In the most recent instance, he was very accommodating and able to squeeze me in for a last minute inspection. Through the inspection process, he was very thorough and detail oriented. He pointed out many things which I didn't see and was able to give recommendations. What impressed me at the end was the follow up. He sent out my inspection report very quickly via email, after the inspection was done. There was NO waiting around for hours, looking for that new email. James was the only inspector to fully respond to my initial inquiry. Seriously, I emailed about five inspectors asking roughly five questions and all the other guys skipped over half my questions. James was the only one to answer all my questions AND he responded the same day. 2. PRICING. On top of that, James beat out the other inspectors on cost. I was suspicious, assuming this meant some corners would be cut, but James did it all and then some! He went on the roof to perform a full inspection, got into the attic and lower crawlspace, checked all appliances and fixtures - things other inspectors were missing. 3. THOROUGHNESS. I consider myself a handy guy and have an engineering background so as a challenge to myself I swept through the house first to find problems. Let me tell you, I am lucky to have had James because he found all sorts of issues that I missed! He absolutely paid for his services several times over with the things he found as I was able to go to the seller and have them fix things. 4. (BONUS) PATIENCE. On top of it all, James let me walk around with him throughout the inspection to watch and ask questions. Two hours of answering my constant stream of questions is hard enough, but he was still able to do a great job. So it's pretty easy to review a business and give it 5 stars when everything goes right. But what…read morehappens when something goes wrong? It's all about how the business handles it. So we had a smallish remodel project in our garage that involved adding a partition wall, finishing out drywall and painting. The construction part of it was fine in general. When we got to the drywall part, and it was "finished" we had a fairly serious flaw / defect that made the entire project unsatisfactory. Talking with Justin at Puget Services, we was very responsive and just about as upset as we were over the problem. Together, we were able to come up with a solution that did not cost them a whole lot of money to re-do, and fully met our needs and expectations. In the end, the project came out stunning. And just a word about the team. The people that work for this company are the nicest, most professional "handy-men" that I have ever dealt with. So it is great when a company does everything right every time, but when you have an issue, and they can fix it and keep everyone happy, AND get a great review and a repeat customer, that is something great.

Reno-O-Paint did a good job painting the interior of our house in December 2019. We gave them the…read morejob with the condition that they would also paint our house's exterior with a projected start date of September 2020. I started reaching out to them and finally got a projected start date of late Sept. 2020 at the end of July, 2020. As we got into the middle and late August, I tried to reach out to them again to get a firmer start date. After numerous attempts by me they finally responded in the second week of September that they would not be able to follow through with the late September start date. I was told they could do the job next Spring! They stated that due to CoVid they had laid off half their work force! I understand that CoVid has created huge effects in our personal lives and economy. However, I noticed that other companies are responding and continuing to take on work. Ren-O-Paint's decision and late communication with me forced me to immediately search and find a company willing to take on my house painting. Fortunately, I was able to succeed finding someone and will get my house painted when I wanted it done and not to Ren-O-Paint's schedule. I regret having to give this negative review of Ren-O-Paint not keeping their commitments, but so it is! Despite the crisis, other companies are able to make commitments and keep them!

However, after he began work on our projects, it became apparent immediately that his communication skills were practically nonexistent. We were very frustrated. He did not respond to emails or texts and did not bother to take our calls. The quality of his work was shoddy, at best. His subcontractor did not use tarps while making holes in the wall for some electrical work. He left a huge mess; fine dust particles all over the house. The concrete repair on the sidewalk was done without framing. He promised to come back with a concrete saw to even it out, which he has not done. He has stopped responding to all our messages. He rebuilt a window frame in the garage with an exhaust fan. The frame has gaps on both the sides. Again, he is refusing to respond to our requests. DO NOT HIRE THE BEARDED CRAFTSMAN. YOU WILL BE UTTERLY FRUSTRATED AND DISSATISFIED.
