We visited Beach House Grill during our weekend staycation in Kingsville and really enjoyed our experience. We started with the soup of the day ($6), which was simple, warm, and comforting. The Coloda chicken sandwich ($17) was very well made and incredibly juicy -- you could literally see the juice dripping down, and the portion was generous. The perch tacos ($20) came with three tacos, and the fish tasted fresh and delicious. Our favorite dish was the Beach House pasta with shrimp ($25). It tasted authentically Italian, well-seasoned, and the portion was large enough for two people to share. For drinks, the Mozza pickle Caesar ($11) was very unique with strong vodka, hot sauce, and pickle flavors, while the Happy Mermaid cocktail was light, refreshing, and beautifully presented. Great food, generous portions, and a relaxed lakeside vibe. Definitely a spot we'd recommend when visiting Kingsville. read more

This restaurant has a lot going for it and is a mainstay with the locals. I enjoyed the funny signs at the booths. The food was pretty good, as well as the service. However, my coffee was terrible and tasted like dish soap. That put a damper on the experience. Perhaps it was an off day in the kitchen. read more

4 1/2 Stars, based on breakfast. After a previous disastrous visit, we waited a bit and thought we'd give it another go. Thankfully, our waitress Amanda was stellar..far superior to the staff member whom we had last visit (and shouldn't be working with the public). We were greeted and seated right away, and Amanda brought over menus and took a drink order. When she returned a few minutes later with them, we ordered our food. Food was out quickly (it was quiest-ish). She was fast and efficient, although she was covering several sections. I ordered the peameal bacon breakfast. I'll go out on a limb and say their breakfast home fries rank up there with the best I've ever had dining out. They're seasoned perfectly and are delicious. The person I was with raved about them as well. Peameal was a generous cut, lightly seared..very tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast. I've been here for far too many breakfasts to rate it any lower. Food quality is always way above average, and the price point is excellent. Toss in $5 Mimosa's, and you have a hit! Staff are consistently fantastic. I referenced an issue a few reviews ago regarding tea and hot water....I was having an off day, and now I totally get the waitstaff's humour (this is me eating crow). We now joke about it when we see each other. I've brought out of town friends here who were stunned by portion size vs. price/quality (they're used to paying $18 for the same in Toronto). Best home fries in Kingsville, IMHO. Kudos all around. read more

Took the family here for our 4th time.  Upon entering, noticed the same strange smell I had noticed on an earlier review, but to a lesser extent.  My wife pointed out that she believes it's the paint.  Kudos to her and her nose.  I think she's absolutely right.  This should go away in a few more weeks.  The place was packed so we got the area near the hostess/bar computer.  The temp was quite cool inside so we had to eat with our coats on and each time the door was opened, another shot of cold.  Pick the adjacent room to eat in if you have a choice. My son loves the cod dinner and gets it every time, while my daughter loves the chicken and waffles (when she eats it, she says she's in heaven).  This last time I tried the chicken Parm.  I'm not sure if the chicken is breaded cutlets or if it's hand pounded and then breaded.  The thickness was very consistent indicating to me that it may be a cutlet.  Either way though, it was good.  Lots of pasta to go with it and the marinara sauce was excellent.  It was served VERY hot, which I love.  My wife had the pizza burger again.  She loves them but this time the meat was raw and cold inside.  No problem, the staff replaced it for her and sent out a basket of complimentary donuts as a result.  Very professional way to handle this type of situation.  To err is human but how it's handled makes all the difference in the world.  They do it right!  This experience was a good one overall. Unfortunately, some patrons have a difficult time digesting honest reviews and thus lash out at the person doing the reviews, right Jeff?  Maybe one day, people can feel free to give honest reviews without being subject to criticism for doing so.  It won't stop me since even the owner agrees that th this.   Don't let the "Jeff's" of the world hold you back. read more

The very best mozzarella sticks in the world. Thick house made fried mozzarella with delicious marinara sauce or ranch dressing. Great diner food. Generous breakfast servings. Quick service. Excellent homemade meatloaf. read more

I have been going there for a number of years. Even my Dentist from Windsor likes going there. I believe new owners are a young couple now and I notice no change and still an excellent place to go. The variety of food is very good. Something to please everyone. Wait staff are very good and accommodating. My wife always likes to order a Mimosa to start! Keep up the good work! read more

Food was yummy. Fries were good fresh and hot. I got the island wrap with grilled chicken it was gas very yummy. Service was good and I was hungry and impatient and still thought the service was good. The vibes were great I loved the outdoor patio and lights it gave florida beachy vibes. Came for breakfast with my sister a few days ago. Heard so much about this place. Came around 9:30am-10:00am. I was told this place was usually very busy, but there were very few patrons in the restaurant during this time, as well as a few people out on the patio. I ordered the the Salmon Eggs Bennie, and a coffee, substituted the home fries for tomatoes, as I don't like potatoes. The dish came out hot, and it was absolutely delicious and I devoured everything on my plate. I love smoked salmon and most breakfast places don't offer this, so when it's on the menu, this is what I order. The ambiance, was quaint and quiet, when I was there, and although the waitresses were all over the place and usually taking a bit longer to clear our table, and refill our drinks, the service was still great, can't wait to come back for the lunch menu in the beautiful town of Kingsville. read more

Great location for breakfast (that runs long after the breakfast time has past), lunch or dinner. Had the fish and chips, formerly known as Oh My Cod. Huge tender and flaky fish in a crunchy batter. One piece is massive, two would be for sharing or taking home. Another favourite is the Chicken Rancher. The crunchy fried chicken breast is so much bigger than the bun, dressed with lettuce, tomato, ranch dressing and bacon. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. This was an excellent experience. I was blessed with a charming and helpful waitress named Page who recommended the perch. We heard lots of good things about this place, so decided to check it out. Both of us had the 3 piece perch dinner. It came with lots of options for sides. My wife had mashed potatoes with gravy, and I had the loaded fries. The dinner also comes with coleslaw, and garlic toast. The menu is pretty big so the choices can be a little overwhelming, but the staff is very friendly and accommodating, so there's no pressure to choose right away. This place is fun and relaxing. The wife and I love the Chicken and Waffles and the fish tacos. They are usually very busy on the weekends around dinner time so get there early. Their breakfast is delicious. I had the farmers omlette and it was great tasting and very satisfying. The ambience is laid back and fun. Staff are very friendly. I mainly eat in for breakfast. I sometimes go with a fussy eater and likes eggs Benedict and loves them there. I had a problem once with missing take out items missing. Two orders of Fries missing w/gravy. Manager was excellent about it. It's very popular for Sat and Sunday breakfast! After going to the Talk Ships we happened on the Beach House Grill. Food was fantastic and the service was beyond our expectations!
