I first made an appointment here after the appeal of no gap payment on a clean and check up for anyone with health insurance. This makes the place incredible popular and insanely busy, but they still great everyone with a smile and take it all in their stride. My favourite staff member is my hygienist, Abraham, a wonderfully friendly man who is checks in with me every few minutes to make sure I'm okay and tell me how good a patient I am (although, I'm sure he says it to all his patients). The room has a wall of plants at your feet providing a pleasant outlook and there's an adjustable tv to can position overhead to distract you from having a bunch of tools and fingers in your mouth. You can't hear anything over the machines, but then it's fun to guess what they're saying on never-ending soaps such as Days of our Lives. I've just booked in for my January 2012 clean and my son's first dentist visit. I'll review again then as to how they cater for children.

After 5 years. The previous visit not having even been conducted in Australia! (I was studying in Germany at the time) The staff on the phone were professional and helpful. After learning that it had been a while since my last dental visit they structured my check-up accordingly. Hygenist Amelia spent a lot of time focusing on both cleaning my teeth and giving me practical advice on teeth care. This high level of service extended to the Dentist Shayda who was also keen to not only provide a service but impart knowledge on a customer keen to learn. I wasn't surprised to learn that I needed fillings and the subsequent session for those was just as impressive (this time with Hygenist Shelley assisting Shayda). So much so that I wasn't even nervous and felt very assured of their ability to go a great job. I walked out of the dental clinic having had a very positive experience. Highly recommended and I already have booked in for my 6-month check-up.

They have extended opening hours which is fantastic so you don't have to take time off work to get an appointment all the time. I've always been given referrals for any family member to really good places as well. Usually they will bulk bill which heaps of places don't do anymore so if someone gets sick the day before pay day it's not a problem. They have a nurse on duty most of the time if you need. They have other more specialised services they offer such as some sports stuff, psychologists, weight management and laser hair removal. they also have a pharmacy in the same complex so you can get your prescriptions filled before you leave. Best features are the definitely the bulk billing, the extended opening hours and their after hours locum service (BEST thing ever is you have really sick kids - the doc comes to you and all the details are still kept on their same files). Usually you do need an appointment nowadays but if it is urgent and you just drop in they can usually work something out.

This is a great service....especially if you have children and need a doctor's appointment sooner…read morerather than later. If it is a more urgent appointment that you need, tell them. They will either get you in sooner or direct you to another service if needed. If you don't mind seeing a different doctor every time (which I don't unless it's an ongoing health issue) you can usually get in to see someone that day. After so many visits there, and so many doctors, I have to say that all the staff have been helpful, patient and kind. They are now my first phone call when I need medical help. I've been in the safe hands of a few of their dentists, especially during the painful moments of wisdom teeth coming through, fillings etc. and I've never felt more supported and cared for. These days, I'm usually every 6 months for a hygienist clean and both girls I've been to are lovely and patient. I would have selected 4 stars because Noarlunga hasn't been too bad a hospital when we have had the…read moremisfortune of having to go there but I just can't because you don't visit hospitals for positive reasons so it's hard to rate them higher. However, their wait times have not been as bad other hospitals I have been to in A & E. Note that they do not have any Paediatric facilities here so if you have a young child you may as well just go straight to Flinders as they will probably send you there anyway. We only had this occur once with our youngest but FMC then also sent us to WCH so it really wouldn't have mattered anyway. Grrr...... On a good note though I always go to the hospital if I need to have a blood test. Their hours are better for working people to fit into and their staff are much better trained and heaps better able to deal with kids fighting it every step of the way. Plus you never have to wait long. In addition a few years back to assist in getting the wait lists down for surgeries Noarlunga Hospital assisted FMC with some of their not high risk surgeries. So I got a call and only about 4 days later my son got his tonsils out. We had been on FMC wait list for over a year and he had it constantly. The staff were great with him and I was allowed to stay as well. Great to have this facility so close to home. Makes me feel a little less panicked somehow to at least be close to help if you need it. Just hope you never have to be in A & E here on election night...............worst experience ever! But not the hospitals fault so they lose no points on that one.

I ended up changing to flinders even though it's much harder for me to get there that's how bad this was. I never got to see the same midwife more than once, they were all horrible and didn't listen to a word I said when I was voicing my concerns and trying to inform them of my birth plan etc, they filled out all the information on my forms wrong, they neglected to measure my baby at visits which they should have been doing, lost my blood test results more than once so I kept having to have the same one. It was terrible all round and they failed to give me the information they should have and as a result I missed out on the natural birthing centre which would have been perfect for me and my baby. Flinders are so much better I highly recommend them.

We have seen three GPs thus far and they have all been lovely but the particular GP we book in with is Lesley Blimkie as she is thorough, has a kooky and great sense of humor, excellent clinical judgement and is fantastic and patient with kids. All the qualities I was looking for in my search for a GP when we moved down south. This is why I give this practice 5 stars :) The admin staff are always pleasant and helpful and you are always greeted with a smile. Such a change from the previous practice I attended closer to the CBD. I always love service with a smile, and who doesn't really?! Plus they bulk bill for all children under 10. There is also a dietician and a practice nurse and a plethora of services offered so please refer to their website as there is too many to list. While you wait, peruse through the diverse range of up-to-date magazines while listening to the calming instrumental music playing in the background. Great children's play area with a great selection of toys and it is always clean. There is room to park your prams or wheelchairs too. Ample parking on site. In the busy months, some of the GPs at Wellbeing McLaren sometimes close their books for new patients, so if you are in search of a GP and live up this way, book in with them now so you can get in as a new patient. This is by far one of the best GP clinics I have been to because the staff are friendly and it is evident that they take pride in their practice as it always looks clean and well presented.

The pharmacy adjoins the Norwood Village Medical & Dental Clinic and would imagine most business would come from there. Access is from either the clinic or the footpath. I only had to wait in line for a minute and upon submitting my prescription request the lady behind the counter was very polite and welcoming. While waiting for the script to be made another customer was called to collect his script and she was lovely to him too. There were a couple of chairs while waiting although I wasn't waiting long, and when I was called by the pharmacist payment was made easy with the Pay Wave. The pharmacist noticed my limited voice due to pharyngitis and sent me on my way with good wishes. Parking was the only issue and being on The Parade at Norwood is busy so one must expect to park a little further and walk.
