I've been hoping to get a nice local Montana pottery mug and I found the perfect one here. There's a variety of kitchen items and little decorations- a little pricey but worth it. The woman who sold me the pottery was so nice and welcoming! Of course there's coffee and treats too. I had a pumpkin spice latte and the flavor was subtle but very good. This is a perfect spot to find a great gift or have a little treat after hiking.

Had we not just eaten, I would have gotten some other stuff to try. I regret not grabbing a loaf of bread to take on our travels. Stop by this friendly bread shop you won't be disappointed.

I have to say Bunkhouse Brewery was one of my favorites here in town. I thought their beers were creative and more on the experimental side but what really drew me into one of their beers was an ESB (Extra Special Bitter) and the one I had had brown sugar in it which really put a great spin on this beer type I've had on a variety of occasions. The specific name for this beer is the Bozeman Pride ESB. The brown sugar in this beer tempers the bitterness and you can taste the brown sugar itself in the flavor profile. This gives the beer a great complexity which made this beer a super fun and memorable beer to enjoy and drink. I could easily delve in for another time and time again.

this is an amazing little gem. so glad to have found it! I love their drinks and their espresso is so good! plus it's locally owned from Montana and the baristas are always so happy. Anyone who complains about consistency is clearly used to some of the trashier corporate competitors where the machines do all the work and there is no room for love or character. read more

We went on Father's Day because a lot of higher rated places were closed. I don't know why it has low reviews. My mountain man latte was great. My husband got a oat latte which was good as well. They now don't greet you, just hand you cups without explanation, don't say "thanks for coming" or any engagement whatsoever. Oh, add to that the server this morning couldn't even remember two simple coffee orders so I had to repeat the second cup twice. The owner needs to take an interest and step up their hospitality training. There are too many other coffee shops between our house and this one that we've driven out of way to support for 5 years. I'll drive to Bozeman for coffee before I go back to Elk & Ember.

I'm not sure they had one, but the girl working that day recommended the white chocolate marshmallow latte. Her recommendation was perfect: enough caffeine to get the day started and enough flavor to make me miss the coffee taste. After drinking half the cup, my teeth were screaming for relief from the sweetness. I'm not sure if the buzz was from the caffeine or sugar, really. Despite that, it was well made, definitely addicting, and worth the extra drive-bys to find.

It's a typical…read moresmall town with a few stores, a combination gas station and convenience store and, without straying too far, an ideally placed coffee hut sharing the parking lot with the gas station. Broadway Brew, a coffee hut smaller than one of those tiny houses that are all the rage, has a big selection of coffee drinks that includes at least 40 flavors including the requisite Montana Huckleberry and the more seasonal pumpkin or peppermint. They also have a small selection of homemade baked goods because there's nothing like a lot of sugar with your caffeine along with the sugar in your caffeine if you're so inclined. The one person with whom I interacted, was nice, didn't rush me as I tried to figure out what I wanted (but then I was the only car in line), and put together a tasty caffeine filled treat to make the next leg of my journey go quickly (of course the speed limit in Montana also helped speed things along). It's a win-win. Sample small town life and get some well-made coffee, local style.
