Growing up in Carlsbad, this place has always been a staple in Carlsbad village! They have great smoothies and açaí bowls. I ordered the Bahia bowl today and it was great. They use an açaí sorbet which I love. Wait wasn't too long on a Sunday. They have plenty of seats inside and some outside. Bowls come out to be around $11 though so they are getting more expensive. read more

I stopped by for a "quick" smoothie, but the service was surprisingly slow. It wasn't very busy, yet the wait time didn't match the number of customers, and others seemed a bit frustrated as well. I ordered the Awesome Açaí smoothie, which was just okay. On the plus side, they have plenty of tables and even games for both kids and adults, which is a nice touch. My young kids love this place because there's like five variations of a strawberry smoothie. Talk about customizable! The açaí bowls are quite good, and service feels local and friendly. While it may not be the quickest place to be in and out, there's also seating and a plethora of games to keep you busy while you wait. Parking is a little nutty close by, but Beach City in the middle of a very walkable section of the Village, so it's best you just commit to the stroll over from an easier parking spot. read more

The kids and I love hitting up the goodies here at Beach City! This spot is located in the "downtown" region of Carlsbad. And we hit this spot up fairly regularly...especially if it's the morning/mid-morning hour! . Everyone gets some version of an açaí bowl and honestly we haven't tasted a "bad" one yet! Highly recommend. It's conveniently located along the main road stretching west to east in Cbad (Carlsbad Village Drive - locals still call it Elm), and is also situated on a corner where just across the street is a parking lot -no fee. You'll find a handful of other cool spots to check out as well as a premier dining spot within the same block! But that's for another review/post. This is about Beach City Smoothies. I flat out cannot get enough açaí bowls in my system to squash the craving but coming to Beach Coty a few times per month certainly helps! Cute little smoothie spot in the village. I got the strawberry peach mango tango smoothie with the frozen yogurt which made it creamy. Very yummy and not super sweet. The pitaya bowls with the extra fruit are decent sized and really yummy with the blackberries and mango in it. The customer service was good the staff was very friendly. It's also dog friendly. There is plenty of parking right across the street. Several cute little shops you can walk around as well. read more

Went here for a large blended juice drink. Quick service, clean establishment and warmly furnished. Friendly staff, upbeat and happy to be there. Made my day. I asked the lady fruit only no syrup and asked if there was syrup in it and she said no. Then I saw her pump syrup in the cup and mix other fruit in. We tasted it and could totally tell. Not real fruit. A syrup mess. read more

I love this place. My husband and I went on our first date here! But I have tried other açaí bowls in the area and nothing beats the one here. I just picked up a Bahia bowl, added peanut butter. It already comes with fruit and granola and the açaí is great quality. I also got a pretzel and the total price was $14. It's not the cheapest, but I have gotten açaí bowls from other places that don't come with good toppings so you have to pay to add them and it'll end up coming to around $20 which is a rip off. We visited this place this morning. The food was good, however the customer Service was horrible. There was 3 females working and each of them did not smile, not friendly and acted like they did not want to be there. I had a few of my family members say something to me and we all were in agreement. It was a very dry kind of vibe and overall terrible. We will not be going back just because of this experience. We came early in around 845am and there was no one there. We ordered the beach city acai bowl which came with an acai blend topped with some granola, banana, strawberry, mangos and blueberries. It originally came with blackberries but we were able to switch it out for blueberries instead. The blend was alright, it has a very subtle tart taste to it which I would prefer for a more tart taste. Overall, the acai bowl was good but wished they would have more toppings to go with it. When we left, there was a really long line. And there was plenty of street parking outside the shop. read more

The portion sizes are SAD. They gave us a tiny little plastic container with maybe less than 3oz of açaí in it, granola, and a little fruit. You can quite literally see how small the cup is and how little acai is actually in the cup. It didn't even reach the top of the container WITH toppings and had the balls to charge $8 for it. We love Beach City! Truly some of the best açaí bowls we've had. It's our go to place while in town. When they're busy it can be a bit of a wait, but it's worth it! The fruit is always super fresh, they use the best açaí base- truly delicious. Best açaí bowl I've had in a while! So so glad I came across this place in Carlsbad. They had so many options to choose from smoothies, juices, and smoothies. They don't need your business.... My family and I have spent thousands of dollars here over the years. We will not be returning. Stood there in the front of the line (no customers)for 5 min while 4 people looked at me and faked like they were busy. Someone else walks in they call him down to a closed register on the other side of the room. After I give them the wtf look the older one said, I will help you in a minute. Never again, had I not see her clandestine Roy calling him down, I would probably still be standing there. Clear they don't need the business. read more

I've been a regular here since the place has opened and I must say Beach City Smoothies is AMAZING! This is the only place i've found that focused on all fruit smoothies and suprisingly enough, they taste great. The service is fast and friendly and it's great b/c its more than just smoothies. They've got games for my kids and photos of all their regulars plastered all over the shop. And the owner is always hanging out in the dining room chatting with customers. I usually go there for lunch to get their salad bar and a smoothie.The salad bar is packed with amazing toppings and dressings and plus its super cheap! I've never had their acia bowls but they look amazing. I have to give Beach City smoothies a 5 star only because they don't give you an option for ten. read more

I refuse to give Beach City Smoothies my money after seeing the way the manger spoke to the employees. I have never seen such disrespect to such sweet girls. I feel horrible for the people working there. There was so much negativity being sent to the staff from her I felt uncomfortable being inside. She should be much more appreciative to her staff. read more
