I was very happy with my initial bike purchase and I still love my bike. On about my 7th ride, one of my pedals fell off the bike. I brought it in for my one month tune-up, asked them to reattach the pedal, and brought the $64 tracker that I had bought from them (that they graciously offered to install). When I got the bike back, the tracker didn't work. I researched how it was supposed to be installed and found that it was installed backwards (with the sensor facing away from the wheel) and was way too far from the wheel to track anyway. Obviously, the person who installed it at the bike shop had no idea how it worked and did not test it to confirm that it worked after installation. My friend reinstalled it correctly. The same friend fixed the bell that I had bought from Beach Bike also, because it fell apart when I was riding. When I called about the tracker, they attributed the problem to employee lack of attention to detail and did not seem to think it was much of a problem that a BIKE shop did not install a tracker (or pedal?) correctly. Took my old Trek Hybrid in for service. I had broken spokes which caused the wheel to be bent slightly. Needed new tires front and rear. And my brakes needed adjustment. They fixed the wheel with new spokes and straighten it out. Put fresh tires and tubes. Adjusted everything. Very fair. Great work done very reasonably. They are very nice and easy to work with. I was happy that they did not try to sell me anything I did not need. They got me rolling again at a very fair price and very quickly. (2days) I hope I won't need repairs for a while, but if I do, I'm coming back to them. Thanks! read more

Absolute Top Notch dealer. Mike and his crew are helpful and knowledgeable, while at the same time not smothering the customer. Recommendations are tailored to the customer's riding style and usage, rather than simply trying to sell the most expensive bicycle available. Prices are fair and appropriate for the market, and specials are great ! Selection is also consumer friendly, whether you are seeking very high end , or a more budget conscious selection. We bought our two mountain bikes here several years ago. Like most people, we were gung ho on using them and rode a lot when we got them home. Then work, chores etc got in the way and our sad bikes collected dust. But we both decided to get back into a more healthy lifestyle and dusted them off. When we first bought them, Beach Bicycles prices were comparable to other local shops. We purchased here because we found the staff to be helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They weren't trying to push their higher end bikes on us and provided us with a happy median in price and ride needs. The shop also has a good variety of upgrades and accessories for all levels of riders. They also provide full service repairs for your bike. Which was badly needed during our last ride. We were in mile four and headed up a steep hill. Kim downshifted and bam, the chain slipped (probably due to fact we haven't serviced our bikes since we bought then) and snapped the derailleur off! Long story short, we got the patient to the bike emergency room and two days later, she is back on the road. The repair price was surprisingly reasonable and I had mine tuned up while there. So happily, we are back and my bike is rolling as well as the day we bought them. We reccomend this shop for your bike needs. read more

Worst Experience EVER! My rear shifter was only selecting 3 out of 11 gears, so took it in. I was told it could take a week (OK it was close to 4th July). 2 weeks later they phoned explaining it needed a new shifter. $450 they would have the part in 2 days - extra $10 for express delivery. 4 days later I called to find out they had ordered the wrong part. This goes on with another 2 weeks of excuses. When it was finally ready I was out of town so my wife picks it up. Took it out this morning for my first ride in 4 weeks... The ULTIMATE INSULT - 4 weeks without my bike, $450 out of pocket and i still only have 3 selectable gears. PLEASE DON'T GO NEAR THIS BUNCH OF BUFFOONS! read more

Excellent service shop. Bought my Specialized bike there. They've worked well with me as I've grown near the end of its challenge range, offering good suggestions for tuning and extending it. They gone the extra mile for me in servicing my Trikke. Not a bike but the third wheel didn't phase them. They figured out how they could help me - like the brakes repair and most recently an issue with a key part of the cambering structure. *That* was a challenge they tackled quite well. 5 star service? So was very impressed with the friendliness and nice stock for a while but going for a simple spoke repair, yep rwmoved the wheel and pedaled on my other bike there..."I broke 5 spokes trying to replace it"...new wheel quoted almost as muchas I paid for the bike...I smell deep DEEP BS...the disc or spoke was never removed...sorry my 2014 26" Specialized Hardrock is a "DINOSAUR"...unless you're rocking a $3000 bike, don't expect a lick of respect from this place. We went in to get a new tube for my bike tire. We forgot to check the size before we left the house but figured the staff could look it up. When we went in saying we needed a new tire tube and the bike I have, he said he couldn't help us unless we knew the size. He then proceeded to ride around the shop on a Specialized bike. Staff was not helpful at all and unprofessional to be riding around on a bike in the shop with customers present. We just looked up my bike model on our phone and voilá! - the tire size and tube size was right there. No thanks to the staff, we left with the tube. Lousy bikes that barely ride and are questionably safe . The bike i rented needed to be serviced . Honestly i could have garbage picked this bunch of bikes ,the selection was poor . Limited hours of business, staff that's just not that accomadating. I was disappointed and could not go the distance I had planned.. My friends and I rented bikes from the store. We were a bit leery after reading the review online. We found the store and the people in the store to be quite helpful. The store was neat and clean and the bikes they gave us were really nice beach cruisers. They gave us two locks for the bikes. They also gave us a map and suggestions. We were only charged $11 for the whole day. I thought that was a really great deal. The bikes were all in very nice shape. We all had fun. I highly recommend this store. read more
