Ashton made me very comfortable and although I don't ever mind silence, we had something to talk about the whole appointment and the conversation was a vibe. My haircut came out exactly what I asked for and because of that I'm leaving a good review. Everyday I look at my hair and love it! Thank you Ashton :) Also someone else stepped in to do my fade. Can't see it in the pictures but she was so kind, correct me if I'm wrong but I think her name was Elizabeth? She is so kind and generous. The quality in the salon is 5 stars. From the sage, to the crystals, affirmations, dried rose petals in the bathroom, essential oils making the entire salon therapeutic. The vibe and energy was spot on if you're looking for a space with good energy and cleansing space to get your hair cut. A plus, is the crystals that they sell and the herbal handmade products. I bought the herbal face wash for $15 and Kristi the salon owner recommended one for me, I've been using it for three days and I love it! I DO NOT recommend booking with Alana. She took 6 hours to do super chunky highlights on my hair that frankly I could've done myself. I had been super specific with her about wanting a lived in balayage with a money piece and not only was I talked over when I was explaining what I wanted, when she was done and I told her why it wasn't what I wanted she told me she didn't remember what I told her I wanted. I gave her a second chance to fix it and ended up walking away with worse hair than I did before. She is rude and does not listen to what you want so if you want something that requires more skill, try another salon. Picked this salon based on the very good reviews and I wish they booked me with a professional hairdresser that specializes with what I specifically asked for which was face framing, long layers and curtain bangs. The haircut also took more than an hour which is pretty long especially for just a haircut with no washing and styling. Alana got me an appointment quick. But it took 6 hours to get my hair done. All I wanted was some blond highlights. I walked out the same as I looked when I walked in, except my scalp was on fire. She combed my hair with a metal comb for a very long time while the toner was in and I don't even know why. She even said I know this hurts. I think she got off on my pain or something. I don't know. My stylist was Alana-she went above and beyond to take care of me. She is highly skilled and such a kind and incredibly compassionate person. Literally just got out of the Pink Blossom Salon in a high spirit! Got my long overdue highlights & haircut done today and I can't be happier. This place really deserves to go back to! This was my first time at Pink Blossom Salon and no wonder they got high ratings. Lets start with the scheduling... I scheduled via Yelp and Kristi, the owner was able to accommodate me timely. The place... ambiance is nice - room is bright and it is just around the corner of the street with nice large windows that you can look outside and street watch. All the hairstylists are very friendly and warm, I can see most clients are regular and at ease. Me being a first timer, feels like I've been there as a regular. Everyone were really nice! Now about my hair... I LOVE IT!!!! I had my hair cut from long to really short and had it highlighted in my lightest highlights so far. Big shout out to JENNI CRUZ who did a wonderful job on it! She even did a root touch to blend my highlights with roots well (sorry Jenni, I'm not good at remembering terms but I'll probably remember what it's called the next time I visit). She is so friendly and walked me through with what she will and was doing. She is so polite, professional and very friendly! She's also took and sent me a picture of the final touch. OKAY HERE WE GO. I met Savannah today, my first time at this salon and she was AMAZING!! On time. Super friendly. Talkative but not talking my ear off. Also didn't gossip with other stylists the whole time like some do. Every thing she did from The bleach, dye, and cut, she explained exactly what she was going to do and why so we were both very clear on what was happening. Just really great customer service overall. She took my hair from a medium/dark brown with 2" roots to an even all over light copper and it looks stunning! The color came out exactly as I wanted. The cut is beautiful. I would highly recommend her to anyone and I will be back. This place has great reviews so I am sure there are great stylists here, but mine was not one of them unfortunately. Giving all my curly girls a warning... first ask if the stylist has ACTUAL experience cutting curly hair. Run away if you get someone who is inexperienced or you'll end up feeling foolish like I do. I am trying to review fairly because the owner did respond to me quickly and squeezed me in for a hair appointment before Christmas. However I ended up with someone inexperienced and it really is my fault for letting her cut my hair without asking the curly girl question. My shorter layers were not trimmed at all to remove all the split ends and this blunt cut I was given made me look like Lord Faarquad from Shrek. Cierra was able to do beautiful makeup for each of bridesmaids and alter her process so that each women felt comfortable. Honestly very disappointed in this hair cut. My stylist was very nice, however there must have been some confusion in what I wanted. I had very long hair and requested 2-3 inches off, no layers, and one even length.This is the result when the curls were brushed out,washed, and air dried. I was hoping not to go this short and was only wanting a couple inches off. I went back to the salon and the stylist did try to cut it even free of charge. It does look alot better than the original cut, but I do still see a uneven hairs still (proably from the layers). Maybe it was an off day, but I will not be returning to the salon. I went in yesterday for a color correction, my hair was very light brown on top and the mid to lower half of my hair was a faded redish color (which was done by my now ex-stylist a week ago). I loved the vibes!! Jenni did my hair and she was sassy and funny, and we had really fun conversation WHILE she did a phenomenal job on my hair! I wanted brighter, cooler blonde, and I chopped quite a bit. Both the color and the cut are wonderful! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, and why I waited to post my review, was because I wanted a color that I didn't have to maintain.
