There is too much that can be said about this place. Winston, Kevin, Romeo and Travis are incredible. When you walk into the shop you are greeted warmly and included into conversations even while you wait, which really only adds to the experience. The conversation is rich and everyone in the shop is incredibly friendly and adds to the dialogue freely. The guys genuinely care about how you look and will actually give you an honest opinion and suggestions on how you should get your cut. No more shots in the dark with how you look, they won't let you leave unless you look great and feel great. I've been meaning to write this review for ages! First off, I'll say that--I. Miss. Kevin. I went to this place for several months before moving away, and I have yet to find anyone who is more trustworthy and meticulous. When I first went there, I was trying to recover from a really, really bad cut I had gotten from sportclips (I know, I know). Kevin took the time to talk with me about what I wanted that day, and what I wanted long term for my hair and we made a plan. I was immediately at ease with him (which is difficult for me in barber shops, since I'm a girl). In fact, I was always at ease in the shop. The banter between the guys is so funny, and everyone is super chill. I've never seen anyone walk out of there with a bad haircut. Had another flawless visit today. As usual, I was greeted by "the team" of barbers. Took my seat and waited my turn listening to good music in the background (not too loud, not too low, just right). I was able to listen to the always funny banter and was able to pitch-in my comments. I waited while Kevin cut a little bot's hair all done while the boy was crying. He did a great job with him with the help of a lollipop.:-) My turn came and Mason, again, cut my hair, trimmed my beard, shaved my neck all the while keeping a good conversation with me and his colleagues. It all came out great. I have been going to Beacon ever since I moved to the area three years ago. I have had cuts from every barber there and have always left a very satisfied customer. The guys look so dapper, that you almost feel like you've gone back in time when you walk in. Real gentlemen, bow ties and all. Decor is era-correct and really sets this shop apart from others. I have been going to this shop for a while now, since my regular barber, Mason, started working here. Mason always does an amazing job catering to my needs and he is really intuitive when it comes to understanding what I want done EXACTLY as I explain it. I have gone to a few of the other barbers that work here when Mason was busy- bottom line is they are all very talented and professional. You can tell they every barber practices the craft in a very traditional way. They take cleanliness and procedure very seriously and have a deep level of care, as well as a real passion for doing things the right way. A lot of barbers at other shops just don't really care and it seems like they just want to get you in and out as long as it is close enough to what you wanted. I have had experiences at other shops where they won't even acknowledge having taken out CHUNKS or missed lines, Etc. That is far from any experience I have ever had here. The last thing I can say is that if you are looking for a barbershop where any barber will take care of you and get it right and you don't have to worry about one of them not caring or giving their full attention, look no further.
