Small town place, friendly people, fast service, open after five…read more My husband and I were driving on the 35 S from Minneapolis to Tulsa when we stopped to get gas in Holt, MO. Our tire went flat in a matter of minutes while filling the tank. It was super cold and snowy, which is a terrible circumstance for car trouble when your nearest family member is four hours away... I found J & D's on Yelp, called them and they said to come on over. We filled the tank with air and made it there without problems. The address on Yelp was outdated, so we had to call for directions. When we got there, they were able to get us in immediately and patched our tire in about 40 minutes (had to work around an icy tire). The lady at the desk was so nice and talked to us while we waited. All in all the patch was only $18 an we were on our way, only delayed from our destination an hour. They don't take credit card. Luckily we had cash, but there's an ATM across the street. They also have storage units and next door is a cute candy shop. All in all a positive experience. My car, like many cars that are on the market today, has tons of bells and whistles, so adding a battery means doing a reset and reprogram. Guess what? I don't have the tools or the knowledge on how to do that. Could I change a battery many years ago? Absolutely! Could I change a battery now? No way... That's why I needed someone with the tools, the know-how, and the availability. I put in a request via Yelp to get a project started, and Prymo was the first to respond and had availability the next morning. They sent a tech to my house, he quickly diagnosed that the battery had no charge left, even though I had a jump the day before, and he commenced replacement. I didn't have to do anything other than do what I usually do, which is work from home. Fast-forward a half-hour and the job was done. I had a new battery, the tech had reprogrammed everything to its proper state, and he was on his way. Prymo accepts debit and credit, though a credit card purchase will come with a 3% charge, which is very fair since that's what the banks stick to the business. It wasn't cheap, but most of the cost was in the actual battery itself, which came with a five-year warranty. Great response, simple to navigate and schedule, and the tech was professional and skilled. Great experience and highly recommend if you're in the same situation.
