It's a strip mall with an auto body shop. Not the most picturesque or romantic place, but the ice cream is good. You pretty much need to eat it in the parking lot (there are a few benches) or in your car. My husband and I went during the Phase 2 re-opening amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic, but I don't think they had to change their practices much because they were always takeout only with no place to sit and eat. There was absolutely no line up when we went on a Sunday afternoon in June. My husband is a traditionalist so he got a medium chocolate vanilla swirl in a waffle cone. It was $3.25 for a medium and an additional $0.75 for the waffle cone. I wanted to try their flavour burst which is flavour swirled into the ice cream in unique way (see photos). I got a small vanilla cone with cherry flavour burst. It was $2.25 for the small cone plus an additional $1 for the flavour burst. I enjoyed my cone. The ice cream was creamy and the flavour burst added a nice black cherry flavour to the cone. It wasn't too overwhelmingly sweet which was nice. I really want to try the Pina Colada flavour burst next time. Note that they only have soft serve ice cream. No hard/scoop ice cream. They do have milkshakes, slushies, slushie floats, sundaes, and Razzles, which are like Dairy Queen Blizzards or Mc Donald's McFlurries. Service was quick and courteous. I'm a huge fan. It's a bit of a trek to get to Kanata for me, but I would come back if I was in the area or planning to so other things in the area. Free parking in the parking lot that is shared with the auto shop.

I'm getting two scoops, though" she said, laughing. This joint offers options for everyone. You can get a variety of gelato flavours that are made fresh every day. Gelato has dairy in it. If you're like me and want a dairy-free option, sorbetto is a nice alternative. I had overheard the conversation between the woman behind the counter and a couple about to pay for their treats: "Is it cash only?" the woman asked. "No, that's the Crazy Moose. We accept all cards and cash," the female staffer said. One word: yes! This same female staffer helped me out with my order. I got the following sorbetto flavours in a cup: - Guava - Lychee I paid with a credit card. I also tipped, thankful that I could use plastic to pay. I thanked her and left with my frozen dessert. There were a handful of little tables with chairs inside the store, but they were all taken. Instead, I went out in the hot weather and found outdoor seating. Luckily, there is a rather large tree that provided a lot of shade. There was also a breeze, so I wasn't sweating buckets. I loved my sorbetto. The guava and lychee were reminiscent of having Vitasoy as a kid. I loved these flavours. They were captured perfectly in the sorbetto, which wasn't all that sweet. The sorbetto scoops were refreshing and enjoyable to consume on a hot July afternoon. There were pigeons that looked like they were innocently befriending me. They were actually waiting for me to make a klutzy move. If I had dropped my sorbetto, they'd feast. They never got any of mine. I finished all of it. So good! It was nice to people-watch as I had my sorbetto. If you have the time to stop and enjoy things in ByWard Market, come here for a scoop of yumminess and savour it. It's a great place. Ottawa's first rolled ice cream shop was another location of Roll'd Up that opened on York St in the Byward Market not only in the middle of the Covid Pandemic, but in the middle of winter! I still haven't made it there, but was so excited to see another location open up in Lansdowne Park. And when it was technically Spring, although didn't really feel like it yet, lol, I went to check it out. So the Lansdowne location just opened the last week of March 2022. They had been open for 1 week when I visited. I got a small Strawberry Cheesecake rolled ice cream ($8.95) and my husband got a small Skor rolled ice cream ($8.95). It's pretty pricey, but I think the price includes the "show" they put on as they make it, lol. So they pour the ingredients onto this frozen metal sheet and they mix it. Then they spread it out real thin. Then they roll it. It's pretty fun to watch. The ice cream also tastes really good. Very rich and creamy. I asked for "a lot of whipped cream" and they certainly delivered, lol. You can see my pictures. My husband's has the regular amount of whipped cream and mine has extra ;) Service was very friendly. You order and pay with the Cashier near the cafe and cakes area, then you take your receipt and let the Ice Cream Roller know what your order was. The ice cream takes a while to prepare, so I can see how the wait would be long if it were busy. They sell coffee and tea, as well as cake slices (I think the cakes are from Dufflet Pastries from Toronto). It's a really cute place to hang out or for a date.
