It did help us out a little, but then when we got home from work it was tough because we had to give her all of our attention. I finally decided after she was approved for Medicaid and social security that I'll would put her in a memory care facility. It was best for her And my family. It was a lot safer that way. She can get all the cars she needed 24/7 . If something was to happen, at least there was someone there to help her. So I looked around town at many many places and visited them. Carrington court was the one for her. It's like a hotel when you first walk in. Tina was awesome when I came to check out the place. They also take them on field trips every Monday Bus ride around down) . They also do events and fun stuff at the State Fair and the zoo etc. They hold holiday dinners at Carrington court every year for family and friends to come. They usually always pick up when I call to check up on her. Her personal doctor that usually come check up on her once a week always contacts me and give me up dates and ask if I have any concerns. They have shared rooms or they also have a single room for them. It's a nice sizes rooms. Even the shared rooms are a decent size. I would totally recommend Carrington Court for your love ones.

The place is clean, very pretty, but the CNA staff have no business in this population. They have no relevancy to what the residents are going through, much less how to handle them. They have no understanding of adults or adult life. Or, how to handle adult and aging issues. Better training is a desperate need here. If your loved one is still sharp and just needs a little assistance, this is the place for them, if they need nurturing, caring, adult assistance, keep looking.

They didn't seem to genuinely care about the residents and occasionally seemed put out having to help them. The front desk was often unmanned, so our mother wandered off twice. One nurse gave her the wrong medicine. Another failed to contact us when she fell and hurt herself. She slept in her urine saturated bed occasionally, which the staff were supposed to check and change daily. Sometimes she wouldn't eat, as the food was "not great" which most residents agreed. It is very warm in the facility, as well. They have changed management, and hopefully will be fixing these issues soon.

This assisted living facility does not respect resident choice when it comes to selecting their own…read morephysician or managing their care. Residents are pressured to use the facility's preferred medical providers instead of being allowed to continue with their own trusted doctors. When families ask for flexibility or try to advocate for a different care plan, their requests are often dismissed. Assisted living should promote independence, dignity, and personal choice -- but this facility restricts those rights and puts its own preferences first.

I feel extremely fortunate to have found Crescent Senior Living Center in Sandy, UT. This facility is everything it claims to be and more. The staff is professional and extremely attentive to all of her needs. In addition to the facility being kept clean and comfortable, it offers almost daily activities for the residents to participate in and fosters a family-like atmosphere. I have been very happy with the Crescent Senior Living Center and the care they have provided my sister. I would strongly recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for quality care for a loved one.
