Stopped by this spot for the first time today. Ordered a Mikes Special ($9). And WOW! It was fresh, and wonderfully made. The bread was amazing! Plus the size of this sandwich was huge! If you eat the whole thing you won't eat for another day! They had a wide variety of sandwiches so I am going back to try them all! This place was a typical quick service breakfast deli. Their bagles are not the NY bagles you may be looking for as they are thicker and doughier than regular bagles. They apparently have bialys, though they were out by the time we got there around 11 on a Sunday. Locals apparently like this place as it was very busy. I had their $5 breakfast of meat egg and cheese on a bagel with coffee. I understand the speed and convenience of them using a microwave to cook the eggs which I am not a fan of. With their microwaved eggs and bagels with the consistency more like a roll I won't be returning. read more

I have been coming here for several years (10+) since I was a little girl and have watched Bagel World change owners a few times throughout that course. There was a time period when the business was heading downhill a bit in my opinion, and ever since Mike took it over a couple years ago, it has turned around and now it is even better than I ever remember it as a little girl! Mike is one of the nicest business owners I have ever met. He puts each customer first and is constantly knocking out high quality and great-tasting bagel sandwiches. Not to mention, he is very creative and can put together unique combinations depending on your likings. My go-to is the Eggel Bagel (egg, your choice of bacon, sausage, or ham - I like ham!, and cheese) on a Jalapeño or Asiago bagel. The meat and the cheese are cooked together in the egg, so it creates a melt-in-your-mouth good combination. You can also order deli sandwiches, but I can't get myself to venture out from the Eggel Bagel - it's that good! I think it's only $4.50 too and comes with a fountain drink. No need to try any of the other bagel joints in the area - this is the best! You won't get service at any of the other ones like you do here! I would give this place a 5 star rating when it comes to the food. I had gotten the Nova Scotia Salmon and it was delicious. My rating comes to warn people who care about the COVID-19 crisis. The place is crowded. The staff do not wear masks and they do not expect anyone else to where a mask either. I do want to support the local businesses though. I just struggle with everything that has taken a political turn when it should just be about caring for your fellow man. Will go back once the virus is over. I ordered 3 everything bagels with scallion cream cheese to go, and he skimped on the cream cheese and all 3 are burned. Took them to go, and now I'm stuck with them. We have been coming to this place for 12 years, I have loved it from day one. My husband is a local and graduated from satellite, so this was one of his favorite haunts. When we got married and were in the middle of PCSing to fort hood he took me here. The quality has stayed the same great quality it always has. We came in with our masks to grab bagels Togo, same great service, blueberry crunch bagel is amazing as always. I just have to say today is my husband and mine 12 year wedding anniversary and on our way having no idea of this the owner gave us a lovely cinnamon roll, it was such a sweet gesture and he had no idea of the occasion. By far the worst bagel I've ever had. Doughy, stale and chewy. The decor is odd. Very dark and gloomy. Not very welcoming. I will say the staff is good, friendly and polite, Unfortunately the bagels are not. Price is really good though. Paid $11.00 for 3 custom bagels, But I guess you get what you pay for. Poor customer service. They lost me business. Would not recommend.They refused to write down my order then when it was incorrect they made me feel like it was my fault. I did not feel welcomed when I started my order. I ordered one plain bagel and they were like "is that it". I never felt so uncomfortable ordering a bagel. When this placed opened it was awesome. Since it was sold it has gone south. I started going to Corey's bagels which never disappoints. What a wonderful place for breakfast. We often go to the restaurant next door but decided to try out this bagel shop. I am so glad that we did. There is plenty of parking. The staff is wonderfully friendly and efficient. You order at the counter and they bring it to the table. There is limited seating but the inside is very nice. They have a great breakfast deal: a bagel egg sandwich and a drink for $5.00. I had a cinnamon raisin bagel - egg/bacon sandwich. It was excellent. First time at Bagel World this past weekend and very pleased! So glad there's a great bagel spot I can stop by on my way to the beach. The interior is brightly decorated and has a good amount of seating, but most of their morning traffic appeared to be to-go orders. We each ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich (their deal for $5 includes a drink) and were very satisfied. I'm deducting one star for just some minor efficiency things that I think are easily remedied---like some sort of direction as to where the line should be and who hasn't ordered vs who is waiting, as well as putting a little label or sign in front of each type of bagel noting what they are ( a few folks were asking---what's this one? This is a great place if you like hearty sandwiches for lunch on a bagel, sub roll, or regular bread. The owners are friendly and attentive, and the place is always clean, and the food is always super fresh. Their subs rock, and are on par with Subway prices (talking foot-long meals here, not the sissy 6-inchers). They also make excellent and gigantic salads! Seating can fill-up quick during lunch times, so plan to get there a bit early or have a late lunch. If you get caught in a line, it moves quick, so no worries there. If you can handle the heat, they have a couple of outdoor tables as well, allowing you to enjoy the ambiance of traffic on South Patrick Drive. This is a great place to pick-up "eggel bagels" for breakfast as well, and let's not forget their selection of ice creams for desert (if you have the room)! If you become a regular, be prepared for generous toppings on your sandwiches. Depending on your appetite, you can always share your meal with someone else or take it home for later nom noms. Perfect local fresh bagels. Only thing is that you got to get there early enough to pick and choose from thevariety of bagels, or you will get left with their basic clean, whole wheat, garlic/onion, everything, blueberry, and some sort of cinnamon sugar. I also like to point out that I purchased an Apple cinnamon muffin ( it was a really tasty filling muffin) with a side of peanut butter.... That cost me $1.25 for little condiment size. I thought that was a bit ridiculous. I ate all my baked goods. Then, I also brought some home for my family. I placed my half eaten muffin wrapped in the bag with all my bagels, by the time I got home my bagels are stale. This is because the muffin absorbed all the moisture from the bagels. After a stop at the beach to see the Surfing Santas on Christmas Eve, I thought a warm toasted bagel would be wonderful. I like to support small businesses when I can so I gave this place a chance. It's located in a small strip shopping center and the signage was excellent along with the painted windows advertising specials. What I found upon entering was a warm decor with several pub tables and wooden chairs. The signs stated they were open until 2 pm, however it was blatantly obvious that they didn't prepare enough bagels. Definitely not a bagel WORLD, not even a bagel village! There were only 5 bagels left in the case at 11:15. The choice was onion or garlic bagels. That's it. Quite inadequate selection. The bagels were large and tasty. They could have been more generous with the cream cheese. They were out of scallion cream cheese so I settled for plain. Again, it doesn't seem that they put in much effort to be open today. Sure, I get it's Christmas Eve, but if they didn't want the business they should have just not opened for the day. Don't think I'll be stopping at this place again when I'm in the area. read more
