Kiwanis Club Thrift Shop Ft. Myers Beach 5-30-25 Stopped by to nose around to see what they had in stock. This store was clean and neatly laid out. There were many more items in this store than I thought. They had just about everything packed inside you could imagine. I did think prices were just a tad higher than other thrift stores we visited in the area. People were friendly and quickly answered any questions we had. If you're looking for a thrift store to visit, give this one a try for sure. I bet they have just what you're looking for. I give this store a 4 out of 5 stars. I visited this location while in town and honestly, I was a little disappointed. The space itself is huge and well laid out--so you expect it to be full of great finds--but most of the items felt very picked over, outdated, or just low quality. A lot of the furniture and decor felt like it had been there a long time, and some things had visible wear, tears, or damage that probably shouldn't make it to the sales floor. I'm not from the area, so I'm not sure if donations are limited or if the good items just sell quickly, but I feel like they could really improve the quality of what they accept. It might help to partner with better donors or even hire a PR or community outreach person to attract higher-quality contributions. Price-wise, it felt a bit overpriced for what was being sold. For example, I saw lamps that were cool but priced too high considering the condition. My friend did find a t-shirt and a pair of pants--but only because women's clothing was 50% off. My big "find" was a single $1 taco holder. I went through all the sections I usually love browsing: kitchenware, linens, blankets, decor, pillows, furniture, and housewares. Most of it felt dated, old, or just not very appealing. Since we're in Southwest Florida, I expected more beachy vibes--like rattan, wicker, or coastal-themed decor--but there was almost none of that. What they do have a lot of: seashells. Ziploc bags full of loose seashells for $6 each--if that's what you're looking for, you'll be in luck. On the positive side, the store doesn't smell musty or dirty like some thrift stores can. My friend mentioned that specifically, which is a plus. But overall, based on the quality, selection, and pricing, I don't think I'd come back--and I wouldn't really recommend it, unless you're specifically hunting for seashells. read more

We've been to ALOT of thrift stores in the area and this has become our favorite. The staff is always friendly. The prices are reasonable and the selection is great! (Especially furniture). They've delivered twice for us and have been very professional and friendly. read more

The owner was extremely nice. He gave me and my buddies some balls to play with, they only costed a smile. Great service.

The prices here are way too high. Women's shirts were $20. They were all used. Appliance prices were very high. You would do better buying new things for the prices they're charging . DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! read more

Clean and well organized. Not a huge selection. Some items are overpriced, but overall ok pricing (better with their half-off sale!). Owner's daughter was very nice and they have free gifts for kids! read more

looking for a bunch of terribly overpriced crap, come here, you'll find it. i've never seen a thrift store so expensive and the stuff is in rough condition, not worth what they're charging....we were there 5 minutes and were out. total waste of time read more

This is a newly added, second location of the Beach Kiwanees Thrift Stores. It has a fair sized woman's clothing inventory and a fair amount of used furniture for sale, along with household items, books, small appliances. The prices were very expensive, too expensive for a thrift store. Even with the 50% off sale that they were running while I was there, the discounted price was still going to be way more than it should be for a thrift store. I was disappointed because there were some items I wanted to purchase that were still too expensive at half off. This locaiton is open Monday thru Saturday from 9AM to 5PM. They were supposed to close at 5pm. We got there at 4:53 and only had one quick item to look for that would have taken 2 minutes to find The man working ran to the door to slam it shut and locked us out and we couldn't even get in. We then called to tell him we were really disappointed and he hung up on us after saying that "you should have gotten here earlier". Very, very rude! Will not go back!! read more

Way too overpriced and not a huge selection/variety of clothing. The items are literally comparable to a yard sale, a bunch of cheap clothing store items sold overpriced. Even the furniture was way way way too overpriced... some of it could've gone to the curb for free but instead it was marked up. I'm a huge thrift store girl from Minnesota and was excited to try this store out but left very disappointed! read more

A true thrift store with second hand stuff. Wide assortment of items here. Lots of clothes, nick nacks,appliances,and some furniture. Everything is donated and the selection changes daily. Not many upscale items here but good value if they have what you are looking for read more

I loved this store years ago in it's old location with former management. New management over prices through the roof and to top it off, they're not pleasant to deal with. Silver lining is they have a nice bathroom, so if you gotta go, this is a nice stop. read more

I was expecting this store to pick up furniture donation on a certain day as new furniture was already delivered. They refused to take furniture because it wasn't up to its high thrift store standards. The furniture was OK for renters to pay $400 per night. Really put me in a bind and driver was rude as well. Never again. I would pay rather than deal with this place. read more

Today, I attempted to drop off a very nice men's 21 speed bike and some very expensive entertainment electronics, a Kenmore vacuum cleaner and several boxes of misc. goods. These items included a complete Pioneer laser karaoke system with cables, mikes and 18 new and nearly new laser disks. When I first arrived I went inside to get instructions on where to put my items. As I entered I spotted a very cute Christmas figurine of a cartoon style angle. I asked one of the workers how much it would be and she said she wasn't going to price it. She asked one of the other workers to price it and that worker said no she would not stop and price it either. At first I thought they were kidding but then everyone stopped talking to me and returned to what they had been doing. I never was given a price. The male manager who came out to assist me was rude from the beginning. As he looked into the rear of my Yukon he announced that they do not take monitors or computer components of any type and was very put out that I would bring such an item. I said that was okay. I asked him if could I throw it in his 1/2 full dumpster? His answer was NO! He then informed me that it cost him money to have it emptied. The same man was helping me unload my Yukon. As he was carrying some of my items into the store one of the female staff members came out and appeared very put out that I was bringing more items. She even asked me why I was bringing them more stuff? She then rudely informed me that they were out of room inside and that my items would have to be left on the grass. This was my 3rd bad experience with the Fort Myers Beach Kiwanis Store out of my last 3 drop offs and it will be my last. I collected all my items that had been unloaded, even the ones that had been carried into the store, and drove them to the Salvation Army drop off located on McGregor Blvd., 1/4 mile south of Colonial Blvd, where they were very happy to receive my items. I came away from the Salvation Army with a good feeling verses feeling like I was imposing on the Kiwanis staff for donating. The Salvation Army will get all of our donations from here on out. read more

Since 2007 we have donated a number of items of furniture to this organisation. Over the years we continued to donate as we live within sight of their premises and thought we would be a convenient point for their collection. Wrong. I called today before 9 am to finalize a collection of several items of furniture all in excellent and very sale-able condition. I requested an approximate arrival time and was told this was impossible. I accepted this without question and waited until after 2 pm when I was called and told the furniture was not being collected owing to a misunderstanding. I must say any misunderstanding was on their part not mine. I was told the truck was still full of furniture after being on Sanibel and had to be emptied before being loaded for deliveries tomorrow. Collection of our furniture was refused (even though we are within half a mile of Kiwani premises) and it was suggested we should reschedule after we spent the day waiting for them to arrive and cancelling our arrangements to fit in with their schedule. No chance in this World... I removed the furniture from out front of our apartment and carried it to our dumpster in several trips. I am on my own as my wife is disabled and one item was especially heavy but I managed. Within an hour the furniture had gone. Good luck to it's new owners we hope you will be very happy with it. Hard luck to Kiwanis you missed out on some valuable income. I will spread the word Kiwani's with my neighbours and suggest a more suitable donation via the Salvation Army. read more
