Went from 5 stars to 1 after our experience as seasonal campers…read more I originally gave this campground a 5-star review, but after our experience as seasonal campers during the 2026 season, I'm changing that to 1 star. The most serious issue was the pool. My children complained about receiving shocks in and around the pool, I experienced it myself, and others reported the same thing. Rather than immediately treating it as a potentially serious electrical safety issue, explanations such as rain/static electricity were given. I was concerned enough that I contacted the Chief Electrical Inspector for Nova Scotia. We also repeatedly witnessed the manager and her husband yelling at children around the campground, sometimes to the point that children returned to their sites crying. We raised concerns with the owner and were essentially told that if we did not like how they ran their business, we "know where the door is." There were also ongoing issues with inconsistent rule enforcement. Staff had looked at our trailer placement, the manager had seen our setup, and we then modified our deck around it. We were later told it had to be changed, while other seasonal sites appeared to have setups that went well beyond what we were being told was acceptable. I was also blocked from a Facebook page that had been created years ago by seasonals for seasonals after raising legitimate issues and asking questions. The new manager had become an admin and blocked me. Thankfully, the original creator later removed the manager's admin privileges and unblocked me. The campground itself has also noticeably declined. Many of the good staff who helped make the place enjoyable are gone. From what I have personally observed and been told, treatment by ownership played a role in some employees leaving. The woman who previously looked after the flowers, trees and landscaping did not return this year. I do not know whether she quit or was let go, but the difference was obvious. Real plants were replaced with plastic ones, and the trees between the VIP lots were not trimmed once all season. The canteen has also become much more expensive while portions have noticeably decreased. You are now paying much more for much less. There has also been some very strange behaviour online. The manager's husband has publicly repeated extremely serious rumours about a former groundsworker. I am not going to repeat those allegations or present rumours as fact. I will say that, from our family's experience, that groundsworker was one of the best employees the campground ever had and would go out of his way to help people. I also question the campground advertising itself as "proudly locally owned and operated." The owner does not live in Canada, comes here for a short period during the summer, and then returns overseas. That does not match what I would normally understand "locally owned and operated" to mean. After raising concerns about safety, treatment of children, management and inconsistent enforcement, we were informed that our seasonal site would not be renewed for 2027. There are still great families here and some excellent current and former employees, and our family has made many good memories over the years. That is what makes this so disappointing. Unfortunately, after everything that happened this season, I can no longer recommend this campground. What was once a 5-star experience is now a 1-star experience for us.

We were in the Carriage House behind the main building, which was like a small apartment with two bathrooms, a living room and a bedroom. Others in our group spoke highly of the historic main building. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet (except for the morning serenade from local songbirds). The breakfasts were delicious and the host-made scones were the best I've ever had. It was located not far from town, and we were able to walk to local establishments during our stay. Not sure when I'll make it back to Annapolis Royal, but when I do I'm staying at Queen Anne.

First order diagnosis was done in five minutes and a plumber was on site within 45 minutes on a Saturday morning. We had hot water in half an hour. Every business has issues. The mark of a great business is how they deal with them while preserving the customer experience. The owners Kate and Lazlow at Queen Anne Inn clearly put the customer first. Kate makes breakfast while Lazlow serves. On busy days they have extra help. The owners make sure the quality is maintained. Breakfast menus the two days we were there started with a scone, a yogurt parfait or berry smoothie (lots of berries in season while we were there), and a choice of two mains. The Belgian waffle and the savory crepe we ate were excellent. Wherever Kate learned to cook it worked. The public rooms in the main building are lovely. In addition to the two interconnected dining rooms there are two separate sitting rooms. The furnishings are at once elegant and comfortable. We stayed in the cottage behind the main building with an upstairs bedroom and a downstairs living room. Again, nicely furnished and very comfortable. Regardless of the season Queen Anne Inn is a welcoming and comfortable place to stay in Annapolis Royal NS.

The heated bathroom floors were a treat that I was not expecting in such a grand old home but that just proved to me once again that nothing is overlooked when it comes to their guests' comfort. Breakfast is always wonderful, and what delights me every time is that the people with whom we share the table are always interesting and delightful breakfast companions. If you are visiting Fredericton, treat yourself to Brennan's.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the King Suite which included an amazing bathroom with a huge Jacuzzi tub (Best. Bathtub. Ever.), fireplace, flat screen TV, kitchenette and super comfortable bed. The house is gorgeous inside and out and the hosts make you feel at home with helpful tips for what to do in the area and a genuine interest in your travels. The big breakfast was delicious and included fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, jams, ham and your choice of eggs. If you need to stay in the Fredericton area, do yourself a favor and look no further than Brennan's, you won't regret it.

There are three rooms available here, and each of them can sleep two people. Each room is decorated differently, and is named accordingly. There are two shared bathrooms, and a shared sitting/TV area. We booked out all three rooms for our party of 6, so we had the whole house to ourselves. When we arrived, the whole house smelled like cookies. May, the owner of this B&B, had spent the day baking 32 dozen cookies, and had some in a glass display on the counter ready for us to eat. She had regular chocolate chip, pumpkin chocolate chip, shortbread, and gingersnap. Um...yes please. Breakfast was incredible. May had a sheet with a ridiculous number of options on it, and each person got a sheet to tick off like a checklist. This included tea, milk, coffee, juices, etc, a variety of different kinds of cooked eggs (including poached on homemade toast), sausage, ham, bacon, pancakes, homemade cinnamon French toast, regular toast (in homemade white or non-homemade wheat), fruit, etc. All this was served on a dining table complete with gorgeous china, napkins with napkin rings, condiments, and a number of different homemade jams. I've never had breakfast this fancy before. The poached eggs were completely cooked by the time I had them (we had to wait for my brother and father to wake up), but the rest of breakfast was incredible. I was so ridiculously stuffed after. The food was great, the rooms were great, and the art in the house is all done by May and is gorgeous. Something about not liking wallpaper, so she decided to paint the house. A picture says a thousand words, so I'll let my pictures do the talking. It was all just wow. Ah. One more thing. If you like the art and/or the cookies, jams, etc., May has a little store off to the side where you can buy her stuff. Enjoy!
