It is a cash cow with no intention of giving good care unless you feel like constantly contacting them and complaining. Don't expect anything else from this establishment.

We have lived at Cove Point for more than 3 years. It's time someone wrote a review more recent…read morethan 2021! The campus here is beautiful. Management is caring and attentive. It is a blessing that our meals and activities include those in assisted living. We can get to know others and enjoy time with them. During our stay, there have been a few in assisted living that were difficult, but we all understand dimentia. Several people who have very advanced cases have been removed to other facilities, but that is rarely needed. Assisted living is our Plan B. Should we require assisted living, we will not be among strangers when we move into it. Moving around and being with strangers is very difficult for people with declining brains. Activities here are excellent and appeal to so many interests. There are so many to choose from, religious, hobbies, physical activities, movies, etc. We always celebrate holidays very well. We love our independant apartments which have full kitchens and a washer & dryer. (In assisted living, the staff launders the clothing and the layout is somewhat different.) We find the food satisfactory and there are always substitute dishes if the main dish doesn't appeal. Family visits are always welcome as are visiting friends we may wish to bring to lunch or dinner. Residents love to introduce visiting families to other residents. There is a feeling of community here that is unbeatable. We have made many friends that we will always cherish. Cove Point is an older facility and may not have extra ammenities like swimming pools, etc., but it's the care of the staff and the loveliness of the residents that make this an excellent choice. She refused to accept any sort of instructions, rules, etiquette. She hounded other residents incessantly to get negative attention. Complain about her behavior, and she was rationalized as demented and if you react to her behavior and demand that she leave you alone and stay away from you, you were branded as delusional. That God the worst one passed away recently. I moved out and I will **never** return to Cove Point!

However, one shower nurse was very unkind to my mother! She made my mother's stay there and her recovery absolutely miserable! My mother was also treated very badly by the facility leadership. So I have mixed feelings about Stonhendge. And like I said, some of the nurses and physical therapists were just absolute angels to my mom. But some of the staff, including an extremely mean nurse, ruined the whole experience for my mother there. I don't understand why extremely cruel people like this nurse become CNA's? There's so many other (less stressful) occupations out there where you don't have to take your bad attitude out on vulnerable elderly people! WHY?

The staff was so attentive and treated my parents with so much respect and consideration. I also loved that there was low staff turnover so my parents were able to have the same people caring for them for years. This made a big difference in their day-to-day experience. The facility was lovely and their rooms were always spacious enough to make their own.

Sorry to hear of Kelene's review…read more My mother moved in on Nov 1, 2022. It was a big change for her after living in the same home for over 60 years. She is very happy with her new home. She asked my Sister, "Do I really get to live here the rest of my life?" We have found the management very nice and helpful. My mother has made many new friends and enjoys the activities. I have not talked to anyone who does not like living here.
