They…read more& the new Brock Cancer Center are located on the southeast corner of Virginia Beach Boulevard & Kempsville Road. Both share a large parking garage. Entrance with a traffic light is located both on Virginia Beach Boulevard, which the buildings face, & Kempsville Road. The location is also easily accessible from I-264. The handicapped parking is extremely convenient & plentiful at the Leigh Orthopedic Surgery Center. The spaces face the entrance & continues around each side of the building. I've never had to park in the spaces that require a short walk. A covered circular drive thru is a convenient drop off point at the main entrance. No valet parking is available. I've had therapy at Sentara Hand Therapy & Sentara Therapy Center- Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. I've had MRI's at the Advanced Imaging Center. My Shoulder & Elbow Orthopedic Surgeon does outpatient surgery in the building. But my recent Elbow Surgery, although outpatient, was scheduled at the hospital itself. The practice requires anyone who has a Cardiologist to have surgery at the hospital, where emergency personnel are more easily accessible. My experience with both therapy & the MRIs has been excellent. The equipment & facility is state of the art in this excellent sparkling clean Medical Center. Technology is sophisticated, extending as far as doors being opened by a sensor activated by the wave of a palm. There are also hand sanitizer stations in plentiful supply in the building. I'm very impressed by the Leigh Orthopedic Surgery Center. It's now my location of choice for both Physical Therapy & Advanced Imaging,

My latest visit to Brock Cancer Center was for routines bloodwork. Normally I have Bloodwork done…read moreat Sentara Leigh. When we parked at Leigh it was obvious that something was wrong. There were a large number of First Atlantic Restoration vans parked in close proximity to the entrance. Allowed to go through security screening I was surprised to be turned away and sent to Brock Cancer Center, Turning into Brock Center from Kempsville Road I discovered a convenient side entrance with much closer parking than entering through the beautiful front lobby. The side entrance opened to the hall that has the entrance to Outpatient Check in, which included Bloodwork, Imaging & the Breast Center. There I learned that the problems at Leigh were caused by water pipe breaks. Many of the Leigh employees had been sent to Brock to handle the patients being sent there. I've been a fan of the Brock Imaging Center for some time. Since fewer people realize there's an Imaging Center there, appointments are more readily available. I've had MRI's, Catscans and Bone Density Scans done at Brock. The equipment is state of the art and the employees are friendly. I'll continue to have my Imaging done at Brock with an added benefit of having discovered the more convenient Kempsville side entrance.

Heat, massage and exercised was the plan for once a week at Sentara Hand Therapy and to do exercises at home the rest of the week. The facility is large with work areas throughout. I'd like to start by saying that while I haven't visited the physical building, I was referred here…read moreby my doctor to work with a dietitian to help me lose weight and improve my health. This isn't something I ever would have considered earlier in my life--not for any particular reason, I just wouldn't have done it. However, for the past four months, I have been working with Dennis Bueso, MA, RD (Clinical/Sports Dietitian), and the experience has been nothing like I expected. Being very overweight, I anticipated someone taking charge of the conversation and lecturing me on what I 'better' start doing. I think TV gave me a twisted idea of how these things go. Thankfully, it hasn't been like that at all. Our conversations are excellent and open. Mr. Bueso is incredibly 'chill' and immediately sets you at ease; it feels like a normal, back-and-forth conversation between two people. He is great at following up and is just a genuinely easy person to talk to. Since starting, I've seen amazing results. For those who know what A1C is, mine had been double what it should be for over five years. In just four months, I've brought it down to exactly where it's supposed to be. I give myself credit for controlling my diet, but Dennis has been instrumental in helping me understand what to watch and work on. In addition to the blood work, I've lost over 30 pounds in that same timeframe. I definitely want to give props and thanks to Mr. Bueso. If your doctor has recommended a dietitian, just do it. I worried about how it would go, but those worries were unnecessary. It has been a great experience. After trying out the Dedicated Care Center and realizing that some of the doctors there had too…read morehigh of a patient load, we decided to go with this new concierge practice that opened up here in Virginia Beach. This practice is no where near as large as the other in Norfolk. It consists of 2 doctors: Dr. Warth and Dr. Parks. They told us from the beginning that they only plan to have about 200 patients each which will allow them plenty of time to look after each and every person. They offer everything that you would expect of a concierge practice. Their staff is nice and always greets you by name. They aren't as "fancy" as the one in Norfolk, but I strongly believe that they offer better care.

When I questioned the bill, I was told that the Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View is a hospital. I will choose other options in the future.

I would give Dr. McDermott, his NPs, and Nursing staff 5 stars all day every day (even though they…read morecould not figure out what what my issue was and it took 2-3 visits to them and 4 visits to the ER to finally locate the problem), but at least they tried, and the NP I saw was EXTREMELY sweet and competent. The office staff, however is rude and lies. When I moved back to the area they were a close provider and I noticed on their sign that they are also a family medical practice provider. So when I went in for my first visit I asked that I be established as a regular patient and that they be my PCP. "No problem." they said. My second visit there I was presented with a huge bill and when I questioned it, I was assured I was being billed for primary care services. After my ER visit I went in to be seen to let them know what my final diagnosis finally was and that I needed to get some medications refilled that had been prescribed the ER. It was THEN I was told that they only provide "Family medicine" services for those who need like 3 months of medications at a time (you know the easy things things they can bill crazy high prices to the insurance companies for I imagine). So, now I am sick, have multiple health problems, had been told by them ON MULTIPLE occasions that they were my PCP but was then left high and dry. I attempted to find a PCP, but since they have all my records and are the provider I had been seeing, when I needed paperwork filled out because of a need for an ADA leave from my job, no one else would see me or address the situation. So I went BACK to them to explain and the office manager punched into her computer and advised that I had only ever been seen as an urgent care patient. I said that can't be right because I specifically asked, and was told that they would see me as my PCP, "Well that's what's the computer says....lol" She said . She advised that Dr. McDermott was no longer accepting patients for primary care, and I helpfully suggested they may want to add that to the "Family Medical Sign" and was rudely advised that they can put anything they want on their sign (evidently even when it is misleading at best and false advertising at worst.) Needless to say, I will be contacting the Board of Medicine to report this as well as to my insurance company as I was told I was being changed for PCP services and NOT urgent care, and will also be seeking relief in small claims court with the assistance of my attorney to try to recoup the money I already paid and/or at least have my bill reduced to the PCP rates. I may not prevail, but them having to answer the complaint from the medical board and attend a court hearing should MORE than make up for the inconvenience they have caused me. SO if you need MINOR (and I mean minor) care, and are willing to pay ridiculously high prices, by all means go here. Dr. McDermott and the nursing staff are very very nice. The office staff and manager, however need some serious training in customer service, ethics and transparent and correct billing practices.

Located behind the Chesapeake Medical Regional Center Hospital. Signage is excellent for the building. They have a surface lot that seems adequate. Be mindful of physician parking, there are signs. The lot was tidy. In the front they have a covered pull through for drop off. Appointments were handled in a timely fashion. Specialist are well known for taking months, maybe I was lucky in securing a date in two weeks. They utilize electronic reminders on email and text. The lobby walk in clean as I entered. However, it is noticeably dated. The elevator operated and I took it to the second floor. The doctors waiting room had adequate seating and was tidy. Check-in efficient and wait short to first see nurse than Dr. Snider. Great exam and the doctors bed side manner fantastic! Both visits were consistently great on efficiency. I would recommend this office.

I like that shes not super judgemental like some doctors can be and she treats me like she genuinely cares. I've been seeing her for a couple of years and i like her. The office staff is friendly and the office is clean. I highly recommend her if your looking for an endocrinologist. They're located on Volvo Pkwy in bldg 713 on the 1st floor. There's plenty of parking out front. They also have an urgent care right next door if you need to be seen right away. Its part of Bayview so your doctor can see their notes also. Which i like. This office has endocrinology and internal medicine doctors. They're in a central location. Check them out.
