I can only speak to the food quality, and it was terrible. Nothing was fresh. My group ordered 3 different things and they were all less than cafeteria quality. I've had burritos in San Diego and the burrito here by that name was an insult to the burritos in San Diego. Now that they have begun serving breakfast burritos at the time of opening...this is a true gem of a coffee shop located conveniently on Kagy. Terrific staff, drinks and food. True hospitality served up daily and active engagement from ownership which is always refreshing. Low key down to earth vibe, a welcome respite from the dirt and grime of the hipster coffee shops elsewhere in the valley. read more

I take my coffee pretty seriously and these folks do too. There's nothing better than hot coffee on a cold Montana day. I've tried many different coffee shops in Bozeman, and this one is my favorite for sure, maybe in all of MT. Excellent cappuccino, with perfect foam and nice strong espresso. The pastries are fantastic, too! I've had the scones before and they're terrific. Today I had a mocha brownie and WOWZA, was it good!! Some people think it's weird / off-putting that they share an entrance with a dry cleaners, but once you're inside... who cares?? Great coffee, great space to work or visit, and great service. They could pretty much share an entrance with any kind of business they wanted to and I'd still come back every time I'm in Bozeman! read more

Nice basic coffee shop. Disregard all the $$$$ in the description, prices are totally in line.

Cafe M has the best coffee in town, especially if you drink your coffee black. They make the best Americano in Montana, in my opinion. Get it in an 8oz. cup to stay, let it sit for a few minutes, then drink it within 10 minutes. They tend to use a roast that is a bit more mild, but still contains some complex flavors; fruit and floral notes. They love coffee, and it shows. read more

I took my mother to Cafe M last week (July 25th). I had a BLT and mom had a turkey sandwich - we both commented on how FRESH the ingredients were! We each planned on getting a dessert, but were so full we ended up splitting one of their gigantic coconut cookies which was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Service was prompt and they made sure to check back often. I love the decor and atmosphere of this place, and they showcase local artists! This is a non-pretentious place to go unwind and have a nice cup of coffee, latte or other. Formerly Rocky Mountain Roasters this place just keeps getting better. Although i have relocated this ,place will always hold a special place in my heart for the best place to go in Bozeman for a warm up from the cold. Is also a great place to meet with others, conduct some business or just take in a book. Great Owners with the attitude of continued focus on customer service. The east main location is my favorite. Great place for that last minute cappuccino as you leave town on your way to Chico Hot Springs. Don't miss it if you are visiting Bozeman. read more

Everyone is always cheery, even early in the morning (probably because they have caffeine on tap!). I often come in with multiple orders and no one has ever shown any frustration with my 5 different payments, and they take the extra step to make sure our drinks are marked clearly. Prices are what you expect, and I haven't had a bad sip of coffee yet. read more

It's pretty obvious that either a competitor or someone with a grudge of some kind wrote the negative review of Cafe M. A couple of us went to the shop on Kagy and found it a delightful experience. Not only does this place serve great coffee and baked goods, but they have taken great pains to create a comfortable and visually pleasing space through their choices of design, color and so forth. Further adding to the atmosphere are the works of art displayed by local artists, which will be changed each month. I can't wait to go to the Cafe M on Main Street (which used to be Rocky Mountain Roasting). I'd like to eat breakfast there and see what artwork they have hanging. :) read more

The most dour and cranky employees in Bozeman, they refuse to smile, learn your name or in anyway make a customer feel welcome. I would fire or retrain the entire staff. I teach a course on customer service and the employees on East Main fail in every category. read more

both locations are great and the atmosphere is just fine...however i haven't had the greatest experience with latte's and chai. the soy warm drinks are luke warm, and filled with waaaaaay too much foam, and as one who likes foam as part of the latte experience i write this...so for 4 or 5 bucks i consistently receive a 'sort of' hot drink even when i specify extra hot. i do not their chai choices and wish they would change brands. the cashiers have been both very friendly and personal to downright rude and obnoxious and i consider myself to be a fairly easy non demandingish kind of customer. read more
