I went to purchase a shirt that was on the 75% off rack. Once I purchased the shirt I had realized that they charged me sales tax on the original item which was $30, instead of the $7.50 that I actually paid for the shirt. When I confronted the employee working, she said that she knew I was getting charged the tax for the full item, but still did nothing, and did not give me my money back. From what I know- this is actually illegal, to overcharge a customer on sales tax. This is such a dishonest way to run a business- who knows how long they have been doing this to people. read more

One of the more interesting shops in LB. They offer a variety of products from clothing, flip flops, accessories, specialty body products, costume jewelry, wood signs, kitchen stuff and a section for dog lovers! We took our time browsing through the store because there was so much to see. We went home with some cool unique finds. I wish the staff were a bit more friendly. The cashier was having trouble with the register and took awhile to acknowledge my presence in front of her. read more

This is the best store in Long Beach! They have women's clothing in regular and plus sizes and a men's section too. Also lots of accessories like hats, scarves, belts, really nice jewelry, flip flops, purses/bags, and natural beauty products. They also have a great selection of bathing suits and swim trunks. Beachcombers carries a lot of stuff made in America and plenty of cool gift items that you won't find in other stores. They also have some nicer quality Long Beach sweatshirts and stuff like that but mostly everyday fashion and athleisure wear. Oh, and they have some really nice rain coats! I have been coming to this store for years and they recently remodeled and brought in some new brands so I encourage everyone to check it out, especially if you haven't visited in a while. And bring your pupper, they're dog friendly! read more

My friends and I were in this store just browsing and I sat down in a chair in the corner for a couple minutes to rest (I have a neurological/cardiac condition that causes me to need breaks often). After about 5 minutes of my friends waiting for me a woman presumably working in the store came up to us and told us that if we were "just going to be one our phones, we should leave." I was too out of it to respond, but my friends told her about my condition (I was clearly not well and I had my cane with me, so there was no reason for her to doubt them) and told her we would leave when I was well enough. She would not listen and told us that I could rest outside. My friends had to help me up and out of the store. read more

Me and my friends went in there because we were popping into a lot of shops. We were sitting in the corner after 5 minutes of being there because my friend has a health condition where she faints a lot (she had her cane with her). Some lady came up to us (probably the manager or owner) and says "if you're just going to just be on your phones you can leave". We tried to explain our friend has a health condition but she said "you can sit outside". Her tone was very rude and we weren't being loud or disrupting the store or anything. I don't know what crawled up her ass and died but it was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. read more

I am so impressed with the lady at Beachcomber's. I bought a pair of Croc boots there last year and ended up taking home two different sizes. When I realized what happened I wanted to call but never did. Then this year when we went back for vacation I stopped in and told her what happened. She walked over to the table and grabbed the boot in the size I needed and gave it to me. I didn't even have the boots with me to exchange. She just gave me her card and told me to send it back if I wanted. I was floored. I haven't ever experienced that level of customer service. Outstanding. They will have my business for as long as I keep visiting long beach. read more

Best store on the Long Beach strip. Solid prices and fantastic style. Very casual-chic, very west coast. They also seemed to have a pretty darn good plus-size collection. If we're in Long Beach again, this is the one store I'll make a point of going to -really love their housewares in particular. read more

So out of all the stores over here in this cute little town ive been to on my vacation this particular store i felt horrible customer service, i was looking through the clearance rack and found a pair of pants i liked along with the pants i wanted to purchase a shirt to match but the lady insisted that i keep the pants at the register... that threw me for a loop so much so i wasn't at all interested about shopping there any further. I think they need to teach their employees better about good customer service. read more
