I don't think many of us plan for a roof replacement. I wasn't planning on having to have my roof…read morereplaced this year. I had someone come out as I was looking at having gutters replaced. The one I talked to about gutters showed me photos and some of the shingles had a hole in them and said I should have a roof inspection conducted. After that, I turned to Yelp to look for companies to have a roof inspection completed. There were several to choose from, and I had a few come out to look at the roof. Inspectors from two different companies were supposed to come out the following day. The first one was a no show, but Cleus Staple from Revamp Exteriors came out at the scheduled time. This visit occurred on July 13, 2025. We stated outside to look over the roof. He was thorough in checking out the roof. He confirmed the same thing the gutter representative told me. He also went into more detail and showed dips and such in the shingles too. We came inside and he went up into the attic to check out the roof from that angle. Apparently, some of the drilling for the solar panels I had gotten a few years back made a hole into the attic from the drilling of the solar panels. After that, we sat down so he could go over the product that would be used for rebuilding the roof, as well as changes in the building codes as the roof that was currently on there was over 20 years old. The old shingles were a three-layer design, while the newer version is a five-layer design. There was a waterproofing barrier as a part of it, as well as the roof would be resistant up to 130 mph winds too. He was able to answer every question I had asked, and he was up front and honest about everything. After going through everything, and based on this experience, I decided to pull the trigger and go with them to do the roof replacement. We got to choose from a variety of colors too. They do have financing available through Service Finance Company. They did tell me that it would be over a three-day period. The first day would be getting the solar panels down in preparation for install. The second day was the roof install, and the final day was getting the solar panels back up and running. After getting things settled, the roof replacement was scheduled to begin on July 23, 2025. A few days later, they were able to move up the start date to July 22nd due to better weather conditions. The first day was pretty easy. It was just getting the solar panels down. All of the solar panel work was done by Solar Unlimited. The next day was getting the new roof installed. It was a noisy day, but it really didn't affect me working from home as usual. I did come out a few times to see how things were going, and I was glad I was not the one doing it. It looked really good after everything was completed. It took about 9-10 hours total. The following day, Solar Unlimited came back to re-install the solar panels. The morning after the solar panels were put back up, John from Revamp Exteriors came over to do a final inspection after everything was completed. There were no issues, and he shared those pictures with me, which he said I can use them. Overall, this was an excellent experience with Revamp Exteriors. They were quick to respond to all my questions, and they were able to give me everything I need to submit for a homeowner's insurance discount for a new roof date. Although the cost can shock you, it will be great in the long run since it's considered a 50-year roof. In the future, I may need to look at having the vinyl siding replaced at a later time, and I will definitely turn here first when that time comes. If you are looking at having some home renovations completed, you need to give Revamp Exteriors a call. You won't regret it.

So, I called him to schedule an estimate, he showed up ON TIME (great sign!), and the price he gave me was very reasonable. I decided to go with him to have the work done and am VERY glad I did! From start to finish, Ricky and his employees were beyond professional and true to their word. Not one single day were they late, NOT ONE, nor did they cancel or no show (something I've had frequently occur in the past). I was able to observe some of their work during the process and it was obvious they were experienced in their trade and took pride in their work. Once everything was completed, my home looked almost entirely brand new, and was beyond amazing! To say I was happy with the final results would be an understatement. I also have to add, not only did they do superb work installing my new roof, but they did not leave a single piece of trash, old shingles, nails, or anything behind. They even walked around my entire property ensuring every nail and small pieces of shingles and wood were picked up! I'm glad I trusted my friends recommendation because the service I received from Ricky and his employees was A+ top notch and I would highly recommend his company to anyone who wants the job done right!

If there had been any other company available to do this job I would've chosen based on the fact that they never show up. I have a record of first call and no show February 13th, then again March 16th, again April 10th. I found out the owner had had surgery but there was no communication of this and I was under the impression they would have a different employee come to do the job. But that never happened. On April 12th Blanton finally showed up in person just to assess what needed to be done. He insisted on a prepayment which made me really uncomfortable given that he hadn't shown up 3 separate times already. And I was right unfortunately, once again not showing up on the agreed upon day nor the next nor the next and not responding to calls or texts until I told him how unprofessional to which he responded as if I offended him. Not thinking of the fact that it was my money and him not showing up that was the issue. I finally had to go out of town for 10 days so I called upon my return and he finally showed up and got part of the job done, forgetting that he was supposed to repair the screen door as well. He took the door with him. And once AGAIN he hasn't shown up on the following day as agreed upon. If a customer can't trust your word, how does that reflect on you as a business owner? I now see just how many others have complained and I'm sad to say I will not be calling this company again if I ever get my screen door back.

They had the absolute WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. I had been trying to get these windows since October. The guy they sent out for my estimate never got back to me when I decided to go with beach Windows. I ended up having to call the home office to get a response, and they sent the same guy out for me to sign the contract. He had no idea what was going on. It was like he never came to my house the first time for the estimate. I had the paper HE gave me right in front of him and he still couldn't figure it out. Then again I had to call the home office to make sure I was still on track with the windows. They had the VP call me and it sounded like he was reading from a script no emotion no personal concern. I had the gutters I ordered come in around the end of January. There was no phone call no voice mail no email letting me know they were in or being installed. I understand they are outside so I didn't need to be home but a heads up that people were going to be there would have been nice. The house is a rental so I had no idea they were there or when they were coming in the first place. The tenant had to notify me that there were strange people at the house and if I had something going on and if they were supposed to be there. My Windows finally came in mid February and couldn't get installed until mid March ( but what's another month of waiting at this point) and of course one of the Windows was ordered wrong so I had to wait for them to reorder a new one. The office called me to schedule a time to install that window and the girl I talked to gave me an attitude about not wanting to wait until they were free to install it. It was their mistake and I shouldn't have to wait another 2 weeks for them. It was ONE window they should be able to accommodate my free time for their mistake. At the end of all this the VP once again called me and was completely oblivious to my issues. All he kept asking was if the installers were rude to me and sometimes Windows do get ordered wrong. That wasn't my issue at all it was the lack of communication from day one. The VP asked if there anything else he could help me with.... He didn't help me at all in any way to begin with. If I could have found another company that would have giving me gutters with my windows I would have went when them from day one. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. read more

Beach Windows installed our windows April 2015. We had 5 different companies provide estimates. Beach Windows was not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive. The brand window offered by them had good reviews and insulation statistics when researched on the web. Window replacement is not something where money should be the only deciding factor. I read reviews of the other companies looking for comments on quality of windows, staff, scheduling, installation, and follow up if needed. When we went to Beach Windows' show room, the sales person was courteous, provided information, brochures, and explained the different window options available. Installation of the windows went as planned. The installers showed up on day and window of time scheduled. The install was completed in one day. (I have 25+ windows on a brick ranch.) All old windows, trash, and debris was removed. I was cleaning the kitchen window a few weeks ago, and it jumped out of the slot in the track . I could not get the window to open and close properly. I called and Beach Windows; who sent someone to my house within 2 days. The person explained to me what happened and showed me how I could correct. I also had a screen that a bird had pecked a hole in the middle of. Beach Windows did the re-screen for a reasonable price. The replacement windows have eliminated a significant amount of outside noise and provides good insulation. My heating and cooling bills did dropped a bit which I contribute to having better windows. I am very pleased with my windows and Beach Windows. read more

I am extremely pleased with the sliding glass door that I purchased from Beach Windows & Siding. Thomas Barringer was GREAT! He did the initial presentation; it was short and very concise. Also, he left a very professional packet for me to review and use to complete my research. He encouraged me to compare his product to others. I even went by their show room and the staff in the show room was just as friendly and professional as Thomas. After my research I found that Beach Windows had the best product for the price. The door arrived when they said it would and they kept in touch with me so I did not feel like they forgot about me during my wait for the door. Once the door arrived, the installers where on time and very professional. I especially liked that the installers verified with me that they had the correct door before they started work. This made me feel confident that I was getting the correct product installed. I absolutely LOVE my new sliding glass door. It has the mini-blinds inside of the glass and it is truly a beautiful addition to my home. It is such a pretty door that I do not want to put curtains up to cover it. Their customer service and the quality of their material is exceptional. My next home improvement will be windows and I'm definitely going to go with Beach Windows&Siding. I chose Beach windows after interviewing many other companies. Matt was my contact/salesman and he actually sent me a list of pertinent questions to ask other companies when they gave estimates. He was generous in educating me prior to our appointment so I could make the best decision for me with whatever company I went with. Matt came out and was professional, knowledgeable, kind and just real. He helped me make the best choice for my needs which wasn't the most expensive! All phone calls and information flow with the office was great, as well! On installation day, Ron and his crew were early, respectful and got after the job quickly. They also educated me as they went, showed me what was uncovered as the windows and door were removed and --bonus--they were fun to have in the house!!! Having 2 dogs and gates, the guys were fabulous at interacting with the dogs and being mindful of keeping the gates and doors closed behind them! At the end of the job walk through, Ron noticed a couple of things I probably wouldn't have. He pointed them out, corrected what he could in that moment and then walked through again, just to be sure! Beach Windows installed a new sliding patio door in my home. It started with meeting Mike, their professional salesman. He was very personable yet professional from the beginning to the end. This was a NO pressure estimate during the entire process. Mike provided all the details from the sale, manufacturing to installation. He even came by during the installation. I can't say enough about the installation process. Of course their was some framing damage after the old door was removed. The installer, Tommy was so knowledgeable and reassuring during the entire process, he definitely calmed my nerves. Tommy took no chances or took any shortcuts in repairing my damaged frame. He continued to follow the damaged wood trail until it could all be replaced properly and securely. I can't say enough about Tommy's craftsmanship and friendly personality during this instillation. It was definitely much more work than expected. I then contacted the owner of Beach Windows, Thomas about the entire process. I found him to be so interested in my installation process and information about his employees. He was very cordial and a pleasure to deal with. We spoke to several window installers before choosing Beach Windows. It's hard to find someone that you'd trust these days, but Tom came to our home, he was very personable, professional and genuine. He presented us with information, a very reasonable quote, and we selected our window features. Communication was excellent. We had approximately 15 windows done this time around. The timeline from measuring to getting our window installation appointment was very reasonable. The installers were very nice, polite and cleaned up well after themselves. We had no issues at all. A couple of months later we had another 8 windows replaced. Again, Tom was fantastic! Timeline was great and communication was excellent. We had a different crew installing these windows and we did have a little hiccup at the end, but I will say that Tom took care of the issue, no questions asked. He was very professional about it and took care of us. The windows are fabulous, easy to clean and have made it quieter in our home. I have to say I have researched windows since moving into my hone in 2008. All of my neighbors used the 189 people but had so many complaints about drafts and other concerns I knew I didn't want them. I researched and met with almost every company in the Hampton Roads area and I went into the Beach windows store in Virginia Beach and got to play with all of their windows. The owner was fantastic. I called about a year later and the salesman came out with the windows I wanted. He also came with and a cheaper and more expensive model, stating the benefits of either. I went with my original choice. Well yesterday they completed putting in my windows. I had 19 windows removed and 17 windows installed, including one bow/bay window and one garden window in my kitchen. Tom and his crew were friendly, efficient and never took a break even in 104+ weather. It took two days to complete but I couldn't be happier. Beach Windows came out to quote me on windows, they explained their windows better than any other contractors that came out. After getting the quote from all the window companies and doing my research on the windows, Beach Windows had the best value and product. Tom and his crew did the installation, which I would highly recommend. Tom came out the first time to install the windows but the measurements were not to his liking so he reordered all of the windows. (Another crew had done the measurements) He thought they should be tighter and they were when they came in. They were fast, polite and cleaned up after they were done. The window quality was of better quality than any other window I have owned. When you call the office, the ladies that answer the phone could not be more polite and from talking with all of the guys, they love working for the company. They all say its a great company to work for. I couldn't be happier that I chose Beach Windows. I just wish I had used them for my sliding door which I had replaced earlier. read more

We have just had all the windows and one door replaced by Beach Windows in our 1978 home. What a hassle free experience! From the first low key no pressure meeting with Matt, to the expected date being met, we could not be more happy with our project. The crew of Shannon and John were a pleasure to have around for 3 days and cleaned as they worked. Their last day they took advantage of every break in the rain to get the project finished. It was a cold long day and Shannon was just as chipper at the end. Matt has been incredibly accommodating on every request and doing the finishing touches. I am one who is very particular about craftsmanship so I don't really like to have someone do work for me. I am usually dissatisfied. However, our siding needed replacing and there are just some things I can't do myself. I called Beach Siding and Windows and a representative came out and gave us a very competitive quote. The work was started on time and ended in a reasonable amount of time. I was very pleased with the attention paid to detail. The workmen were well trained and the materials and work quality are outstanding. I called them back twice for minor issues and they return promptly and fixed the problems for no charge. Nearly every house in our neighborhood has had new windows put in by this company so using them was a no-brainer. Still tried other quotes but in the end Beach Windows had the best price for the window. The insulation, molding, sun-shading, and expert work can't be beat. After a style glitch with one window they quickly corrected it and brought the right window back within a couple of weeks. 17 windows in one day and the clean up was on point. The mid-range Okna windows may be a little pricey but if you want good insulation, sound proofing, and a better looking house then spending the money is well worth it. read more

Beach Windows and Siding replaced 22 windows in our home and from beginning (in the showroom) to the end, the experience was 5 star excellent. Every person we worked with or talked to was super friendly and professional and we are extremely happy with our end product. Tom and his crew did an amazing job getting all HUGE windows in place in just 1 & 1/2 days. I had work done by Beach Windows a while back, but I thought someone needed to set the record straight. After shopping around for a while I decided to take a calculated risk on Beach Windows. Their Okna window looked just as good if not better than some of the other windows I had looked at and at a lower price than most of the other brands that I've heard of. One thing I will say is if you are looking for one of those companies that advertise $165 or $189, this is not your company. They do much better work than those companies and it's worth every penny. read more

A little more than a year after having Beach Windows and Siding install 15 double hung and two picture windows I noticed and area that should have been caulked during installation and wasn't. This caused the facia to start to rot. I took a picture and showed Tom. They immediately made an appointment to replace the facia board at no cost. Their employee that came out and made the repair did an outstanding job. It is nice to see a company that stands behind their work. I highly recommend Beach Windows and Siding. We called Beach Windows to come out and give us an estimate on a garage enclosure. Mike the salesman came out . He had some great ideas. We knew it would take awhile for the window but that gave us time to get other things done.Vanessa in the office kept us informed about when the window and the siding would be in. We chose Beach Windows for the quality of the window, and the small size of the company. We had a couple of companies come out and give us an estimate. Overall we liked the product that was offered by Beach Windows, and we liked that the salesman was on top of things. He noticed that we had over counted the number of windows that we have. I had honest dealing with Kreg who laid down all my options based on my budget. Soon after, measurements were done, Windows were ordered and keeping me posted of my Windows arrival. We were so please with their customer service, quality of work and genuine communication skills that when it came time to replace our roof it was a no brainer who it was going to be. Once again they did not disappoint. Keith, who was our sales rep, was the same person we had 12 years ago for the siding job and he was straight forward and gave us a very fair price as a returning customer. Kimberly was terrific letting us know what was going on with the scheduling process and Rick was the onsite company rep that kept us in the loop with everything was going on during the entire process and was more than happy to answer all of my stupid questions. What I really want to mention was the outstanding job the crew lead, Sebastian, and his merry men did. I have NEVER seen this before..... during a roofing replacement-these guys actually covered all four side of house with tarps during the old shingle removal so that the exterior would not get dirty-unbelievable. Who does that? CHI&R does, that's who! I could go on and on but you get the idea. Hire these guys you won't regret it.

Crew tried to cut corners whenever Proj Mgr Efrain not onsite (often) - cut every service line into home (phone, fios, cable/internet & wires/boxes tossed and wires inaccessible for future reconnect), caught skipping taping j-channel around windows before siding, and didn't complete door wraps. 5)Not compensated for doing Proj Mgr job for 2 days because not onsite, and using crew that cuts corners. 6)Siding crew v. disrespectful of homeowner; Crew ignored homeowner and phone directive by PM to allow service guy access, resulting in delay and service reconnect almost walking away 7) WINDOWS: Manufacturer install specs not followed- voiding warranty/wind rating - addressed at install but not corrected, so had to request CHI return to install missing screws. While did, stated 'not worried as they deal w/it if issue' (perhaps, IF still in biz, but assume people want what paid for - wind rating and warranty not a future repair cuz skipped step). PM Neil, roof crew, Dalton on gutters, and Kim in office are only reason rated higher than 1*.

My review is mixed. This company did what appears to be a beautiful job replacing our roof but…read moreshortly after it was done we discovered a few problems. My husband needed to go up into our attic. While up there he realized that the fascia board was bare because there were cracks that allowed light into the attic. We had paid extra for drip edge so everything should have been covered and no light should have been able to get through. Due to the cracks we had a wasp nest in our attic (thankfully he was able to quickly take care of this problem). Upon further evaluation we found a dent in one of our gutters and that one of our vents was not properly positioned to the roof fixture. We called the company and they came out to evaluate. They fixed our vent and they offered to cover the fascia board. We were grateful they were willing to do this since they made a mistake by not letting us know about the exposed boards and inability for the drip edge to reach the gutters. However, when they came to cover the boards the material they used was improperly cut, they left nails halfway driven in and tapped over to the side, screws were left loose on our gutter, and there was now a gash and a hole in a part of the gutters. The dent was also still present from when the roof project was complete. The owner came out to review the damage with my husband. He did tighten the loose screws on the gutter. He relayed that he could not believe that the gutter damage was from his employee. We informed him that our gutters were just installed within the last year and that my husband had looked at them prior to the employee coming out to put up the material but he dismissed those facts. He insisted that since covering the fascia board was not part of original roof project that it was a sufficient job even with the prior mentioned damage. I stated that I expected good quality even though this was not part of our original roof project as they are supposedly a professional company. The company websites notes they not only do roof projects but gutters and siding. I told him that I expected they would have brought up the fascia board issue during the roof replacement even though it was not a technical part of the project. He informed me that he does not want to "upsell" customers. I advised him that protecting my home is not upselling and that he should address this with customers in the future. Unfortunately, we will not be comfortable using them again if their perspective is that a job of poor quality that causes damage is sufficient because it was not part of the original project they were paid to complete. If you choose to use them I would suggest taking detailed pictures beforehand and checking the work. We are currently happy with our new roof and are hoping that our roof is well installed but that is yet to be seen. Sadly, our gutters and fascia board will need to be redone.

I easily could have walked away prior to signing the contract. I ended up with a new roof, Board and Batten siding, soffits(didn't know what they were until now), trim, gutters, & new porch rails. Also, I was able to get rid of the old 1960's side vents and replaced with hidden vents. Who would have thought little things would make such a huge difference! No regrets and I am so happy with this investment! The entire process was handled professionally. United Roofing went above and beyond to make things not only right, but the way I wanted them to be as well as provide their honest opinion. Not once did the company over promise and under deliver. The home owner will have to be the accountant with several phone calls from Glen, the GC, asking how much $ is left every few weeks- wanting the final draw BEFORE completion of work. Did not accurately draw up the discussed vaulted ceiling so paid extra $ due to incorrect blueprints; the "maintenance free" screened porch had numerous pine knot stains over every wall come through within 1 month of completion...which is ongoing maintenence! The interior windows were incorrectly installed in the wrong color causing delay for correct custom windows to arrive. Interior doors installed without door frames as well as drywall finish look hideous. Home owner had to fix door knobs. They promised a final cleaning which did not happen. GC referred to the home owners' wife as a b**** to other subcontractors. Communication so poor GC requested subcontractors to discuss matters with us, the home owners, as to smooth out tensions. Many of these subcontractors were wonderful, respectful and professional and clearly not connected to SkyBrynnes business tactics. Abruptly GC's wife "took over" in her words through email correspondence with a lecture on how "we as customers are to behave going forward." We noted at initial introductions of future construction plans in the home; so there was great potential of this company acquiring future work of a laundry room addition; a full bathroom and office space addition and 2 bathroom remodels. We have built 2 homes, hired many different contractors that we gave returning business for large jobs in 5 different homes and have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism.

Gaps, no flashing at the chimney, shingles that didn't reach the gutter, etc. I contacted Skye-Brynn about their 10 year warranty on proper installation and asked them to take a look at the roof to verify that they may have been responsible for the leaking. To my knowledge, they never even went and looked at the roof. Just stoped communicating with me. I ended up having to pay someone to repair the damage (due to improper installation) 2 weeks later because I couldn't get anyone from Skye-Brynn to talk to me. Beware. They did a poor installation job and then refused to stand by their work when their poor installation resulted in a leaky roof.
