Squirrels were getting into our attic. He found trails in the insulation, and he identified four points of entry. He wrote up a proposal, and I thought the price was fair. I was impressed by his knowledge of the issue, and the quality of the work. I have some experience with other pest control companies in the past. Both were bigger companies, with owners then hiring guys to do the work. I like the model of this one better. I think we're working simpy with one, knowledgeable guy. He works in an unmarked truck. He's the guy -- he's the talent, and he knows his stuff.

Jeremy came back, assessed the situation, and came back with a clear plan of actions. He even got a dead decaying rat out of my car hood for me. He immediately found rat access points. They're not easy to find alone, and also requires going into dirty wet or nasty spaces. I mean Jeremy crawled under my deck, crawl space, checked out the attic. It's not an easy or clean job! Then spent a few weeks setting traps, blocking access points with hardware wire and concrete or flashing, and came by often to check traps, pick up dead rodents, and check activity. I went from rat problem to no rats in a few weeks. After confirming no activity, we sanitized my crawl space and redid parts of my insulation and vapor barrier - which had rat poo all over it. He also helped me block rat access to my shed. Jeremy was awesome, respectful, timely, responsible, and had an awesome can do attitude. Had a great experience and I'm happy to be rat free! Honestly not sure when the last time the whole air ducts were cleaned out. The price for the service is amazing honestly you get more for your money. We had a deep clean and sanitize. When I came home after the service was completed it smelled like a brand new home. I am so glad I reached out to The Duct Cleaners because I don't know if they could have done a better job than they did. The air is now so crisp and clean. We had them come out to just clean our dryer vent. They were here for 15 minutes total, never went…read moreinside to actually push the lint out of the vent. They only did the outside and when I asked him about going inside he said that is appliance issue. My husband ended up purchasing brushes on Amazon and cleaned the vent out from inside, which in turn made him have to clean it out from the outside again. Not to mention all the lint that it pushed through on the roof again. Very frustrating. I actually took a picture and emailed it to them with all the lint that was taken out but never got a response.

However, the final price I paid was higher than what I was told over the phone, and I was also promised a discount that I did not receive. I also wish there had been clearer information about what exactly is included in the service. Although the website lists the included tasks, the differences in pricing and service levels were not clearly explained. I hope the company will improve transparency around pricing, provide clearer communication, and that customer service will keep its promises in the future. Next time I will pay closer attention to the details.

The quote was online and I loved their written sales pitch…read more Service techs arrived at the tail-end of the window (10-12pm, arrived at 12:04pm) and I had to call/email to ensure they were indeed arriving. I prefer companies being proactive. Their verbal quote in person felt like bait-and-switch, as it was not anywhere near the online quote. I had turned down other options as I liked the online bid. I explained this to the techs, and they were able to "negotiate" a better price (slightly higher than my online bid) so it was not exactly what I expected. What I liked is the job was complete on the day I requested. The techs tried upselling me in person, didn't give me anything in writing, and kind of hesitated when I'd explained I wanted them to either take off their shoes or wear booties, as the floor was recently cleaned. Again, they did the job on the day I'd requested and came highly reviewed, but I still have not received a written receipt (it's been nearly a week) and I don't care for the upselling when everything on the price menu is online. As they were able to finish one home I hired them to do another, based on time. Would I hire again, I'd give them a 3/5 stars, so not necessarily. It was 100% based on scheduling on why they got my business and they sold me on the instant reply and online menu, but I wasn't impressed with the mess (had to vacuum after they came) and the upselling and their hesitation of booties. I also prefer precision (screwing in all vents) over rushing for a completion. I had to run around and ask them to put the vent covers back on. They asked me to write a check to a "new company" and that seemed sketchy/uncomfortable too as I thought I'd hired Evergreen Air...
