Stopped by BCR today for the first time ever and absolutely loved it! The place smelled amazing, it has a very chill atmosphere, the staff were awesome and the drinks + food were great! I'd been meaning to stop by for nearly a year, but always put it off. Glad we finally made it in today! Reasonably priced, there's artwork and stickers from local artists that are available for purchase, some board games to pass the time, outlets everywhere if you need a charge or to study and ample seating if it's just you or a group of friends! Next to the Conoco gas station we hit, to avoid a fill-up on our return to the Butte Anaconda area. The exterior looks a little run down or rustic. The interior seems cozy and rustic as well. Grabbed a 20 ounce oatmeal latte, mint tea and a chia pudding with frozen berries. The oat milk latte, 4 shots of espresso in it. The espresso coffee is good. The mint tea isn't too bad. The berries were not fresh, thawed from a frozen state. The chia pudding isn't bad. It definitely looked better on the shelf than it tastes. Around $14 for the latte, tea and chia pudding. read more

Came in for a chai, this place was recommended to me by a friend. This chai is the best I have ever had! I saw the blueberry goat cheese panini and had to try it. It is amazing and so flavorful and delicious. Amazing place and the barista was quick and polite. Love the ambiance that makes this place feel welcoming and fun! (Side note, I dont have a car and I am currently supposed to not do much physical exercise but after the first time I had the chai the need for it was too much and I biked over to get myself a treat. So so SO good. Got their pumpkin spice latte and my sister got their hot chocolate. The flavors are rich but not overpowering, the quality is noticeably superior to other cafes, and we got our drinks hot and in a matter of 3 minutes despite it being a full house. I really love this place, I go here a lot during the week and enjoy doing work there every now and again. I love their chai and their paninis as well. That being said, most of the time when I go in, this girl with darker, curly hair serves me, and every time without fail she is incredibly cold. I always feel like it's the biggest inconvenience that I order a coffee, and she always looks like she's so annoyed with the fact she has to do her job. I though maybe it was just me, but when I've stayed and gotten work done while I'm there, I see the way she interacts with other guests as well and she acts the same way, very annoyed, incredibly frustrated that she has to do work. I make sure to never order a panini while she's working either, because she puts them in for only about 4 minutes and they are always still cold. I have stopped going here simply because of her. When I order a coffee, I don't enjoy feeling like an inconvenience, that is no way to treat customers. read more

I really like this coffee shop because it's close to school, has decent coffee, and good pastries. The atmosphere is nice, however the area is usually dirty. Also, there is one specific barista who is consistently rude to customers. Today I asked for a pastry to be heated up and she said to me, "are you fucking kidding me?" And once it was heated up she slammed it back towards me. The next person in line was having trouble with her wallet or something and the same barista said to her, "will you taking your change already? Jesus Christ." I have never had a problem with any other barista, but this one is super rude and I don't know why. All customers I've seen interact with her have been very polite and she has been horribly rude in return. I would highly suggest this place, but avoid the short blonde with long hair if you can. read more

The moment you walk in the whole place smells so amazing! The staff is incredibly friendly and the coffee is delicious of course. The inside is decorated to make a cute and cozy atmosphere without being overly crowded. They also have a variety of posters supporting local business and programs, showing how committed they are to the community. They even have a poster about resisting to vote. International Coffee (or "ICT") is a hippity-hoppin' place when classes are in session -- so much so that often it is downright impossible to find a place to sit (and the cement floor is not exactly an appealing option). While empty space, lush ferns, and enormous windows offer a fairly relaxing atmosphere, there could certainly stand to be more seating for us college kids and our lovely laptops. The coffee, roasted on site, is excellent (or "muy excellente," in the international parlance). The drip coffee is pleasantly dark and not too acidic, and the specialty drinks never disappoint. Also, the water (of all things) is insanely delicious and refreshing, kept with ice in a giant glass dispenser and infused with cucumbers, lemons, and/or strawberries! However, you could probably watch an episode of Game of Thrones in the time it takes to fill a whole glass (i.e. it is a very slow dispenser). Overall, a fantastic place to drink coffee and study, have a casual conversation, or just watch the snowflakes fly. If you can find a seat, of course. read more

Slow! Good, but slow! I ordered two shots of espresso in an 8 oz. cup and waited a solid 15 minutes. There was only one barista, no line, and during the time I waited I only saw two drinks go out, a chai and an iced Americano. I don't understand why it took so long. As a barista myself I can say average drink turn around time is around 2 minutes. The coffee was good, but I simply don't want to be standing around for so long. And the space is a bit sparse, a big concrete expanse that isn't that interesting when you're stuck standing there for a while waiting. :/ read more

I am an out of towner, and have made International Coffee Traders my go-to coffee and breakfast place for the past 3 weeks. The staff are very friendly! Even though I was only there for 3 weeks, they would remember my order! The restaurant itself is nice, and has a modern industrial design. Food is good... my favourite snack is the banana muffin. Coffee is great too, and they have plenty of milk alternatives (soy and almond milk), which is important for a lactose intolerant person, like myself. They also have wifi! Cute interior, limited selection of (affordable!) coffees, but quality is lacking for sure. If they dial in their espresso and roasting this has a ton of potential. I asked about the roast level of the coffee I was buying and they said "it depends on how they roasted it that day". International Coffee Traders is one of my favorite spots to drink coffee. I love drinking black drip coffee and International Coffee Traders has some of my favorite coffee. They make great coffee, but I didn't know that I had great coffee waiting for me because I sat for about fifteen minutes before finally giving up and asking the barista where it was (at this point in time, she was standing behind the counter, looking at her phone, drinking her own coffee). She barely glanced up at me and said that it had been waiting for me the whole time...just around the corner of the bar. She stated that she had "called it out," but clearly if the drink was sitting there for fifteen minutes, I hadn't heard?! It was cold by the time I picked it up. She was entirely uninterested in helping me or just being decent and telling me that the coffee was sitting right there. On a smaller note, the wifi cuts out a lot, and no one seems to care/know what to do/want to know what to do. This makes doing homework here pretty difficult. read more

Great coffee... If you make it yourself at home. Been coming here for a while now, the new staff has served me decaf multiple times when I ordered regular. I tip every time, try to be friendly and they just seem to be terrible at their jobs no matter how you act. You've lost a customer that has spent a lot of money here. Train your staff. If I don't like a customer at my job I would get fired for purposely serving the wrong order. read more
