I came in to see Karen for highlights and got a full bleach job! She seemed to be in a rush to get to her work Christmas party. She fee painted it and it looked awful! I contacted her soon after and she said she could touch it up, however this bleach job was beyond a touch up. She then would not return any of my text messages, as this is how she requested to be contacted. I also asked her for a full or partial refund, since she ruined my hair. No response!!!!!! read more

Lesa is the best! I came in today and was the only person in the salon. This place is a hidden gem! I got a gel mani and regular pedi. Lesa was so detailed and thorough! She gave me the longest foot/leg massage I've had during a pedicure; such a treat! She helped me pick a color for valentines and introduced me to a French ombre style that's super cute. This is my second time getting pink and white acrylics from Victoria and this is definitely my new go-to nail salon. They're all extremely friendly, do a beautiful job, and do the best to give you what you're asking for. The whole process of getting a fill and new acrylics are less painful now - the normal salon I went to, they weren't so careful when taking off the acrylics and filing it down. I just make sure to set an appointment up prior to going since they are all fairly busy. But for good reason - I love my pink and whites and will definitely be coming back. read more

Happened to be in town and picked Polished Images for a trim based on the great reviews here. I was not disappointed with my choice! Denise took the time to understand how my hair is normally styled, where my heavy spots of hair are that cause me to have little body, etc. She was thorough and knew her stuff about providing an excellent layered cut for my long hair. She was a sweetheart and pleasure to talk to. She gave me tips for getting my hair styled just the way I like it, without tons of product. I have had $200 hair cuts in LA that were not this good- the cut is great, the styling is soft and breezy how I like it. I wish I lived here to come back more often! read more

This review is regarding the hairstylist "J". When I first came to J my hair was thick, healthy, waist length with traditional blonde highlights. I had this style/cut/color for over a decade by my former stylist. Since my old stylist moved, I needed to find someone new. At first J did a great job achieving a blonde traditional highlight. But I found it odd she never wrote down or remembered my formula. Over the course of 18 months, my hair kept getting blonder and more straggly. The low lights from my natural color disappeared. I was all over this yellow, brittle stringy thin blonde look. With all the damage my thick blunt cut had morphed into tangly sticky shard like pieces. I brought this to her attention which she dismissed hair loss/breakage to the shampoo/condition/other products I had been using for several decades as the cause of all of the sudden hair issues, but more than happy to promote the salons products as a solution. Someone I know who had also been going to J was also experiencing the same issues. AND THEN I SAW THE TRUTH .... On my last visit, I saw in the mirror her overlapping bleach with the ph-bonder stuff she gloats about using. I asked her about it and she says she only overlaps to cover up any longer dark hairs (I get traditional highlights which means there should be low lights you weave around and don't beach, AND YOU NEVER SHOULD OVERLAP BLEACH even on the bleached highlight growth) ... OMG BAM !!!!! She was overlapping and giving me full color by not sticking to a weaving pattern. After she threw some sparkly crap toner (again which I never needed in the past decade), then my hair could take no more - Extreme breakage, fuzzy crown, tangles from broken hair. When I drove back to the salon in horror, she did not admit to doing anything wrong yet despite seeing the damage. She acted like my hair was normal and what was happening was normal... just take some vitamins. I went elsewhere for my next hair highlight, and they were mortified at the damage. They were shocked that someone (with alleged years of experience) would overlap bleach, and then continue to do so each session despite seeing the damage and probably clumps of hair in the wash bowl. They also indicated she may have been straightening my hair while still damp which actually has the effect of boiling it. I will never go back to J. read more

I've been going to Polished Images for a few years. I LOVE it! The décor is ultra modern and it is just a warm friendly place to be. I look forward to my nail appointment with owner, Sherri Webb. She is a professional in every way. I am usually coming from my workout and she always keeps me supplied with water. So thoughtful. She always has the latest nail colors for me to try. You should see what I have on my toes right now, a hip orange number that pops. I'm getting lots of compliments. All the employees in this salon are at the top of their game. I have personal knowledge of Karen's skill as a stylist and make up artist. She will make you look like a movie star. I always watch the work that the stylists and nail technicians do as I find it fascinating. They are really good. They are right by the outlet mall and Tip Top Meats so check them out. Sheri Webb (the owner) is very kind and attentive, she's the best. She opened the Day Spa next door a few years ago, the Zen felling is immediate when you walk through the door. Melanie, the colorist I went to at Polished Images has a lot to learn about courtesy. I was referred to her by a wonderful friend who would be appalled at the way Melanie 'brushed me off'. Completely unprofessional and as you see, I'm very much the businesswoman and have yet to know the reason why she didn't return my 13 phone messages begging her to call me back so I could have my black roots touched up. She is a good colorist and her price is very fair and she probably has more than enough business if she's able to be so rude to so many people, but there's no excuse for treating someone rudely when all they need is an explanation why so they understand and apologize if that's in order. I'd like to say it was all about me, but the next colorist doing my hair refused to do it after I told her what happened with Melanie. It seems she knows her and said she has a very bad temper and didn't want to get mixed up with Melanie! All I can say is 'Buyer Beware' because we girls count on these relationships for maintenance and to just ignore a client is absolutely beyond rude. read more

I finally had a chance to get a massage, facial and 30 min in the sauna and it was very relaxing. Everything was wonderful. I will defiantly go back again. I have only had one other facial but this one really agreed with my sensitive skin. I was given some nice chai tea as I filled out my paperwork. It is a nice dark soothing atmosphere. I tried this salon and spa because j was looking for a one stop shop. I liked amber who cut my hair a few times but apparently she has since moved on. I was unimpressed with the spa. To me, this is not a spa. You can hear everything that people in the other areas of the space are saying and it is not relaxing at all. The facial room is outdated and the ceiling was hideous to look at. Again, not the relaxing spa environment I was looking for. The esthetician I saw, Haley, was nice but I was unimpressed with they eyebrow wax she did. I had to go home and pluck the rest of the hairs she missed both times! I just discovered Polished Images and fell in love with both the salon and the spa! It's such a relaxing environment with a friendly staff! I recently had the Keratin treatment done with April and she did an amazing job! She was friendly, attentive and my hair came out beautiful! What used to take me 35/40 minutes to blow dry and straighten my hair, now takes me 15/20 and comes out better than before. I've also gotten my eyebrows waxed with Kathy in the spa and she was equally as friendly and attentive as April. Kathy took her time and made sure it was a calming environment. I would also recommend booking the sauna while you are there, it's not like the wet saunas where you feel like you can't breath, it's relaxing and easy to stay in for a good amount of time. I have also been to the Day Spa, which is next door for several different treatments(ie.facials, waxing and spray tans). I have never left either the Spa or Salon dissappointed. I took advantage of April's $99 cut and highlight. While the cut was well done, I feel April was more concerned about promoting her music career than she was about my highlight. I sat with foils on for nearly an hour while she discussed her music career with another client next to me. Additionally, she must have double booked, because while my hair was getting fried, she had another client come in for a hair cut. I have never complained about my hair before, after all, its just hair. But her unprofessionalism and lack of courtesy, was inexusable. I purchased a package to use the Infrared saunas. I have chronic back pain etc and the saunas really helped! It's a wonderful experience.
