This was my first visit and Paul did an amazing job on my hands and feet! They soak your feet in Epsom salt, tea tree oil, lemon and other natural ingredients. It smelled like a delicious tea! So relaxing and he was a perfectionist making sure everything was perfect and to my liking! They also have a pedicure called Margarita which is like the drink and yes you actually get a healthy version of a margarita to drink! What a perfect afternoon treat for yourself! I'm bringing my husband and son; my mom on her next visit to the area! Such a nice relaxing place! No chemicals!! Parking is hard so park in the lot across the street. Such an adorable place! I'm guilty of being obsessed with all things green/natural/organic and nail salons are especially hard to find. Ok ok, I know there's no true "non toxic" nail polish out there, but the cleanest option ;) Most nail salons will say they're organic but really it's just a typical salon with acrylics being put on next to you, tons of times, non organic drugstore products, but a "5 Free" nail polish option. Boom. Organic. This place is the real deal. All natural products, no acrylics, tons of Zoya polishes, and they couldn't be nicer! Dan is the man!!! Like many, I have driven by this place many times while cruising the 101. Quite honestly I probably wouldn't have ever stopped in if it wasn't for my girlfriend buying me a gift certificate here for my birthday. Due to the coziness of this nail salon an appointment is highly recommended as there are probably only like 3 nail technicians working here at once. PROS: very very thorough job, they clean and scrub your feet until they are silky smooth, the massage is heavenly, the nail polish lasts, relaxing atmosphere, comfy feel and friendly nail technicians :) CONS: a pedicure takes almost 90min, your butt can start to get sore from sitting too long, parking on the weekends and for some price. I found this place via some of my mommy friends. I have been looking for a more "natural" pedicure experience with non-toxic chemicals and Beachy Toes definitely delivers! They use Zoya polish with fun colors and which has lasted longer than any of my other pedicures over the years. They are tucked away in a hair salon in the Cedros district. It's a two person team and both are very friendly, although I have only gotten a pedicure from Paul. Paul is EXTREMELY thorough and professional. Seriously, it's such a nice change to get a pedicure from someone who actually seems to enjoy what they do and take pride in their work. He uses fresh cut fruit and other natural ingredients for the soak, scrubs and masks. My toes always look and feel amazing and the best part is try last forever!! I come all the way from Escondido just to escape and relax. It's definitely worth the drive. I only wish there was a way to clone this place and have one in North Inland county as well! read more

Not only did he get me in for a last minute "express" pedicure (which felt like a normal one), he drove me back to the train station that was literally a hop skip and a jump away, so I wouldn't miss my train to LA. Lasette and Paul at Beachy Toes are amazing! Their friendly and professional attitudes are refreshing among the nail industry. I love that they use Zoya polish- the quality and colors are great. They take such care with each pedicure- evidenced by the fact that they last forever! I surf and am constantly in the salt and sand and my toes still look great after a few weeks. I also enjoy the awesome massage. Recently I went to another "typical" nail salon for convenience (I have a baby). I was in and pushed out in 25 min and the paint literally chipped the next day. Lasetta is the owner and is AMAZING as a manicurist but also as a person. I came in today amidst all the chaos going on. Since the location allowed for a private appointment I took full advantage. I highly recommend Beachy Toes to everyone. Will be returning for more treatments and recommending to all of my friends and family! I actually would have rated this place with three stars because despite what I'd definitely characterize as a substandard pedicure, the owner and manager were very nice people. But rating it three stars would imply that it's a "better than average" experience... and it wasn't. It was also only their first week open, so I'll give them that... maybe they'll improve. However, especially BECAUSE it was their first week open and because their charge for a standard pedicure is nearly double what I've paid at my regular place (just 1.5 miles away) for years, I definitely expected more. I was drawn to Beachy Toes because of its organic focus and proximity to my house. And it is a darling place... they've done a really nice job setting it up. Your foot soak is in a sterilized resin tub, so the typical concerns about the massage chair tubs are not an issue here. My problem... and why I issued two stars... is that the quality of the pedicure was the lowest I've had in a very long time (maybe ever). It was a huge letdown. I've never had a $35 (pre-gratuity) pedicure before and I was really looking forward to whatever special treatment it might include. In reality, though, here are the specifics about what ended up being: - A nice soak in soothing warm lemon water. This part was great, but not necessarily any better than the usual. - A nice cucumber scrub. This part was great! - A nice scrub of the bottom of my feet to remove all the dead skin. Also great! - No trimming of nails (which really wasn't needed so it's okay) or cuticles (was definitely needed and wasn't done). - Very minor and inadequate filing of toenails. - A really, really, really poor job of painting toenails. I mean, really, I almost wanted to take it off and re-do it myself (and I suck at painting toenails... hence my willingness to pay for pedicures). She missed such a large corner of one of my big toenails that I had to ask her to please paint it (which she did, willingly). Then after she was done, upon further inspection, I found that she'd missed the edges on almost all of my toes. So, while I was waiting for my friend to finish her pedicure, I went ahead and got the polish back off the shelf and touched it up myself. She noticed me doing this but did not offer to fix it for me. I get pedicures regularly and my usual $21 pedicure lasts at least three weeks without showing signs of chipping, even with my extremely active lifestyle. But this pedicure? Well good lord. It's less than 48 hours old and it's chipping like crazy. I'm disheartened. :-( What a bummer. I have a wedding to go to on Friday and I guess I'll be heading up to my usual nail place for a polish change. Or maybe a new pedicure altogether. read more

So I went to Beachy Toes for mani-pedis for the entire bridal party before the rehearsal. Lizette and Paul were fantastic at getting all of us in and making sure all of us were out in time for the rehearsal. First off, their new space is fantastic. Its in its own quiet building that is large enough to fit a party of 5 plus Lizette and Paul. The space is very relaxing a pulls inspiration from the beach. Second, they only use organic products. Sugar scrubs and cocoanut oil massages. Everything smells amazing and you dont feel like you have been sitting in chemicals all day. All the nail polish is also organic so there is no horrible smell. Third, Lizette and Paul are both very friendly and personable. Lizette helped me plan the event while I was in Los Angeles. Paul made sure everyone got a great foot massage with their pedicure. Finally, I loved my mani-pedi. My fingernail polish lasted for about a week (which for me is a record for not having gel). Also my feet felt amazing throughout the wedding. If I am ever back in Encinitas, I would definitely book another mani-pedi with Paul and Lizette. They really are high quality in a serene quiet environment. read more

Beachy toes is the best nail salon I have ever been to. It is tucked away in a cottage in Leucadia. Lasette does a amazing job on my manicure/pedicure and give you a wonderful hand and foot massage to go with it. She soaks your feet in lemons, epsom salt and other natural ingredients. Lasette does such a excellent job, takes her time and creates such a relaxing and calm atmosphere. The Zoya polish she uses is such high quality and lasts several weeks on your hands and feet. Lasette is very professional and is very passionate about her job and business. I have a great experience every time I go to her nail salon. I am always able to get a appointment on a routine monthly basis and when I have a special occasion she is able to fit me in. read more

I believe I found this place a year ago by doing a internet search for natural nail salons in San Diego . Its so nice that there is no chemical smell , that makes you want to wear a doctors mask covering your mouth and nose while getting your nails done . Its the most expensive nail salon I ever went to , but Its well worth it! The staff is friendly and efficient. And its soo worth the price because the chemical free nail polish last TWICE as long as other salons. I usually get a french pedicure for 40$ and tip 10 . The other day out of connivence I went to a salon in PB while I was there , and I couldnt help but compare it to this place . This place is Cute , small and homey . Once you go here you , it will be hard to go anywhere else . I will be moving to LA soon , but I will be coming here once a month to get my pedicure . I decided to get a mani/pedi. Be sure to get it if you want an hour and a half of bliss! The salon is bright and cheery and the staff is friendly. I called ahead and made an appointment. Make sure you make an appointment to avoid waiting. I started off with a warm lemonade soak on my feet which felt wonderful! Then my feet were cleaned and buffed. Next I received a brown sugar scrub followed by a wash and hot towel dry. Then she lotioned my legs up to my knees. It felt great! Then she painted my toes, picking out an awesome hot pink color to match my outfit. After, she soaked my hands in warm lemonade bath, followed by a brown sugar scrub and lotion. My hands and feet were smelling nice and sweet! We decided to go with a different color for my hands, lighter shade of pink. I was in a hurry so I felt bad for rushing my girl. Next time I will plan it out so that I can relax and not worry about other time constraints. This place is pretty pricey for a mani/pedi but the natural ingredients make it worth it! read more

I went here for a pedicure with a few friends of mine.It was a nice and relaxing pedicure with organic ingredients that smelled wonderful. The way the place was decorated was just adorable. I love incorporating the beach theme with organic ingredients. That's just how we do it up in the north county coastal area! It was a little warm inside (they have killer skylights that are great for decorating, but hard on temperature!). They moved some personal schedules around to accommodate all of us being there because they usually don't have 3 people there on Saturday. That is the only reason they didn't get 5 stars - I personally would think that Saturdays, and the potential for walk-ins on a Saturday, would be very high, so staff with that expectation! I just moved back into the area and have walked by Beachy Toes several times. Finally popped in there for a pedicure, and so glad I did. Such a sweet staff, they take their time and do a great job. I'm really impressed with their non toxic products/organic approach and will definitely be a regular there from now on.
