At one point he mentioned that he's proud of the portions because he thinks a lot of vegan resturants tend to skimp a little. He was absolutely right to be proud. I had the French Dip and it was honestly one of the best sandwiches I've had. The stek was sliced thin and really tasty, the cheze in the sandwich was perfectly gooey (which is rare for plant based cheze), and the aujus was the real star. I've honestly had nothing like it before. It was also a really hearty portion and super filling. My wife had the Jambi sandwich -- a hash brown wafflle with fried chikun, sunflower swiss, seitan bakon between two pieces of french toast -- plus chili fries on the side. The sandwich itself was impressively big and definitely lived up to the owner's point about portions. We've both been vegan for about 10 years and always appreciate finding places doing creative food like this. I loved my blt. The two Caesar salads for the table disappeared quickly because their dressing is unbelievable! Let's see .... what didn't we eat is probably smarter than what did we eat. Beet ketchup, The C Word (braised cabbage), a couple of cronic sushi rolls, and there was a special lemon creme brûlée. Everyone enjoyed everything they ate, including my almost 3 year old grandson (they brought out a specially sliced fruit bowl for him). They offered many choices for kids, but he just wanted fruit. They have a very unique concept of renewable farming and sustainable gardening. There's plenty of indoor seating (the interior is lovely) and outdoor seating that integrates with the garden. The garden is available for customers to walk around. It's amazing to see how they've efficiently grown so much in a limited space. The Plot also has $5 plants you can purchase for home-gardening. Their eggplants are in season. Freshly harvested from the garden, I tried the panko crusted charcoal roasted eggplant - it was beautiful, delicious, creative and everything wonderful packed into a dish. It was topped with a very unique, naturally salty plant called the asparagus of the sea (I've literally never had it anywhere else besides here). I also tried the c word (which is wine braised cabbage), the beet ruben sandwich, and the mushroom toast. Everything was SO GOOD! The service is also on another level.
