    Was looking for a refrigerator for my new house. Happened to stop over shortly before they closed…read moreand hadn't done any research before hand. A female employee quickly came over to assist us and give us information. She rapidly gave us a ton of specs and information on a bunch of the refrigerators. Since I wasn't well versed in the different brands, styles, specs etc, it was a lot of information to take in so quickly. I must have missed something that she said, because after I asked her a question about one of the refrigerators, she looked at my girlfriend, shook her head, rolled her eyes, and said "geeze it's like pulling your hair out with him." I couldn't believe it! What an extremely rude and disgusting comment. I am the customer! You aren't supposed to be insulting the customer. How stupid can you be? So unprofessional and nasty. I was planning on purchasing a lot of things from this highway appliance for my new house, but not after that experience!

Looked at GE website and picked Highway Appliance on the list...called them...talked to Carla....this was a Monday....she said she would have to order it but would have it on Wednesday...and matched the price that I found at a competitor. 48 hr turn around for an item.. I had recently purchased a larger mailbox to replace the one we currently have. Upon opening it up to install it I found that it was damaged. I had purchased this mailbox at a different Lowe's location and decided that since I was going to be out running anyway that whichever Lowe's location I came across first would be the one I would exchanged it for. That just happened to be the Belle Vernon location. I came in with my big boxed mailbox and just wanted to do an even exchange. However, and I did not know this, if an item is damaged they have to refund your money and you just go an purchase a new item. A bit odd, but whatever, I was going to be doing that anyway. This interaction was quite the pleasant interaction that I was happy to be here. The associate took her time to explain the process so that I wouldn't be mislead in any way. And it set the pace for the rest of my time here. Once I made it through that I headed back to where they have their mailbox display. I find the one I wanted and of course the two that are on the shelves for purchase are damaged their self. I looked around for assistance, found one of those buttons and pushed it until someone showed up. This associate that showed up went above and beyond to help me. I explained that I had just returned a mailbox because of damage and that the two on the shelves were already damaged. I could see that on the top shelves there were several other of the same type I was in need of. This associate pulled over one of those rolling stairs, climbed to the top, grabbed two or three boxed mailboxes and brought them all down. Here is where he went above and beyond. He opened the box to let me inspect it to make sure it wasn't damaged. Not just opened the box, but pulled the mailbox out, showed me all angles, and the inside. I had confidence that this mailbox was in fact not damaged. When I got to the register they customer service did not stop there. Quick and fast. Asking if I found what I needed. And was quick to pick up on that I basically just did an even exchange when I handed her the exact change. If this location wasn't so far out of the way for me, this would be my first pick anytime I needed to go to a Lowe's

Last week LOWES had 3 SUPERVISORS watching people go thru the self checkouts with no one on the registers. Lowes will be gone down the road.

    I set up a service request on a Wed. for a fridge that kept clicking and cycling, and because the…read moreservice was several days away and I was leaving town the following week, I tried to solve the problem myself and thought I'd succeeded. I called immediately and canceled the appointment, explaining that the problem seemed to have resolved. Unfortunately, the fridge started cycling again, and I called back to say the problem remained, to ask if the Monday appointment were still open, and to request another service call be scheduled if not. I was assured I would get a call back. When I got no call by 4 pm Monday, I called again, and again was assured I would get a call back as soon as possible. When I still got no call, I called again Tuesday afternoon. I am now up against a wall: I need to leave town, the problem is not fixed, and I am concerned that it may be the compressor, even though the fridge is fairly new. Who knows what I will come home to find? False assurances of callbacks and no follow-through underscore a level of unreliability that sure doesn't work for me. "We can't make it" would have been OK -- I would have known to call another repair service. Encouraging others to steer clear.

They cancelled three times on us this week, almost at the end of the day both times (arrival window was 8am-5pm). What's worse is the third time Vicki (receptionist) told a flat out lie that no One was home- when I pointed out that's strange because we are home and I'll check doorbell camera- she suddenly changed her story to an issue with parts and he would come Monday. what!! He hasn't even been able to look at the refrigerator and he knows what the issue is?! We have no doubt that he just wanted an excuse to no show again. this business is either bias or just plain unreliable- either way stay clear of them!
