This bike shop makes it so easy to rent high quality bikes right near the trail head to the park. They offer great service, convenient location and a great selection of bikes. Come when they open in the morning so there are more options to pick from and it's not as hot to bike. I highly recommend the ebike if you are more into seeing as much of the park as possible at a leisurely pace without having to worry about sweating for it (And they are fun!) If you are hauling kids, they have attachments for those, but they can only be used with traditional bikes. Friendly and helpful staff. Come check them out! read more

We love this place!! My family rented bikes for a day. The friendly and professional staff @ Beach Bike Rentals fit us on our bikes, outfitted us with helmets and baskets and gave us maps to the most wonderful nature preserve which has a trailhead virtually next door to the bike shop. My husband and my kids and I had so much fun riding around the preserve! Then, instead of turning in our bikes, the staff said we could keep them until the following morning. We had so much fun riding that day that we came back the next morning and ride for 2 more hours until we had to turn in the bikes @ 9a. So you might find a cheaper bike rental place, but you won't find a better one! The location by the park is fantastic, the bikes here are pristine and you'd have a super hard time ever finding better customer service. Mr Garlan, Miss Ashley and Mr Mark are all awesome! My husband and I rented two cruisers and rode around the park for 30 miles during our 24 hour rental. We had the best time! Mr Garlan sized our bikes and gave us great tips and tricks to enjoy the day. We enjoyed a 10 day stay in the Gulf Shores area, but the day we rented bikes turned out to be our favorite experience of the trip. We even bought an Electra bike bell from the store to take home as a souvenir. This is a great store and worth every bit of 5 stars. We'll be back next year! read more

The website says to give them 24 hours for an online reservation, but just call them up and they'll get you set. I called them up on a last minute whim and am glad that I did. The people who run this place are super friendly and welcoming, and they have quality bikes. There is a trailhead to the backcountry trails really close by. It couldn't have been an easier process, fun morning. read more

This place is awesome!! The guys that run this shop are so nice, and super helpful and hospitable. I was impressed and really grateful we stumbled upon this place. They told me all about the nearby trails in the national park, and they got us two adults and my little guy (3 year old) all set up in the baby seat in back. He loves riding back there. These guys were really knowledgeable and I felt safe having little dude's seat be set up by him. Bikes were comfortable and smooth. We had a great ride and rode all the trails and wooden bridges for an hour and a half. We road ten miles, and the bikes calculate how far, how fast you went, etc! So cool! Even though it was hot out (this was a few weeks ago), the trails were pretty shaded some of the way, and the wind from bike riding made it perfect. Bring lots of water and some snacks and take off! Beautiful place to ride!! We'll definitely come back! PS- we stayed in Gulf Shores and made the ten min drive over to them in Orange Beach. Worth it! read more

Beach Bike Rentals is my new favorite place. I had to drag my very reluctant 11 and 12 year old girls with me in hopes of exploring Gulf State Park via bike. BBR was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. The bikes looked brand new and were easy to handle. We ended up biking through the enormous park for more than 3 hours and ate at the cute park restaurant as well. Bonus: the 11 and 12 year old actually had a great time! We give this business 5 stars because they earned it! The ladies in the shop went over and above to provide information and to assure that we had what we needed before heading out on our bike adventure. We visited OB the first week of Nov. so there were not a lot of other tourist. We loved the quiet & solitude at that time of year. We rode the trails in the national park, Florida refuge, nearby lakes & marshland. The map was helpful but the signs along the path were difficult to navigate... or maybe the problem was the navigator. At any rate, we rode 26+ miles and only quit because we were tired. Had we had more time the next day, we would have ridden again before returning the bikes. It's awesome that they allow a 24 hr. period. Great value! read more

This place is great. Renting bikes from here and biking around the adjacent park were the highlights of our beach trip. Many of the boardwalks that you can bike on are brand new and a lot of fun. Came to Orange Beach from GA just to get away. Found this bike rental place and thought we'd give it a try. The man at the shop was awesome! He was very helpful, and nice. The trails he sent us on were beautiful! Great experience, will definitely be back :-) My only concern was the part of the trails where we rode through the camping grounds. Once we passed the camping grounds, there was nothing but regular roads and cars driving fast. Scared the crap out of me since I had my 9 year old with me. But other than that, loved it!!! read more
